In celebration of the Holiday season, D/P Gaming will be hosting a tournament of chilling proportions and we hope you will come join us as we engage in more than just snowball fights with our beloved Water, Ice and Psychic-type Pokemon for joyful prizes! Just like our previous Halloween Hysteria event tournament, if you'd like to register for this tournament, be sure you read all the rules and just post your friend code on this thread. You are free to start challenging other registered participates just as soon as you are added to the tournament roster, so check back frequently as we will do our best to keep this thread as up-to-date as possible. --------------- Battle Format: 6v6, Level 50 or 100 Singles Pokémon Allowed: Only Ice, Water, and Psychic types are allowed in this tournament. Pokémon Banned: All Ubers, Legendaries, and Big 5 are prohibited from this tournament. Update 12/07/09 As a means to avoid further confusion, the list of banned pokemon is as follows: Arceus, Regice, Articuno, Suicune, Kyogre, Phione, Manaphy, Palkia, Mew, Mewtwo, Deoxys (All forms), Wynaut, Wobbuffet, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Cresselia, Lugia, Celebi, Metagross, Latias, Latios and Jirachi. All of your Pokémon must be different. Sleep Clause: You can only put 1 of your opponent's Pokémon to sleep at a single time. Self-KO Clause: Your Pokémon cannot use moves like Explosion or Self-Destruct to win if it's the only Pokémon remaining on your team. The same applies for Perish Song and Destiny Bond. Evasion Clause: Moves like Double Team and Minimize are banned from being used. Luck "Hax" Item Clause: When this clause is in effect, that means the following items are banned from use: Brightpowder, Quick Claw, Focus Band and King's Rock. OHKO Clause: Moves like Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill and Sheer Cold are banned from use. --------------- Preliminaries: To move on to the main tour, each trainer must obtain 3 victories. The battles must follow the rules and clauses, and must be Singles set to either level 50 or level 100. Trainers may challenge anyone at any time as long as they obtain 3 victories from 3 different trainers. Losses do NOT count against you. Preliminaries will last until Dec 13th then the qualifying Trainers will proceed. Main Event: The Main Event will be a simple Bracket style Tournament with all matches being Best 2/3. Each Round will have 1 week before each unfinished matches get cut and the rest move on.

First of all, you can do so by not quoting any of the first posts. Secondly, I won't be PMing anyone so check back here for updates. Since this needs explaining, I've updated the first posts on how to go about entering this tournament.
@ Vixanz - Dual type Pokemon are fine. At least one of the types a single Pokemon has must be either Psychic, Ice or Water. For uses of this tournament, the Big 5 clause additionally (and specifically) bans Metagross.

And just so I can help out with people. For anyone that has Shoddy Battle and want to test your team out, you can battle me. I'm not participating in the wi-fi tournament, so you don't have to worry about revealing your team to a competitor. I'm here to help you out. If you would like my help. You can PM me and we can work together a battle time. Also, there is a little gold prize to the first person who can beat me in Shoddy. (I cleared this with Kyren last night.)
