HI! i donno if theres really a topic like this already ninja buut.... i been lookin thru magic stuff tryin teh find deh right thing gonk usually i dont look thru wicca that much cuz its a religion but ALSO cuz theres SOOO much and i dont know where teh start gonk i consecrated some tools like a athame, broom, chalice, bells...um...some other stuff. kinda forgot sweatdrop athames handy.
ANYWAY my question is whutre deh best things to start out in? ninja like beginners spells or chants or potions orrr whutever ninja they dont hafta be easy. just the things that get people started 3nodding

They are only made by Wiccans, no one else can make those. Call it is a ritualistic knife.

And my point is, regardless if you made it or not, an Athame is a Wiccan tool and only that. So unless you're Wiccan (and can prove it), it's called a ritualistic knife.

And an athame doesn't become an athame until you do the proper ritual, which only Wiccans know. It's not in any public book. Don't feel bad for not knowing, I just recently found that out myself. It's a ritual knife, I call mine Charlie

As the others have said Athame is strictly a Wicca name for a ceremonial knife created via a ritual known only to initiates.
I have two knifes I work with one is a large jack knife the other is a dagger (sometimes called my Precious or Bob but everything in my house is called Bob at one time or another).
As for things to begin with...Meditation is a great exercise for those starting out. It is always wise to give careful thought to spells before you cast. If you don't really have a specific need or situation there is no point to cast. Its a waste of energy to cast a just for the sake of casting.
If you are practicing an eclectic neo pagan path I would suggest you start with full moon/solstice/equinox/harvest rituals. These give you good basics for spell work and their focus is on the cycles of nature.

hahaha i didnt know people named their daggers! surprised i wanna do that 4laugh meditatin sounds like a good place to start 3nodding im so bad at that whee issit so you can control yur thoughts better for spells?

I was kidding about mine having a name, although it is a replica of the king's sword from LOTR. At least that's what the flea market guy told me, I just got it because it had the dual edges.

oh... well im still namin mine xp ish not a replica tho. thats pretty cool 3nodding mine was just a letter opener from midevil times that i put wax with symbols on and did a little ritual
mebbe i'll name it micky. like micky mouse ninja i like that name. and that mouse.
