I would like recommendations for books, please. I have been wanting to get a new book on paganism, wicca, ect., but I have a ahrd time choosing. I already have the
Spiral Dance, Teen Witch,
(something something) Wicca by DJ Con(a)way [can't remember the first part of the name],
Witchcraft Theory and Practice,
The Spells Bible (which I actually like quite a bit),
and the 2009 (Spell?) Almanac from Llewellyn.

I thank whomever will post their recommendations in advance =).

PS:
I know that there is a recommendation area in the Library, but I would like to know people's opinions on their recommendations as well.

If you haven't read "Drawing Down the Moon" by Adler, that's a classic, even though it is a bit dated. If you're looking for something with practical exercises, you could try Penczak's "Temple of Witchcraft" series. If you want something more explicitly nature-centered, you could try Starhawk's "Earth Path."

Paganism: An Introduction to Earth- Centered Religions by River Higginbotham and Joyce Higginbotham
(that is a great book has some good exercises in it and is helpful for those wanting to know more about paganism)

Encyclopedia of 5,000 Spells by Judika Illes
(I have not read this book myself but I have heard good things about it)

The Circle Within by Dianne Sylvan
(I have found that this book has a lot of good ideas for not just celebrating your faith on the pagan holidays and full moons/new moons but everyday)

I usually recommend the following...

WICCA

* Books by Gerald Gardner...
Witchcraft Today by Gerald Gardner
The Meaning of Witchcraft by Gerald Gardner

* Books by Doreen Valiente
* Books by Vivianne Crowley
* Circle of Fire - Sorita D'Este & David Rankine
* Fifty Years Of Wicca - Frederic Lamond
* A Witches' Bible – Janet and Stewart Farrar
* Lid off the Cauldron - Patricia Crowther
* A Grimoire of Shadows - Ed Fitch

GOD AND GODDESS

* The Witches God and The Witches Goddess – Janet and Stewart Farrar

SABBATS

* Ancient Ways: Reclaiming Pagan Traditions - Pauline Campanelli

GENERAL REFERENCE

* Elements of Ritual – Deborah Lipp

HISTORICAL REFERENCE

* The Triumph of the Moon - Ronald Hutton
* Drawing Down the Moon - Margot Adler
* Wiccan Roots - Philip Heselton
* Her Hidden Children - Chas Clifton

_____________

In particular I like Circle of Fire (D'Este & Rankine) and The Elements of Ritual (Lipp). Circle of Fire is fairly short and to the point, but is very good for basic information. Elements of Ritual, is one I think everyone should own - if they are wanting to know the how's and why's of ritual.
