I saw a political cartoon today that made me think; Are there a lot of truthers that identify with the Tea Party movement? I've noticed that the public perception of the Tea Party is similar to the public perception of the truth movement, in a sense. Both think that the government has too much power and want to fix it. Some might even say that the Tea Party has a fringe segment of anti-government people.

What do you guys think about this general topic? Are the two movements related? Is the Tea Party some kind of false opposition in order to give those that are fed up with the government's ways a relatively harmless outlet? Any opinions are welcome.

Tea Party is like a sick combo of libertarian and republican ideology, taking the worst parts of both. It's objective is to enhance corporate powers, provide room for monopoly, abolish several departments of the government, and continue blowing tax dollars on restricting civil rights of Americans for their 'protection' from 'Al Queda'.

It's a ploy, like Greenpeace - you send them money, and after the 80% cut goes to some guy on a leer Jet, the rest goes to telemarketers begging for money from rich college kids and encouraging them to go get shot at by Asian naval forces. But if you tried to encourage people to plant just one tree without all the red tape you'd discover just how useless that organization really is.

The tea partiers seem like republicans angry that Obama won presidency, and are being sore losers (even though we ALL lose). Thats the apperance that they give off, anyways.

I'm all for them. I think people are scared that these movements are getting too much power, that's why they're all of a sudden "racist."

@Michael Noire: What exactly is your opposition to the libertarian party? I consider myself a libertarian. Granted, I'm still new to the Redpill ideology.
