FRIENDLY REMINDERS Hey guys, I noticed some people struggled around the first day. I know Extrasensory RP events can be fast and confusing at first, but please keep these tips in mind at all times! *Everyone should indicate in some VERY OBVIOUS way who their post is directed to such as using size 24 font, quoting a person, etc. It makes it much easier for everyone. I'll know you're not talking to me and whoever you are talking to will know you are talking to him/her! *Always look for metaplot posts! They will usually be posted by FireFoxNinetails, Duelist of Pokemon, or Mythee-dono or Pogeys and we will try to use some fancy post background to make it obvious. *Stick to RPing with one or 2-3 other people. CLING TO THEM FOR DEAR LIFE. So basically every page instead of reading every post, just read the posts of your friend and the important metaplot posts. Maybe another post if someone has your name in it in size 24 font. *If you are using a berry during a swarm, please post it in the correct format (refer to swarm info post on this front page) *I will always update the travel log within 2-ish hours of a metaplot event. Please check there if you want info on what's going on. Perhaps ask in the thread what's going on. OH ALSO PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE METAPLOT FOR THE FIFTH STARTS AT NOON EST. Originally it apparently read midnight EST. I did not mean that I apologize.

RP Rules:

 [Swarm Basics]
What's a roleplay event with some pokemon capture? Well...that is what is going to be explained in this post!
The pokemon are going to appear in swarms! Which means, you guys have to be on alert! Either FireFoxNinetails, Mythee, or Duelist of Pokemon will announce when a swarm is going to attack the caravan with a picture of the pokemon that is currently attacking. (The swarms will have 3-5 of the same pokemon, usually with one rare coloration in the batch)
Each participant is only allowed ONE pokeball for this event. However, if you fail to catch a pokemon, your pokeball will not break after one try. You will beable to re-use it until the end of the event. HOWEVER.....
If you catch a pokemon, that is the only one you may catch during the whole event! (It's to give the others a better chance for a pokemon, so no whining.) I ask though, that you remain with the roleplay until the end, please. Also, there is an exception. One pokemon near the end of the event will be open to everyone regardless of if you have caught a pokemon already or not. So in the best instance you can come out of the event with 2 pokemon.
On to catching the pokemon! This will be done in a free raffle style!
Someone will post the pokemon that is up for grabs along with the colorist who colored the pokemon; that's when those who are interested in capturing the pokemon post this:POKEBALL GO!!THE CAPTURE ATTEMPT WILL NOT COUNT IF THE PICTURE OF THE POKEBALL IS NOT INCLUDED!Afterwards, a winner will be randomized. Whoever gets chosen, gets the pokemon. To those who catch a pokemon: Please remember to send 4k to whoever was listed as the colorist in the swarm post!
[Berries]
So, some of you may have been lucky enough to acquire some berries before this event though the advertising offer or perhaps though a thread event. These berries grant greatly multiply your chance of winning a swarm!
Each berry counts for one extra raffle ticket for the swarm rolling. When you want to use your berry, just add this image onto your pokeball post:

How to Live Through Your First Extrasensory RP Event
To be very honest, this RP event is going to be chaotic. There is NO posting order, so lots of actions will collide and some will be ignored. You'll just have to accept and adapt.
These are tips on how to manage with the crazy speeds the thread progresses through during metaplot times
oNEVER stop typing/focusing if possible. It can and will put you behind/confused.
oDO NOT BACKREAD. It is a waste of time. Maybe make one out of character question asking what's happening and then jump in once you get an answer. Or jump in and act as the confused trainer that just woke up from a nap, you'll piece together events eventually.
oDO NOT EVEN TRY TO ATTEMPT POST ORDER. It will fail you and leave you far behind during metaplot times. EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF. If you really do want to have RPing partners during those times, I suggest you guys have each other on some form of messenger.
oNEVER WASTE A POST WITH ONLY OOC TALK. You will regret it and be bothered while trying to submit your next post D:
oDO NOT MAKE YOUR POST SUPER LONG. Responses should not take you more then about 5 minutes.
oBe prepared for some of your actions to be ignored. Some people don't have time to read every single post, so they might miss yours. Just try to improvise or pretend it didn't happen if possible or nag the person through messenger/OC talk.
oDon't try to talk to everyone. Your character probably can't handle it. I suggest probably sticking to your group or RP friends
oThe storyline update post is the best place to find what's going on. It will be updated constantly throught the event.
oIf you're trying to talk to someone from another group, I suggest you go "HEY *INSERT USERNAME HERE*, LOOK AT THIS POST, I'M ATTEMPTING TO TALK TO YOU 8D " in big/bold OoC font in your post. We're usually only paying attention to our own group colors
Also, please remember that this RP thread is open before and after metaplot hours. We encourage you to RP even if you missed the metaplot for that day because dedicated RPers are rewarded! Grab a friend or a group member if they are on and RP in the general area or go on your own side adventure! Chat with other characters; let your character get some exposure to the world of Zatao.
The groups I have placed you in are meant to accommodate to your timezone so hopefully you will find group members on at the same time as you. And remember you aren't restricted to group members. Other groups are traveling nearby so if you really wanted to you could visit another group for a short while. But really be nice to your group members and perhaps make some new friends!
When you are alone and searching for RP during the event, maybe post in the main thread in size 24 font going "HEY DOES ANYONE WANT TO RP WITH ME IN THE EVENT?" Size 24 font is awesome k?

