 "Havin' fun in the Sun." Summer is here again and it's time for partying and having fun. With that in mind, the staff here at the D/P Gaming Guild would like to present to you a series of events to keep you busy all summer long. Wait! It gets even better! Certain events will have various prizes, so be sure to keep an eye out on what's being offered for your chance to score yourself some serious summer-worthy booty. Announcements Summer Clash Update Update 07/08/2010: A Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament entitled "Master of Subspace" has been added to the Summer Clash Tournament Line-up. The date will be announced once all the details have been worked out, so stick around as more info will be coming soon. Summer Tournament Update Update 07/04/2010: Due to negative feedback on the previously announced tournament entrant cap, for the final week of the preliminaries we are going to try and get as many as we can into the Main event. So those still wanting to join the Summer Tournament, you have a week left to get your three wins in. Summer Tournament Update Update 07/02/2010: Due to the popularity of this tournament, I'm afraid I'm going to have to put a cap on how many entrants can make it to the next round, which from this post forth shall be 12. Seeing how there are already 10 entrants in the Main Event, if you want to be apart of this tournament, as there are only two spots left, I recommend you get your battles in ASAP. ---------------------------- Advertise for Us! Once I get my Wi-Fi back, I'll try and enter in the Summer Tournament. Would be a good test for my Electric Type team.

So, any real details as to what the Summer tourney is? I assume the Johto Tourney uses only Kanto/Johto Pokemon. And Storm the Tower is probably something to increase activity at the Battle Tower. Brawlfest is Brawlfest. Little Cup uses level Five NFE 'Mons.

No Electric types? Damn...well, since it's summer I have to guess Fire (for the sun) and ground (for the sand. It's respective item is the Soft Sand, after all). Though that would give Water types too much of an advantage...perhaps Gamefreak is onto something with his guesses.

Ground being weak against Water, and then can't even hit Flying with a STAB move. Doesn't sound like a fair match up, if you ask me, lol.

The only types I can see related to summer are Fire, Water, Flying, Ground, Grass (though it is probably more a spring type, there is the lawn mowing factor of summer...that and heinous yardwork in general...), and Rock. Hang on a sec..."the basics of pokemon"... The types must be Water, Fire, and Grass! Did I get it right?

I might get it again soon...since I'm graduating, a few relatives sent over some cash. $50 each, totaling $100. along with the 50+ I already have, that should be enough for a second router to use for Wi-Fi purposes. I wanna save up for a PSP (KH BBS is on the way), but I'll still have over 100 after buying the router, so I have plenty to save up with. I'll let you guys know how it goes! *Begins nomming on the cookie...*
