The forst of Menos is an area below the surface of Hueco Mundo's desert where the average Hollow hide from the Arrancar. Gillian- and Adjuchas-class Menos dwell here, along with possibly Vasto Lorde-class Menos. The forest is filled with large trees made of a silvery quartz substance. These trees extend to the surface and dot the landscape of the desert in Hueco Mundo.

A set of massive double doors formed like smoke somewhere in the center of the Menos Forest. One door was made of a darker stone than the other. If one were to look more closely at the doors one would see images of life on the lighter one and images of death on the darker one. But each image was fleeting and another would bubble up out of the stone in its place. And then another. With an ominous rumble, the doors began to creak open. The Firefox stepped forward and the doors closed behind her then faded away. In one hand was her wakizashi, Vida. In the other was her katana, Muerte. Mishiko glanced about and recognized the area to be part of the Menos Forest. She had spent some time exploring it about two centuries ago in human time. It had been back when she had been a mere one-tail. Mishiko had always hated being the youngest Kitsune. It meant she had less experience. But obviously she had made up for it in raw power and ability or she would not be the third Kitsune. Now she was back in this flea pit. With a sigh, Mishiko began running, looking for a familiar landmark. She needed to find the way out and she didn't feel like using Translado to get around. She needed all her energy to burn Las Noches to the ground.

Chi hadn’t lost all her doom and gloom appearance, but she made little or no reaction when she was touched or smiled at. The pain had subsided but the fan was over her face once more as she had to compete against keeping herself cool and her little area. She watched how all the purity of the home she loved changed in a split second she walked through the doors to the world of the dead. She wasn’t the best person to know what it signaled but she could feel Aoi here. Closing her eyes as she folded up her fan and hid her hands in her sleeves. She would make it her mission to try and get her back the stealthy way. She didn’t see the point in being destructive all the time. Though she could have been called a hypocrite for saying such things. Her eyes were now slits of purest teal as the wind rustled through the forest. She was listening, listening with intent to what was being said. The enemies here were not a threat to her so she could be safe. It was the Espada she was interested in, and she was asking around for directions. A snicker of hatred passed over her lips but only loud enough for the wind to mask it. Looking up above her she noticed a shadow moving. They must be wondering what in hells name they were. Well.. If they caused no trouble then she would pass through like the wind.
Kicking off the ground, she began to climb one of the trees. She wondered if they had to climb the ladder as it were. She had noticed the holes in the ceiling. Stopping near the top of one of the trees, she sat down her white clothing always rustling with the air she was creating. Her sandaled feet kicking off the trees. She wondered if they were stronger or weaker in this environment. Why had everyone forgotten about the kitsune though. It made her wonder even more, they remembered such inspirational figures like Inari, but the felt that little hurt that they never knew what they were. A yawn passed her lips as she looked down to her glowing Hoshi no Tama. She was conserving her attacks now that she couldn’t do her Heaven’s Downburst cause it was the one that she had used to destroy the bridge. A frown appeared on her features as she continued to think of what she could possibly do on this mission other than locate and signal Aoi. Though she knew that probably that fox demon could pick her off. She just wanted her sister back. It was a pain that she had nothing to do but sit and wait for important orders when Uncas arrived. Letting one hand rest on the tree trunk and the other on the branch she felt her Hoshi no Tama on her leg tingled with built up energy.
She pushed off the branch with one hand and stood on it perfectly. Her pants were split like shorts but the lengths that were not clinging to her figure flailed in the air that she was creating. She knew that she had to climb higher, but she wanted to wait. Who knew what was up there, a smirk crossed her lips as she let on hand trail down to her dagger, it was unique in a way. Hers was almost invisible and she could make it disappear when she called upon it. Though she would be able to heal if it touched an ally, and when she changed she would do damage for the better. Her tails twitched as she looked around. She could see things here, she could see their shapes. Their masks, what were they? She tilted her head some and let her blonde hair fall over her face, her ears twitching as she made them stand to attention. She was naturally curious by nature so it was natural that she would want to inspect them closer. Kicking off the tree, she landed in the middle of a few of them, she sized them up and didn’t let her reaitsu rise any more than the minimum she was already at. Her face was set in a smile as she raised her hand and waved. She would probably ask for directions if they didn’t look so hostile.