If you had a really really good reason (idk, you were hospitalized for 3 weeks or something) then maybe ask but I will most definitely not let people enter past day 2 of the event
Q: Where are the pokemon?
A: Pokemon will usually be given out during metaplot times (look at post above) in swarms (look at posts below) or through RP prompts
Q: When will my pokemon be certed?
A: Whenever the colorist gets to it. Usually it shouldn't take longer than a week after the event ends - please remember the colorists are participating in and want to enjoy the event as well!
Q: What are berries and how do you get them?
A: Berries were given out in an advertising event held before the event. You may no longer obtain them. One berry means one extra ticket (for each berry) in a swarm of your choice (Look at swarm post for more info)
Q: What are these groups for?
A: Express groups are kinda our way of forcing you guys to socialize with other trainers. There's tons of trainer characters out there! Don't just hang out with your friends, say hi to new people too! Also it helps keep things semi organized if you only focus on a few people rather than all 50 people who are participating
Q: How were the wagon groups made?
A: If you had your own pokemon, you were autoplaced into the black non-group. Then the other groups were sorted vaguely by timezone.
Q: Can we switch wagon groups?
A: Maybe. PM FireFoxNinetails about why you want to and I will consider it
Q: Can I give away my swarm pokemon?
A: Yes, but there are special conditions. The person you give it to must be in the event and must not have won a pokemon earlier. Also, if you give them a pokemon, both you AND the person you give it too will have your name crossed out on the list meaning both of you cannot catch anymore pokemon throughout the event.
Q: Is there any posting order?
A: Nope! With 50+ people, we'd never finish if we had one D:
Q: I don't want to post in my wagon's posting color because I like to post all my pokemon's actions in another color!
A: TOO BAD, adapt! Deal with it! It's to make it simpler for everyone.
Q: So and so is really bothering me...what should I do?
A: PM FireFoxNinetails about the situation and we'll see what we can do about it.
Q: What time does the official RP start?
A: Look at the first post of this thread. You may also RP anytime before/after the main times for the event. The times listed on the first post are only metaplot times, you are encouraged to RP outside of those times as well
Q: How far am I allowed to go with making up the personality of my rental?
A: You can make it up completely! Gender, history, etc. It's basically your pokemon (temporarily), just remember to mention that you rented it

Current Location of Group: More than halfway to MotterossaSORTED FROM NEWEST -> Oldest plot HI GUYS, TO RECAP THE PLOT ONCE AGAIN *The rockets are hiding in the inn, an electromagnetic shield is covering the inn to keep the trainers out *The trainers are around the inn. The rockets managed to slip in and put the shield up while the trainers were being distracted. The shield is unbreakable. For now. FireFoxNinetails "Everyone, please gather around the woods, I have an announcement to make!" Luna shouted, cranking her megaphone to the max volume while she clung to her pidgeot's leg with her free hand. "I repeat, please meet me around the woods, I have an important announcement to make!" Whoa Apparently something has been up. The electrike swarm seemed to be the main event yesterday, but some other things also came up! *Trainers journeyed into the forests to try to spot an eevee. Unfortunately, some only spotted a tail and others didn't spot anything! A mysterious flying creature was also reported around the area. Caution is advised. *The Eevee have been rare and elusive, what could have scared them off? The electrike? *The injured man found on the second day has disappeared! The nurses reported that he was missing after they came to check on him after a lunch break. The pokecenter, too poor for cameras, have no clue what happened to the man. Perhaps he went off by himself, perhaps he was kidnapped. *There seems to be a large hole in the side of the inn where a window used to be. What could have caused that? Why did no one notice?! *The town actually does seem to be a bit quieter and sparse lately... Metaplot is from 8-11, until then, have fun exploring the city and such!

