Guitar Hero 6 is going to be coming out this September. However, the title of the game will be called as Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. To see more information about it, go and see the overview of GH games from the official Guitar Hero website (but there is not much information about the game on the overview besides the release date and to see what songs there will be in the game and details about the game, check this thread from the Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock subforum. I also heard that GH6 (Warriors of Rock) will be the last GH game that Neversoft will make.

im depressed with neversoft then, discontinuing one of the greatest games ever is dumb.

NejiHyuga900 O darn im depressed with neversoft then, discontinuing one of the greatest games ever is dumb. now we'll have to play more... rockband D: However, Neversoft is letting Vicarious Visions, the developers of the Guitar Hero: On Tour game series, to continue the Guitar Hero franchise. yay!, i dont have to get lame rockband games, like country trackpack or greenday rockband biggrin

The series is getting pretty old. They should havestopped at Guitar Hero 3. And i still enjoy playing the drums for Rock Band 2, although i rarely play it since i can't beat "Everlong" on Expert Drums. ******** that song.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is to be the last GH game with Neversoft & RedOctane, Activision now own both. Additionally, it only has original characters, no one based off celebrities anymore due to previous law suits from GH5.
The game came out Sept 28, Tuesday.
From what I have experienced so far....the game is addicting and a great addition to the series. However, I hope it to be the last game so they don't ruin the series. I don't think any new GH games could best GH:WOR.
