Updated 07/04/2010 Due to negative feedback on the previously announced tournament entrant cap, for the final week of the preliminaries we are going to try and get as many as we can into the Main event. So those still wanting to join the Summer Tournament, you have a week left to get your three wins in. [Updated 07/02/2010] Due to the popularity of this tournament, I'm afraid I'm going to have to put a cap on how many entrants can make it to the next round, which from this post forth shall be 12. Seeing how there are already 10 entrants in the Main Event, if you want to be apart of this tournament, as there are only two spots left, I recommend you get your battles in ASAP. Summer fever is in the air and that same attitude continues on here at D/P Gaming! As a means to celebrate the long blistful days of Summer, we here at D/P Gaming will be hosting our Summer tournament for our members to showcase off thier best Fire, Water and Grass-type Pokemon in honor of one of our most beloved seasons for sizzling prizes! Just like last year's Halloween Hysteria and Winter tournament, if you'd like to register for this tournament, be sure you read all the rules and post your friend code on this thread. You are free to start challenge other registered participates just as soon as you are added to the tournament roster, so check back often as we will do our best to keep this thread as up-to-date as possible. --------------- Battle Format: 6v6, Level 50 or 100 Singles Pokémon Allowed: Only Fire, Water, and Grass types are allowed in this tournament. Pokémon Banned: All Uber-tier Pokemon and legendaries are prohibited from this tournament (That of which includes: Moltres, Entei, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Palkia, Manaphy, Phione, Heatran, Shaymin and Arceus). Clauses in Effect:Species Clause: All of your Pokémon must be different. Sleep Clause: You can only put 1 of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep at a single time. Self-KO Clause: Your Pokémon cannot use moves like Explosion or Self-Destruct to win if it's the only Pokémon remaining on your team. The same applies for Perish Song and Destiny Bond. Evasion Clause: Moves like Double Team and Minimize are banned from being used. Luck "Hax" Item Clause: When this clause is in effect, that means the following items are banned from use: Brightpowder, Quick Claw, Focus Band and King's Rock. OHKO Clause: Moves like Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill and Sheer Cold are banned from use. --------------- Preliminaries: To move on to the main tour, each trainer must obtain 3 victories. The battles must follow the rules and clauses, and must be Singles set to either level 50 or level 100. Trainers may challenge anyone at any time as long as they obtain 3 victories from 3 different trainers. Losses do NOT count against you, so even if you lose a match, don't fret and keep on battling until you obtain your 3 required victories to advance to the Main Event. Preliminaries will last until July 12th then the qualifying Trainers will proceed. Main Event: The Main Event will be a simple Bracket style Tournament with all matches being Best 2/3. Each Round will have 1 week before each unfinished matches get cut and the rest move on.

I feel rather embarrassed. Out of all the Pokemon I have bred for all my teams, I only have 3 Pokemon ready that qualify for this tournament. (2 water and 1 grass) sweatdrop
I suppose when I have time, I will have to make a new team for this tournament. I'll sign up when I am done.