Now because she didn’t speak she wondered if they could understand her if she were to ask them which way the surface was or rather, where the Espada lived though she doubted even they knew. Though the more she stood in between four of them. They really couldn’t help themselves, really. One lunged at her from behind. Kicking off the tree branch she watched him fall forward as she came down on him with just her sandals. The sound of his back breaking under her feet sounded funny as she just watched the others stare at her in shock. The one she was standing on continued to try and squirm his way out from under her. She probably weighed less than he did, but at the same time all her strength in her legs was to keep him from clawing his way out and getting a hold of her. So to the others that were staring at her, she only did one movement and that was, extend her arm to the black sky above, with the odd holes that seemed to hold brightness to them. They all followed her arm as her head looked up with them. They seemingly knew what she was going on about and just stared at her in silent response. Good thing for her she could read people as well as they all seemingly refused to tell her how to get up there.
Kicking off the one masked monsters back she faded back over to the tree she had been standing on moments ago. One hand on the tree trunk as she let her other hand cup her chin, her ears and tail twitching. ’So thats how you get up there huh?’ she spoke to herself in her mind. Letting her hand fall from the cusp of her chin to the handle of her dagger. She twitched with excitement, she loved exploring new places and because this was one of them. She began to wonder if she should scout ahead and make sure that they were going to be going in the right place. However, she was still close to where the fire fox was and the opening was. She knew that it would be better if she waited for both Uncas and Kenzo. Though she probably had noted it too, he had been drinking when the meeting had started. However how much to drink did he have, she didn’t know and wouldn’t judge him on that. A yawn passed her lips, silent as always. She reached into the over flowing fabric of her sleeves and removed her fan once more, spreading it out in her fingers. She wondered if it was the little fire fox that the heat was too much for her or it was the area she was in.
Allowing her heart beat to drop she sent shivers down her body as she seemingly wore a shroud of constant cool air around her, she could feel a storm brewing and it wouldn’t be for the better either. Aoi was somewhere… Closing her eyes she tilted her head back to the apparent ceiling and tried to see if the winds would show her some sign of her. Any at all, her eyes closing as it looked like she was about to fall out of the tree. Her feet slipped off the branch as she suspended herself in midair, her arms out stretched as if her spirit had left her in search for Aoi in the realm above. She hadn’t left herself vulnerable of course. She knew that those things probably would try and attack her again. Though she wasn’t falling. It was as if she had invisible strings holding her body out to dry. It was a technique she used often when she wanted to find someone and mentally touch them. Hoping that she herself would touch Aoi, she could at least get something through to her without alerting the others or so it seemed. Her spirit was sweeping, and it came back to her and she coughed a little. Where ever Aoi was she couldn’t get through to her, either it was the distance or it was a strong force. Not that she cared, she loved a challenge now and again. Seemingly snapping her bonds or invisible strings, she forced herself to fall back to the ground slowly. Standing on her feet, she smiled a little to herself. ’I smell a challenge in the air…’ She spoke with teal eyes to no one in particular, as her body shook with silent laughter. Lets G O, Lets g o, Lets g o together, S i n g, S i n g, Sing a S O N G L o o k, L o o k, Look h i g h up Because we'll definitely R I S E up, This impact you can't explain, Which gives you goosebumps T H R O U G H O U T your body, We always, always keep G I V I N G it to you,

So, that was an ‘Espada’ huh? Interesting, well they were all going to have to die though, who dared try to insult the Kitsunes so? Oh sure they were obscure and hardly known but hey, at least they wouldn’t live to repeat the experience a second time, right? Kenzo, himself at least, would make sure of it. Sure, he was much of a gregarious fellow, but he did care about what happened to those close to him! Or maybe it was just the sake amplifying some of his emotions.
