IntroductionIt's been moons since the four clans have left their home in the forest and made the Great Journey to their new home by the lake. Firestar is now dead but his stories are still told to this day, and Tigerstar is still used to scare young kits. Better yet, SkyClan has joined them! The lost clan has taken territory right behind ThunderClan and WindClan. The five clans are thriving, even in leaf-bare. The twolegs have been leaving them alone for quite some time and with out them scaring prey away or setting fox traps the clans have nothing to worry about but their neighbors. Although, since prey is plentiful there has been no need to cross any borders so border fights have become less often and Gatherings have been much more peaceful. Although, ShadowClan seems to be eying the clearing ThunderClan took form them moon ago and WindClan has started to hunt more and more birds, are they planning to try and take territory from SkyClan? Every clan cat knows peace can not last long, but will this long lasting peace finally break? Possibly at the next Gathering?

Ruleso1. Literacy, This roleplay is literate to advanced literate. Now, I don't expect ten paragraphs per post. Two paragraphs is the minimum and seven is the maximum. This roleplay is in third person
o2. Romance, This is bound to happen between your characters, but make sure to keep to Gaia's ToS. And remember, keep it realistic, don't have your cat fall in love at first sight! I have one word for that, boring. Make your relationship grow slowly. Also, you can have mates in another clan but don't make every cat do that!
o3. Activity, You are allowed to have as many cats as you can handle only two high ranked cats. Don't take more cats that you can handle. Try and post at least every other day if you can. If you are going away or can't get on please send me a PM and tell me. If you do not do this and you don't post you shall get three warnings. If, after the third warning, you don't reply or post your character will be killed off and replaced.
o4. Pictures, Make them real cats. I don't want any anime pictures or drawings. Also try and not use the same picture as another member.
o5. Profiles, Send your profiles to me by Pm with the title Fallen Souls.
o6. Respect, I'm the owner of this roleplay so I ask everyone to respect me and my judgment. if you are respectful I shall do the same back. if I decide on something please do not argue in the roleplay.
o7. Posting, Please post in size 10 or 11. I don't expect a super fancy post but I'd like a picture of your cat and it's name. If you want help malign a style please drop me a PM and I'll be happy to help. Also, speech is to be bolded and in your posting color, thoughts should be in italics and in your posting color, and the rest should be in black.
o8. Ideas, If you have an idea for a small plot like a two clan conflict over territory prey, etc. or even a large plot don't be afraid to drop me a PM. I promise I don't bite.
And finally... HAVE FUN! I want this roleplay to be a lot of fun for you members and that it's a place you can enjoy yourself and express your creativity!

SettingNew-leaf has just started and prey is slowly emerging from their dens. The alreayd large fresh kill piles are slowly getting larger and cats' bellies are very full.Some clans even have prey left over. The dawn is just rising on a new day, who knows what will happen today.

