Last night I received a call from our local police station...
They claimed to have arrested my attacker, and that I may have to come to court... Ehh, I'm not too familiar with judicial terms or anything really about judicial....ness..... So, I'll leave that out. (I'm also leaving out the reason as to why I have to attend court for the sake of privacy.)
Even though at first, I thought jail time would be enough....
I can't help but feel like he should deserve more punishment. I'm also, not sure if I should reveal to him the fact that he now has a daughter...?

What would you feel if your attacker is arrested? And if they were already, how did you react?

id sue him or let him be sentenced in jail ( if i did have an attacker that raped meh). :3

If I had an attacker and they got arrested, I'd have them sent to prison.

Modern day liberal police~ Aww, this person just doesn't know their place in the world. They say they are a slave to society, all they need is a little bit of consuling then they will be fine.
Reality~ Consuling has been proven not to work if the customer doesn't want to change. A lot of people in consuling find it awkward and will act out the steps of change to be released. These rapist only spend a short time in prison, and in their time in prison they probably do rape others. Death is the only sentence that could stop them from committing the same crime again.
My opinion~ Carry a gun around with you at night if you are a girl. Also, try not to wear clothing to flashy in places you are not familiar with. Sadly, most rapist and kidnappers go for girls with blonde hair and blue eyes, suggestion is to make yourself attract in people that you know won't hurt you. It's hard with modern day styles, if you can't sew your own clothes in the end, just learn a lot of self defense. With the politics right now, they will not bring these people to fair justice because they want an act of them being human. My opinion, the first time you rape or murder you are a monster, no longer human. Therefore, in self defense if they even attempt these things it is not a sin to kill them before they kill someone innocent.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you... and I think that's a common misconception. I don't know the statistics offhand, but I'm pretty sure that majority of crime victims are minorities, and majority of crime offenders are minorities. Also; blond haired and blue eyed people aren't as common as they seem. If majority of rapists preyed on blondies, then the rape rate would go down a WHOLE lot.
As I have said tons and tons of times before, rape isn't about beauty, or anything of the sort... Rape is usually just about power and control.

Rape is usually just about power and control.There aren't a lot of blue-eyed blondes, at least where I've been, so I don't think that part's right, either. And rapists don't only go for girls and women. Some of them go for men and dudes, too. And about the gun thing, if someone is a minor, how would they get it? Especially if no one they know has one. Even if they did, I doubt it would be voluntarily given away, if they're an adult. The kid would have to steal it. Lastly, the ugliest person in the world could be raped. Welcome Bucky mentioned power and control as motives, which is true. Those are two of them. Another could be some kind of psychological problem.

If my attacker was arrested I'd probably feel the same way you would that they needed more than just punishment and if they were already I'm not to sure how I would react

If I see a lot of black people eating steak, doesn't mean every single black person eats meat.