As Uncas maintained the portal, Kenzo trailed in after Mishiko and Chi entered. Wasn’t that interesting? Kenzo sighed and rubbed his head. Quintessence, he likely was never going to understand what that even meant. Well it was pretty convenient at times like this, opening up portals to other dimensions and all. Arriving out on the other side, Kenzo took his time to survey the surroundings.
Well Mishiko hadn’t taken all that many steps away from where they had exited, it seemed as if Chi was going off somewhere. Now, glancing around, it appeared like a leaf-less forest and, looking up, with a ceiling of sorts. Kenzo frowned in distaste at that. A ceiling in a place like this? Sure, the trees were poking through but… a ceiling. How was he supposed to utilize his power in here?
Then, too, Kenzo began to notice encroaching figures wearing white masks and his eyes narrowed as his hand went towards his Bakusotenrai and drew it in one movement. Although they didn’t look exactly like them, he was familiar with creatures of this sort, the masked fiends known as ‘Hollows’. Just the sight of them was enough to turn on Kenzo’s rather kitsune side that usually surfaced whenever conflict appeared imminent. It seemed as if it was now a reaction whenever these beings were in sight, and deservedly so.
They were beings that, after his death at the hands of an assassin sent by his own uncle, hunted and hounded him from that point on, even when the kitsune attacked and fused with him, until his spiritual power was enough to successfully ward them off, these ones were staying a good distance away from these unknown entities, apparently not sure what to make of the kitsunes. Well, Kenzo was sure they’d scatter like the beasts they were when they felt Uncas’ approach, along with his massive reiatsu. On the same note, Kenzo wanted out of here, the trees and the whole place just felt confining and it would inhibit his fighting abilities.
Probably much like how Mishiko was feeling, he would rather like to bring their habitats crashing down on the Espada’s heads in retribution, yet he couldn’t aim properly if they lived in a place like this, dark and out of sight of the skies overhead. Glancing around, he head the sound of a rather comical, if it wasn’t for his mood, smack. Apparently one of these Hollows had decided to test their luck out on her, well the response was appropriate, defeating it without much effort, which was how they would take down these Espadas that dared to kidnap their second-in-command.
As Chi went ahead and did her thing, Kenzo wasn’t exactly quite sure what it was, after a while she came back down. Though she wasn’t looking directly at him, he picked up a bit of her body language that suggested a challenge somewhere? Kenzo wasn’t sure exactly what she was getting at but Chi was shaking slightly in a manner that could be described as voiceless laughter, like she often did. Well, so something was coming this way, was it? Uncas would soon arrive though and even if didn’t, Kenzo was confident enough in their abilities to hold their own against any foe.

After everyone made their way through the portal Uncas followed suit. It was as if the portal had just transferred him in an instant so it felt like he was stepping in and out upon entrance. He would exit out of the portal with a calm look. Mishiko had decided to take her own path their and that was fine but a warning next time so he wouldn’t have to use his own power sense her way seemed to be more natural but that was her though. The fiery fox, temper that had no bounds and even now her only thing of concern was to burn the entire place down. He wanted to approach cautiously for one reason only and that was something that they all seemed to have about them, their Hoshi no Tama. If Aoi’s was injured with their fighting or violent outburst then she was as good as dead and who’s to say that the enemy had not grasped a hold of it already? This was why he didn’t enter with unrelenting force. Sure, all the Kitsune were strong but in such a situation, it was wiser to have the intelligence to carry out a successful plan.
Golden orbs that spoke silently of being the alpha male scanned the area and he found chitin colored mask with the same colored eyes as his starring at him and backing away. They were of no concern so they didn’t need to die. He senses begin to go into function as he tried to find Aoi’s scent. It was vague but not quite here. It would have been stronger if she actually passed through here so, that was one thing that told him she had not been here. They couldn’t linger here long because, this was foreign territory and, other strong, ancient beings resided here and it wasn’t his goal to start a fight with every single race of hollow. That would not go well no matter how strong they were. Not saying that they would die but they would not win that fight and if they decided to pursue after such a battle, then the odds would not be in their favor. Hell, they weren’t in their favor now.