Clan CeremonialsLeader: Clan leaders are the heart of the clan; their personality affects how the clan operates and how their warriors treat one another and the world around them. It is up to the clan leaders to set a good example and guide their clanmates along the path of the warrior code. They are responsible for calling clan meetings, appointing warriors, mentors, and apprentices, and deciding the policy and strategy with the help of their deputy and any cats they choose to consult with for help (usually medicine cats, elders, or senior warriors.)
When a cat becomes clan leader, he or she must travel to the Moonstone and share tongues with the warrior ancestors of StarClan. The clan's medicine cat accompanies them on the journey but leaves them alone for the ceremony, in which the leader is granted eight extra lives and a new name with "star" at the end.
This process can be surprising and painful, but it is important for leaders to be able to fight fiercely for their clan and live long enough to pass along their wisdom and prepare a new leader. During the ceremony, each life is given to the new leader by a cat whose life was significant to the new leader in some way.
When a leader loses a life, he or she blacks out for a short period of time, during which that cat visits StarClan and speaks with its warrior ancestors. On returning to consciousness, the leader must still recover from the injury or illness that felled him or her. Medicine cats can usually tell how many lives a leader has left, although the number is kept secret from rival clans.
Deputy Ceremony:
Leader: "I say these words before the body of (old deputy), so that his/her spirit will hear and approve my choice. (new deputy) will be the new deputy of (Clan)
Apprentice Ceremony:
Leader: "By naming apprentices, we show that (Clan) will survive and remain strong. (Kit's name) from now on you will be known as (Apprentice name).... (Warrior's name) you are ready for an apprentice. You shall be (Apprentice's name's) mentor, you have shown yourself to be a warrior of (compliment 1) and (compliment 2). I'm sure you will pass on all you know to your apprentice"
New mentor and apprentice touch noses.
Warrior Ceremony:
Leader: "(mentor's name), are you satisfied that your apprentice is ready to become a warrior?"
Mentor: "Yes, she/he is ready."
Leader: "I, (leader's name), leader of (clan) call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He/she has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I command him/her to you as a warrior in his/her turn. (apprentice's name) do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?"
Apprentice "I do."
Leader: "Than by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name. (apprentice name), from now on you will be known as (full warrior name). (Clan) welcomes you as a full warrior." Leader rest his/her muzzle on the new warrior's head, the warrior licks his/her leader in respect.
New Mentor Ceremony:
Leader: "I call upon my warrior ancestors to give this apprentice a new mentor. (Apprentice's name), you have lost your first mentor, so your new mentor will be [New mentor's name]"
Mentor and apprentice touch noses
Elder Ceremony:
Leader: " (old warrior's name), is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?"
New elder: "It is"
Leader: "Your clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest."
New name: (A new name is given to a warrior/apprentice if something happens to the warrior like Brightpaw went to Scarface, than to Brightheart because of the battle with the dogs. Or if an apprentice is dying and his/her name will be turned into a warrior's name before he/she dies.)
Leader: "I call upon my warrior ancestors to take away the name of this cat. For it now longer stands for who she/he is. (cat's name), from now on, you shall be known as [new name].
Medicine Cat Apprentice:
Medicine Cat: "(Apprentice's name), is it your wish to enter into the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?"
Medicine Cat Apprentice/kit: "It is."
Medicine Cat: "Then come forward"
Apprentice follows order
Medicine Cat: "Warriors of StarClan, I present to you this apprentice. She/he has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant her/him your wisdom and insight so that she/he may understand your ways and heal her/his Clan in accordance with your will. Now lay down next to the pool."
Apprentice his/her nose gently into the Moonpool as StarClan sends the new medicine cat apprentice a sign of approvement.
Medicine Cat:
Medicine Cat: "I, (Med cat's name), medicine cat of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She/he has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help, she/he will serve his/her Clan for many moons. [Apprentice name], do you promise to uphold the way of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"
Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do."
Medicine Cat: "Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true name as a medicine cat. (Apprentice's name), from this moment you shall be known as [New med cat's name]. StarClan honors your knowledge and certainty, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of (Clan)."

The Warrior Code1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day, you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed to only be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8.The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among the Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily.
Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code, or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Medicine Cat HerbsBorage Leaves - used to treat fevers and helps nursing mothers with their milk supply
Burdock root - used to treat infections, especially rat bites
Burdock (plant, not root)- Reduces swelling, good for sore throats.
Catnip(also called catmint) - used to treat whitecough and greencough
Chervile- used to treat bellyache
Chervile Root - used to treat infections
Cobwebs - used to stop bleeding
Coltsfoot- used to treat kittencough
Comfrey - used to treat broken bones
Dock - The leaf can be chewed up and applied to soothe scratches
Dried Oak Leaves - Collected in leaf-fall and stored in a dry place. They stop infections
Feaverfew - used to cool feverish cats and treat head pain
Goldenrod- used in a poultice to treat aching joints and stiffness; can also be used for severe injuries.
Honey - used to treat sore throats
Horsetail - used to treat infected wounds
Juniper Berries - used to treat bellyache
Lavender - A sweet smelling flower that cures fevers
Marigold - used to treat infection and heal wounds and sores
Mouse bile - used to remove ticks from a cat's coat
Poppy seeds- used to numb pain and make a cat very sleepy
Stinging Nettle -The green seeds can be given to cats that have swallowed poison while the leaves bring down swelling
Tansy - used to treat coughs
Thyme - used to calm a cat
Watermint - used to treat bellyache
Wild Garlic - Rolling in this can help prevent infections, especially rat bites.
Yarrow - used to make a cat vomit and expel poisons from the body
Note this!!
Deathberries: Red berries that can be fatally poisonous to kits and elders. They are NOT medicine. Known to twolegs as yew berries. BEWARE!
