The man swept up in life,
doomed to be pulled by the man's strings.
Even through the
tears

Will this fall from
grace kill him?
Or will a hit of his past
save him from making a mistake?

Falling to the ground hard
Without a second thought
I just keep falling for you

Not sleeping a wink Ivén sit with his eyes glued to the computer screen. His fingers typing at what he considered to be the speed of light while he watched the character he played move across the screen, slashing at every opponent that came his way. Sure this was how he spent his days, he had little else to do. Seeing as he was one of the most unpopular guys. Not because he was ugly, stupid, or anything normal that people had a tendency to ridicule. No, it was because he was clumsy. He couldn’t stand in one place without falling over once to save his life. Because of this people tended to avoid him – saying that it might rub off onto them if they were around him for long periods of time… making every simple task like talking to project partners or even talking to a guy or girl nearly impossible… for the moment they saw he was trying to ask them out or even just harmless flirting they would pass him off. This made Ivén rather withdrawn from the world. The one thing he never wanted to be. But the quieter he was the more people didn’t pay attention, which meant the moment he actually did talk had the possibility of catching them by surprise, which in turn meant a higher chance of getting close to that person. Something he was counting on working one of these days.

The scream of his character as it was finally killed after his five hour long rampage. With a defeated sigh he closed the laptop and pushed it away from him on the bed. His dark blue eyes gazed around the room – looking at the simply yet messy room he resided in, books littered the room along with cd cases from games that were now stacked on his desk awaiting for him to return to them to coddle them with affection as he played them once again. His back landed on the bed with a dull thud, head pressed hard against his pillow while he stared up at the roof. His family was a quiet one… not because they didn’t communicate but because half of his family was never home. His father went off often on business trips leaving the brothers and mother alone and their mother was in her own little world most of the time. She enjoyed traveling and when the urge came over her she left often without so much as a word. But the boys had grown accustom to this. They learned to live without either parent… or one another. For the brothers coped with this loss in much different ways… ways the other couldn’t understand. Ivén learned to care for himself like an adult. He didn’t complain as much, got a job (one where he sat more than stood just in case he had to talk to someone… he didn’t like his lack of balance to be well known by society). And Jared decided that he would lash out and do as he pleased no matter who it hurt as long as he was happy at the end of the day.

Something Ivén tried his hardest to ignore. Closing his eyes he let out a sigh, trying to fall asleep at last. His breathing softened and he felt his body getting heavy. With one last yawn he was about to fall asleep when. ”BEEP BEEP BEEP.” Screeched from his alarm clock making him jump from his skin, his arm swinging onto the top of the clock making it click loudly – his heart now racing as he sat up, a look of shock and frustration etched into his messy brown hair hidden face. The day would be longer than he hoped… and by the looks of it he wasn’t going to be able to sleep till much later that day. With a regretful grunt he rose to his feet. Going with utter distain to the dresser where he pulled out clean boxers, jeans, and a t-shirt. Before turning heel and walking towards his bathroom where he would try to wake up a bit more in the warmth of the falling water.

The shower helped little with his lack of sleep, climbing out with his towel secure around his waist he began dressing, pulling the dark blue long sleeve over his head, adjusting it across his damp torso so that the picture wasn’t to distorted. Then the black boxers and black jeans before walking back into his room to grab his socks and vans tennis shoes. He took little time to change and even less to try and wake his brother up. He didn’t care what his brother did as long as he didn’t draw attention to himself while Ivén was around. Walking out of the safety of his room he took two steps over and began knocking on the now black door in the otherwise white hallway. ”Wake up Jared. You can’t stay in there all morning… we have class today and you have to go and look for a job afterwards. Old man’s orders.” The last part always drove both Jared and Ivén mad. Because their father who was never around still felt he had control of his now independent sons… but that was something that man would never understand. A string of profanities muffled through the door at Ivén as he walked down the hall towards the kitchen to make food for the morning and for lunch.

It doesn't matter that you don't love me
It doesn't matter that you don't care
All that matters is that I can have you now