Now, he had to decide which way to go. Following the scent to Aoi would take too long but something else gave off a much stronger musk, if you will. He quirked an eyebrow and looked straight up pass the trees only to see darkness. Now, physical visualization said nothing up there but his nose said much different. He could smell it; there was blood, salt, and a much different smell. The blood was obviously spilled from random hollow or other who tried to enter this realm but that salt smell? Those were the content of….sand? Why would minerals of sand be felt above the menos forest? Then it hit him as he narrowed his eyes looking at Chi, Kenzo, and sensing Mishiko. So if they really wanted to enter Hueco Mundo, they could save themselves a short trip and announced themselves as being present so they could get this over with. Either they would show up and talk some common sense, or they tear this whole place down until they find Aoi. Uncas voice projected through the clearings of this disgusting and lively and yet at the same time, dead forest.
” Above us is where this mission will start. Make you’re way up by any means necessary. This will give us a chance to make our presence known.”
Uncas rarely unsheathed his dagger but it did activate signaling the use of his element. Bright glows would be seen appearing everywhere on Uncas body as if something was charging with in him. Even the sound of it charging could viscously be heard. It was like the sound of multiple foxes growling at an opponent that had threatened their young. Most of the strange element would be seen being used. He held his hands upward without looking just because simply the downpour of what was above this place would be like a violent waterfall. With just a twitch of his fingers a flash was seen but nothing had been seen shooting out. It would just simply occur filling the area above him instantly with a highly dense sudden blast of reiatsu. To others it would appear to be a wide arc beam appearing out of no where and striking everything where it appeared. A giant hole would be blown in the top of the menos forest and just as he expected, a downpour of sand came down atop of him. He didn’t move but a white silverfish figure could be seen moving through the sand fall and he was making his way up to the top to Hueco Mundo. When he landed he wouldn’t have to move, that would be enough to get someone of importance attention and then, he could make his demands crystal clear. The moment of truth was at reckoning. It was the nail in the coffin for this whole charade of pointlessness. Either they are smart and return Aoi back to them and give a good reason as to why they did it, or they begin something that would go down in the history books, the war of Kitsune and Espada.

(I just thought I'd mention this. Mishiko used an entirely different form of transportation which is the special ability of her katana and wakizashi. Uncas, Chi and Kenzo all used Uncas's form of transportation to get to their location. They did not use Translado, like Mishiko. Because of the difference in both techniques, Mishiko is actually a good distance away. So could you kindly edit your posts? I'm sorry for the inconvenience and I'll gladly be more specific to this extent next time.)
Off ahead and slightly to the left, Mishiko could feel the distant arrival of Chi, Kenzo and then Uncas. The fact that they were not far off of her intended path of travel irked the Firefox somewhat. To be sure, operating in a group had never proved particularly pleasant an experience for Mishiko. Sure, there had been times in all of the stages of her warped life which having another to guard her back had saved her. Yet, there were distinct disadvantages. Mishiko had always been proud of her way of fighting. She had been an assassin and a samurai and was now the fire Kitsune. Her way had always been to fight alone. It had been a major concession to create a combo attack with Aoi.
Poor Aoi... Mishiko had always been distinctly aware of the worlds and their inhabitants. She had always had a curiosity for her "neighbors" but had always remained unobserved. From her time spent wandering Hueco Mundo, Mishiko was intimately familiar with the savage ways of all hollows. Including arrancar and Espada. Such knoweledge made her fear for Aoi and set her blood boiling murderously. The more she considered the situation, the more her rage and fear grew.
The more her thoughts returned to her previous journeys, the more Mishiko also began to consider her possibilities. She began to consent that she would need some help to destroy Las Noches. Otherwise, such activities would kill her. But she gleefully knew that she would succeed in that attempt. In truth, Mishiko was starting to get rather bored with life. She always needed something to do. Recently, no outstanding activities had been forthcoming. This boredom had a rather perverse affect on her. She was now thinking of this form of suicide more openly than ever before.
