Lastel I used to play wow... till my ex started stalking me on it. I tried playing again but just couldn't get back into it.
I think MMOs are much better when you have someone to play with. I know that I just won't play an MMO unless there is at least one person that I can party with from time to time - or at least talk to!

I agree. MMOs are just mindless grinding if you have no one to talk to or party with. My problem was tho my ex was the one who got me to play wow then we broke up on pretty bad terms. Since he was the one who got me to play all are friends and guild mates where his friends too. So after words i got kicked out of the guild because of him and all the people i was "friends" rolleyes with stopped talking to me... so it just kinda ruined everything for me.

Oh, man. That does rather suck, doesn't it? >=Y And it's a bit childish on the ex's side. You should have just joined a play4fun guild until you got your footing in the game again! XD

You're right to not to chatter in the Main forum, I use that extremely special announcements only.
I tried the 10 day free trial for WoW, just to see what it was like.
I just couldn't get pulled into the world, XI opens up explaining the City you start in, and immediately gets you interacting with an NPC so you understand how things work in the world.
That was great, and realistic as a new adventurer, you'd need some sort of guidance.
In WoW it just plops in the middle of nowhere and they say here's the controls, have fun. And I can't stand the look of WoW, it also doesn't help itself being the graphics engine is ten years old with no updating.

Ahh yes, I definitely agree with Xikar on this. WoW always bugged me since it came out.

I played WoW for over 2 years... and just officially quit forever, again >.>, like a couple weeks ago. It was amazingly fun when the guild I was in was thriving and I had scores of friends on there. As time went on though, some friends transferred to different servers, others quit, and the guild died... And then WoW began to suck hardcore for me. The game itself is WAY too easy now, and they're just making it easier as they go, so you get a lot of terrible players which doesn't help the game at all either. I'm trying to play FFXI again though :3

Also i decided im going to make one char for my friends in real life and another just for my virtual friends. So if something like this happens again it wont be a problem. 3nodding

I've never tried WoW. I've just watched a couple youtube videos of WoW. One of them was that funeral they were having in game and that guild came in and PKed everyone lol...
I played Aion in the Chinese Beta with the English Patch. Got to try out my wings but that was it. The time ran out on my character and the beta was over. I was going to buy Aion but that never worked out, so I have been waiting for FFXIV since last year >.<;
