The Central City

User Image

Central is the seat of government in Amestris. The National Central Library, Central Command, and the 5 National Laboratories are all located in Central. Aside from its symbol as a military headquarters, Central is also a bustling metropolis and arguably Amestris' largest city, complete with nearly everything Amestrian society has to offer as well as a lasting and rarely disturbed sense of peace imposed by the proximity of the government's imposing presence. After the events in the eastern regions of Amestris and the Elrics' excursion to the southern region, much of the Fullmetal Alchemist story takes place in Central, as it also serves as the Homunculi's home base, the heart of which is located deep beneath Central Command Headquarters.

Central City becomes the main target of Roy Mustang's coup d'etat to overthrow the corrupt government while King Bradley was supposedly injured in a "train crash" far in the east. Briggs and East City forces manage to take over the streets with the minor help from ex-soldiers and Ishvalans alike. However, it's General Olivier Armstrong and Buccaneer who lead their respective divisions in taking over Central Command successfully until Bradley makes his unexpected return - greatly complicating the struggle for Central City and indeed the country itself.

Lost walked into central, swinging her butchers knife back and forth like a child and a toy "There has to be something out here that doesn't bore me to death"

Suki looking from side to side simply walked past the borderline, crossing from Central City into the next region. Smiling lightly he took in the fresh scent of wilderness. User Image”Hmm....alright then…” He said as he continued to walk forward..

Lost stopped in her tracks when she saw Suki's outline walk out of the city "Why does he have to be everywhere I almost go" she agitatedly mumbled. She stood and waited for him to fully disappear before continuing to walk "I hear it's nice up east, might as well check out any philosopher's stones up there or..." she looked back to Suki, she still didn't know if he knew anything about the stones. Lost closed her eyes and when they opened again they looked bright and full of life, she cleaned off the blood from her bangles and placed the butcher's knife in a whole under one of the buildings which she had dug earlier then ran after Suki, no longer Lost but Fate

Lost returned to Central in a slow walk. Though she would never admit it to herself she was hoping that she would run into Suki. She knelled down next to a building and dug up her knife and held it out in the moonlight "Beautiful, just beautiful" she said happily. She laid it down in her lap and looked up at the sky, she would take her time. Secretly hoping that she might run into Suki, for some strange reason the alchemist captivated her, even if he tried to kill her multiple times-but maybe that was why he captivated her so much

Suki, feeling his nerves snap back into place instantly, could sense cold front coming in from the east. His automail wasn’t creaking like it used to, save the new model he had paid for, but still it made him miss the old one which had been carved into. Cursing lightly of what his engineer would say if he did the same thing again, he pulled out his blade and then etched in the symbol for his ice alchemy, careful to write each of the runes correctly. Face built in concentration as he stood there then sheathing his blade, he failed to notice Lost just sitting there, staring at the sky.User Image “There we go.” He said as he then held his arm up, flexing his muscles. He would have to test out his new arm later, which would probably take a while. He then continued walking, but then stopped when he saw the Homunculus, Lost. “Fancy meeting you here.” Suki said swiftly, still remembering the Rush Valley incident. He felt a bit of pain rush throughout his body, which he quickly blew away as an automail affect, but still waited for her to talk.

Lost looked away from the moon and cocked her head at Suki, wondering what she did to deserve having something listen to her thoughts and make them come true "I should say the same for you, thought the mighty ice alchemist would be too busy to notice a little girl out on the streets" she said with a grin. Lost still stayed sitting down. There was little he could do to kill her anyways. "So what are you doing out here in the cold? I thought humans were...sensitive to the world around them"

Suki took a seat not to far from the girl, but not to close either. He was still going to be cautious, though he could possible relax for the moment. “Sensitive?” He asked slowly, a smile appearing on his already pale face. “I was born in the cold, and I’ll die in the cold.” Suki said simply, as if that ended the entire matter. He blinked through the snow and then allowed himself to laugh lightly, causing his automail to groan with appreciation.User Image Suki then stood up slowly, taking a few steps forward towards Lost. “As for the world around me, at the moment all I see is you.” He said matter-o-factly, as he then sat down near her, tilting his head towards the side in a type of mock surprise. “Anything wrong with that?” He asked, his light smile still etched upon his face. Closing his eyes slowly he gazed upwards, feeling small drops of snow trickle down his neck.

Lost blushed lightly but tried her best to hide it "Um...I guess there's nothing wrong with that...I think" she mumbled. Lost's grip on her knife tensed then loosened back up and she looked down at the ground "That seems a little gushy don't you think?" she had no idea what to say so she said the first thing that came to her mind. It sounded like something she would say anyways

Suki still looked up towards the sky, wondering why he had just said what he had said. Perhaps it was a plot to get the Philosophers stone by getting inside the ranks, or perhaps he was actually trying to hit on her. Sighing slowly he heard her speak and then replied, using a question of his own. “Doesn’t really matter if it’s gushy as long as it’s true I suppose?” His smile slowly fading he then closed his eyes, rubbing his temples with both of his index fingers. User Image “I just don’t like it at all, Homunculus and the Military and everything…” Suki whispered slowly, as if finally revealing something that he never had before. “I never wanted to join, but I’m too deep in, if I quit then I’ll have to take “him” out too…” He whispered, his arms shaking slightly. His voice sounded controlled, yet behind all of it, he was trembling. He was seventeen and already he had to be one to cause bloodshed and such. He hadn’t even tried to do anything when he was younger, yet they recruited him anyway. He had no choice, and if he left they would possibly kill him. Gritting his teeth he closed his eyes and then exhaled. “Anyway, I’ve got to go talk to the Furhrer, I’ll see you around?” Suki asked slowly as he stood up. Holding his hand out for her, he then waited to see if she would actually take it.

Lost hesitated for a moment then took his hand and smiled "I know exactly how you feel. Like I was trying to say back at Rush Vally, I never asked to be a homunculus. And because I can't use alchemy to defend myself my best chances of survival are with the other homunculus. After all that's all life is; survival" Lost said grimly, still looking down. She let go of Suki's hand and looked back up with a grin "I may not know how to use alchemy but I sure do know how to use a knife, call me any time you need help" Lost slung the knife over her shoulder and blinked, when her eyes opened again the ouroboros was once again taking the place of her pupils "And if you fail I make a great undo button" she closed her eyes and laughed "I better let you go, bye Suki" she said happily before walking back to the Devil's Nest

Suki bit his bottom lip, but didn’t see any other choice about what to do. He listened to her talk, and instead of seeing a monster within human’s skin, he saw an actual person talking to him. He blinked, as if seeing another side of the girl that he hadn’t seen before or ever in his life. When she showed him the ouroboros tattoo within her eye he started, but quickly got over it.User Image Smirking when she talked about an undo button he began to realize what her power actually could be. When she laughed he got the feeling that he should also laugh, but actually didn’t in the end. As she walked away he then began to conflict with himself, deciding what he should do in the situation he was in. He walked back after her and then tapped her arm, turning her around so that he could see her. He was taller than her by at least a few inches, but that didn’t matter. Nothing mattered at the moment. He tilted her head up and then kissed her, afterwards turning himself and then beginning to walk away, heading towards Central City. He didn't wait up for her, and hoped that she had actually continued to walk. “Cya...” He said coolly.