Dead, however, she would be no good to Aoi whom she was determined to return safely home. And her grandfather would have turned in his grave if he knew how she was thinking. No, suicide was out of the question. And surely embarking alone to destroy the citadel would be suicide. So, she must find another to assist her. She was certain that her "siblings" were all greatly enraged as well but she had reason to believe that they would restrain themselves from such destructive activities if they could avoid it.
That was another strange difference between her and her adoptive family. Mishiko was well-aware that she was a hothead. In point of fact, she enjoyed it most times. Mishiko enjoyed being different. Sometimes, however, she had found it cumbersome. Her anger had often slowed down operations and she had recieved little peace regarding Muerte and Vida. Mishiko doubted Chi or Kenzo knew of her secret ability. In fact, both Kitsune had been rather disapproving of her weapons of choice. Atleast she assumed they had been. To be honest, had she been in their position, she would have found both Katana and Wakizashi to be consent to weakness.
As Mishiko ran, she had reversed her grip on Muerte and Vida so as to run more easily and avoid the risk of stabbing a friendly. She was encroaching on the others' position but it would be some time before she reached them. Now her katana and wakizashi pointed behind her, parallel with the ground. Kasai was still at her side, opposite her other weapons' sheathes.
The battle cry was what warned Mishiko. She had been in a rather deadly mood as it were but her meandering thoughts had gotten the better of her. She had failed to notice an enemy. Using selective kasoku, she spun as fast as lightning and slashed out with enough force to split one of the "trees". Vida sank through flesh and the unfortunate hollow split into two and fell at her feet. From the scrapes and thumps she heard behind her, Mishiko knew another was coming in to attack as well. It was an old but acceptable technique to attack in quick procession to catch an enemy off guard. However, Mishiko had been around too long to fall for it. Judging it was close enough, Mishiko let the force from the initial slash carry into her next attack. She stabbed behind her with Vida and was rewarded with token resistance and a soft gasp. Mishiko could feel the hollow begin to fall and turned Vida so the leading edge was to her left. She slashed left and allowed her movement to slow enough to take the hollow to the side as well. It wouldn't do to be bloodied or smell of death so soon in the invasion.
Mishiko could sense a great deal of other hollow converging on her location. Upon further examination, she swore when she realized she had been letting out a steady flow of reiatsu. She cursed her thoughtlessness and worked to discontinue the leak. It was no use, the converging hostiles were far too close now to be deterred. Mishiko reversed her grip on both her weapons and ascended to the lowest branch of a near by tree. From her position she waited.
The first hollow to arrive were gillians. The really big kind. Mishiko's heart sunk. Alone, a gillian was a weakling. In fact, even small gatherings were easy to defeat. But small gatherings were under ten. The number that lumbered into the area were easily over twenty. At the gillians' feet, several much smaller hollow emerged. Mishiko knew without a doubt that at least five were adjuchas. The rest were common hollows. She counted them and came to a total of fourty. Together with the adjuchas and gillian, she counted sixty eight hostiles.
"Damn," Mishiko swore under her breath. That would take a pretty little hunk of her reiatsu to destroy such a number. "I suppose it can't be helped."
With a silence that bespoke of years of training, Mishiko resheathed Muerte and Vida. Then she quickly drew Kasai. Before any could respond to the sudden glow of her dagger, Mishiko sent ten Misairus in quick procession at her opponents. Ignoring the massive gust of heat and mushroom cloud billowing from the attack, Mishiko sheathed Kasai and use Kasoku to speed away from the scene. For safety, she decided to use the trees. If that explosion didn't draw attention, she didn't know what would. For that reason, she had to get to the others and get them moving.
Uncas isn't gonna be happy, she groaned mentally. Hopefully he had the sense to leave the area as soon as possible.