On Luna's pokegear (considering how busy she is, the gym leader probably won't get to it until the group is ready to head out.) is a little pixel envelope with a number one over it.
Opening her voice mail, after hearing the typical "You have X number of new messages", is the following:
~On the other end is the sound of chatter, normally found in a cafe of sorts as the voice of a Vaporeon and Raichu could be heard playing with each other.~
"Hey Luna, it's Jen as you probably know. Say "hi!", you three!" A small shuffling of the phone and the small concert of "Raichu!", "Vapor!" and a small bark came out of nowhere as the trainer on the other end resumed talking. "Sorry, they're excited about life as it is out here. Anyway, Im calling to check in like you asked me too and let me say something: the news people were not lying about the amount of Eevee running around out here! Its crazy!"
~The voice on the other end paused for a second and the sounds of ice clicking against a glass was heard.~
"Blah, teas' too strong. ANYWHO. I already spoke with the Innkeeper here and he agreed to set aside some rooms for the group when they get here. But he said they might have to cram three or four to a room because of limited space. Also...I looked into something I though you might find really neat! Its-"
~A muffled voice interuppted: "Miss?"~
"Hang on a sec, Luna." A muffled rustling as Jen conversed with whomever it was that had come over to her table. After a few moments, she came back to the message recording. "Sorry, Luna. I gotta cut this short. Apparently Demyx got into some stuff out here and I gotta lend a hand in clean-up. I'll call back after I'm finished or unless you call back first. Ciao!"
~The phone beeped and the voice mail confirmed end of message.
Time of Message: 9:30am~

"Huh, that's odd..." Luna said to herself after closing her voice messages. She checked her miss calls log and noticed that Jen's last call was at 9:30 AM and now it was at least mid evening. Perhaps she had been caught up in something?
"Well, I was going to visit for the Eevee anyways, I can check up on Jen while I'm at it! Let's go ChuChu!"
Luna's Raichu peeked out from a nest of blankets and scrambled onto Luna's shoulder. "Rai?"
"We're going to Motterossa!"

As Luna shut her pokegear, it gave a loud BEEP.
Flipping it open revealed the following text message, also from Jen. From the time, about 9:32am, she had written it as an after-thought like she had forgotten to squeeze it in the long voice mail from before.
To: Luna
~Make sure to give Lamen the info I gave ya on my phone call when you two run into each other. Hate to leave our apprentice in the dark about these expeditions. ;P
Dont hurt her too much too!

Anise trotted through the rain towards the ranch outside of Katarina. The rain wasn't too bad at the moment, so she hadn't done anything special to ward it off aside form tossing on a light jacket. Though she had recalled Felix, her Delcatty, to his pokeball, since he didn't like the rain.
When she reached the ranch, she looked around for the rancher, Bill, and eventually found a building with a sign outside advertising the Pokemon Express. So in she went, and told the ranch hand inside, "Hi, I'm here to for the trip to Motterossa, I signed up earlier. Do I have to sign in or anything?"

 Lumina gingerly shifted her pack to settle more comfortable on her shoulders, her hair barely kept tame with the occasional comb due to the weather. The young watcher caught sight of a few others meandering the ranch already, a smile beaming off her face as the energy of the trip started to catch on.
The edges of her boots had already started to collect mud, but they were durable and she made sure to put on an oil coating once in a while to keep it waterproof. Flouncing forward, Lumina listened in to see what sort of gathering this would be and where her reservation would lead her.

 "Snookie, remember what I told you. You are to stay in this form, okay?" Kayla stood there, in between two large buildings that hid Snookie's form from prying eyes. "I don't want trouble like last time or you will get no trip to candy land, you hear me? "M'kay!" Snookie nodded happily in his disguised form as a shiny Dragonite. Kayla sighed in relief but not all sure that Snookie would stick to his promise as his attention span was short. "Alright, let's go." With that, the two went towards the growing crowd.
