No one ever expected Mandy Blakney to be so irresponsible, that she would be the one partying and drinking instead of assuming the role of he designated driver. It shocked everyone that she even chose to drive home that night, even after all of those tequila shots. Someone should have told her that it was supposed to freeze, that the water from the previous rainstorm would be unsafe to drive on. So, it's no surprise that she hit a patch of black ice that sent her jeep careening and flipping into the ditch that lined the dark road. The brain damage was so bad that doctors gave up on her rather quickly.
Why is this so important?
Ironically enough, her mother was an advocate for M.A.D.D., Mothers Against Drunk Driving. During her period of mourning, Mrs. Blakney was unusually quiet, even up until the funeral. But it was there, right before the eulogy, that she was enlightened. She decided that she should and would educate kids her daughter's age about the damaging effects of drunk driving. Her daughter's casket wasn't even in the ground for long before she decided that she would contact the dean at the local community college, Cedar's Crest, and pitch her idea.
The Dean thought that it was a great idea and did not hesitate to send out the eight letters of notification. It didn't matter that the students were nearly at the conclusion of their first semester, that grades weren't in yet. They would be taking time off for a good reason. The letters read as such:
Quote: Dear Student,
It is my pleasure to inform you that you have been chosen to study abroad. All expenses of this trip will be paid, so you have nothing to worry about! What will be expected of you while away from Cedar's Crest follows:
- You will be given the opportunity to intern with groups and organizations that are working to raise awareness and hopefully prevent drunk driving tragedies within the young adult population.
- You will not be allowed to have any type of mobile devices for there will be other forms of communication that will be provided by the Director of Activities, Mrs. Martha Blakney.
- As an added bonus, you will be awarded a stipend of $500 every two weeks for your efforts.
This internship, that will take place in Phoenix, Arizona, will last until the end of the school year, and will be credited into your GPA. A majority of the activities will take place in a large facility set aside by Mrs. Blakney. Any other questions or inquiries about the program should be forwarded to her at the address below. For one reason or the other, the students have decided to take the trip. Why not make a little money instead of being lectured at everyday? Little do they know that they've been roped into a scam, that what they are becoming involved in is barely a step above humane. All is well at first - the appropriate papers have been drawn and every signature neatly printed on the dotted line. With unreliable communication to the outside world, how are the students going to save themselves? Will something so tender as love be able to make its way into this bizarre situation?
We begin on the first day of the internship, when the students are arriving at the mansion in Phoenix.

Yes my rules are going to be in a paragraph. First thing is first, follow both the guild and the gaian tos'.Secondly this is a literate to advanced role play, that means when posting you do not use *for actions* and please use "For talking" in bold along with your own posting color and for thinking use italics and color. Make your posts Five to Six paragraphs long. Six paragraphs for introduction posts [longer will be loved]. Oh and by the way a paragraph has five sentences in it, so I expect five sentences in each paragraph. do not chat speak. I despise one liners if you are the kind of person who does that I don't want you in my role play. I understand writers block but you can still muster up four paragraphs and I don't want it to be a recurring thing. I have dyslexia, so my grammar may not be the best but I use it to the best of my abilities, I suggest you do the same thing . Now onto profiles, fill them out in the first person because I love profiles to be in the first person. Please role play in the third person. Do not change my skeletons they take a long time to make and it is rude to change skeleton's. No Anime, avatar's, celebrities or signatures for your picture use instead real pictures from vampire freaks , myspace, friendster, photo bucket, modelmayhem, or deviantart. Before posting, all requests must be sent to me in a PM. You must title it "I can't believe it." In it, you must include who you want to play and a 100x 100 icon. Reservations will last for 24hrs. Profiles need to be titled "I saw a spider, I didn't scream." IF THERE IS NO TITLE I WILL IGNORE IT. Romance is encouraged but you cyber on my thread and your are out; this is your warning. When it gets to that point just skip and keep going. Fighting is encouraged just don't kill anyone. I adore Drama so keep this role play filled with it. I would like this role play to be a long term role play, so don't join if you are not going to post, and I want you to post least one to two posts a day. After I accept you I will give you two days to post. If you have not posted by then I will open your spot. Harsh? maybe but I am tired of people wasting my time. When talking out of character I prefer you use the (()) [] [ooc][/ooc] 00c: for out of character talking. Also I love pretty posts, picture of your character headers icons etc....Make sure you use a read able color and readable size, 9-11 font please and you can use bigger for headers and such. Onto cursing well, just don't take it over board which means not every other word got it?. Oh Have fun!

She was the girl that everyone loved to hate. No, she wasn't the b***h and she didn't beat people up for a living. She was the girl who effortlessly pulled off straight A's from the time she'd first gone to elementary school right up through high school. The only thing is, she's very vocal about it - some would say she is too vocal. That doesn't stop her, though. By day, she's the studious one in the front of the class, cheerfully taking notes, but by dusk, she's ready to take a few shots of her own.

In her opinion, people are lying, manipulating, stealing, cheating, heartless creatures put on the earth as a challenge to her. No, she doesn't have ADD, but she might as well. Over the years, she's gotten used to leaving herself little notes and reminders to get through the day. It's a wonder that she's able to get her arms and hands squeaky clean from all of the ink messages she leaves on them. For anything related to school, she spends her time isolated from the outside world, concentrated on that one thing. She'd forget her head if it wasn't attached. Did I mention that she's dangerously clumsy?

Her childhood was an interesting one. What else would explain this girl? What she calls fashion, others call "crazy" and "hobo-like." What she calls eccentricity, others call "gross" and "weird." She did hang out with the science nerds for awhile, even with the jocks and preps, but lately, she's made her home with the goths, a group her mother says she should stay away from. She's perfectly comfortable with what she does and who she is, despite what everyone else says.

It all started in kindergarten. He simply borrowed a crayon from his classmate and later, the girl accused him of stealing and refusing to share. Who knew that 4 year olds had the power to accuse someone for not sharing? Of course, back then he'd been surprised and hurt, but as time went on, he learned to accept it. It seemed as if he was the convenient one to blame everything on. Maybe that's what led to his destructive life.

Many times, he's been at the end of his rope, between a rock and a hard place. There have even been a few instances where he's tried, unsuccessfully, to end his life. Over the years, he's traveled back and forth to rehab, but kind words from strangers who know absolutely nothing about him are lost on a cold, stony disposition.

In his world - it's all about him. If he wanted to, he could own everything and everybody. The thing is, he's not open about it. He tries his best to hide the fact that he truly believes that there is no one that is better than he is. He was always the leader of the winning team, the one that always chose the fat guy or the nerd last in gym. School isn't a problem for him - he's not dead last in his class, but he's not first either. No need to compete with the geeks.
