Personally, I am embarrassed for the producers. Patrick was a lovable hobo, spongebob was just a guy having fun, Squidward was just spongebob hating, Sandy was actually part of the show....
Now, Patrick and Spongebob are anoying and dorky, Squidward is a straight up a**, and Sandy never shows up. It should have ended with the movie. Remember Danny Phantom? It didn't die, it ended. The movie ended it and that was that. After the movie, Spongebob lost its basis and turned stupid.
