Kaizen walked through the opening in the side of the arena, clenching and un-clenching his fist as he made his way slowly to the center of the arena. His head was hanging low, doing his best to avoid meeting the gaze of the crowd, certain that his already squirming stomach wouldn't be able to take it. His white hair fell about his face, serving to further block his vision of the crowd. Around his waist he wore what appeared to be a black sash-like belt that billowed out behind him as he walked. Upon further inspection one would notice a silver plate in the center of the sash, the symbol of Kirigakure emblazoned proudly into it. Two sheaths had been thrust through the sash, one on either hip, though the one on the right looked to be a bit shorter than the other one.
Finally reaching the center of the Arena, Kai took a deep breath before lifting his head to meet the gaze of the crowd. As his stark white eyes met the crowd, they immediately widened in shock. Th... there are so many, Kai thought to himself as he looked up and down the stands, every seat was filled, this tournament had brought spectators from all over the five great nations. Kai's breathing quickened pace, as nerves and panic began to overwhelm him. I can't do this, not in front of so many people, this is too much!, Kai thought to himself as his white eyes began darting back and forth looking for an exit. No! You are a shinobi of the Mist! You are the Lotus that blooms even in darkness! You will stand, and you will fight!, Kai stopped as the thoughts echoed in his voice, thoughts that sounded in a voice not his own. Blinking fiercely for a moment, Kai then smiled and let himself relax, resting his hands on the hilts of his blades. Closing his eyes, Kai lowered his head as he whispered to himself, "thank you Father, I will not let you down.""I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

 Zane Hajime-Nara ||Genin||Swordsman||Nara||Manipulator of Flames|| xxxxxxZane could hear the roar of the crowd a mile away as he made his way towards the arena. He was donning the standard Akatsuki ware...a straw hat that shielded him from the burning sun above, a long and flowing black cloack with red clouds to hide his arms and weapons, and a ring with the symbol for 'Zero'. Him and his fellow Akatuski members were all invited to participate in this tournament...and he saw this as an oppurtinity to show the world the power of Akatsuki. It was time to let them all know that he himself would create a new world order, under his power he would control the shinobi world. Stepping inside the arena, he walked alongside the river bed, his eyes traveling left and right as they analyzed the entire arena. A forest area...a perfect place to hide and set up traps. There must also be a sort of fire pit somewhere...from the looks of the smoke in the distance. His flames should be stronger there. Now it all depended on his opponent. Depending on the type of person he was, he would act accordingly.
Seeing his opponent, Zane stopped at a good and safe distance. He did not remove his hat or robes. He didn't want his opponent to see neither his face nor his body...not yet anyways. His eyes would give him away to what he was looking at, which was his shadow. The robe hid the fact that he had four shurikens between his fingers of his right hand. The sun was high above them, it would be a couple of minutes before he would be able to use his shadows to their maximum. "It would seem that you are my opponent for this match...your move..." he stated simply, not bothering with small talk as he turned his attention back to his opponent.

Kai watched as his opponent entered the arena, a feeling of dread welling up inside him, though he couldn't understand why. Something seemed off about this one, but Kaizen just couldn't put his finger on what it could be. At his opponent's words, Kai simply said, "if you insist." In a rush of movement Kai then began performing hand-seals, his stark white eyes turning a deep sapphire blue as he cried out, "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!" Water quickly began to coagulate on either side of Kaizen, pooling together as they formed to spheres of water, which then quickly began taking humanoid form. Within moments the water had formed into two perfect clones of Kai, each wearing the same determined glare as the real Kai.
With a silent signal the clones then began moving, one running straight forward, drawing it's blades as it prepared to engage the cloaked opponent. Meanwhile the second clone began moving around to the right, hands flashing quickly through hand-seals as it prepared to use a jutsu of it's own. The real Kai then crossed his arms across his chest, his now sapphire blue eyes locked on his opponent to see how he would counter Kaizens's assault."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" (starting chakra points: 39 Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Clone Technique) X 2= -2 chakra points (1/2 chakra cost for elemental jutsus) current chakra points: 37)

Zane Hajime-Nara ||Genin||Swordsman||Nara||Manipulator of Flames|| xxxxxxZane grinned as his arms erupted from his robes, his robe flew wildly behind him as he threw the shurikens in hand straight at Kaizen's clone who was heading straight for him. In the same fluid motion, Zane clasped his hands together and formed a similar set of seals that Kai performed. In an explosion of smoke, two perfect ember clones stood beside him, one rushed forward to attack the real Kaizen while the other rushed at the other water clone. Zane watched with piercing eyes to see just how his opponent would fare with his counter attack. His shurikens would take care of one clone, one of his clones would take on the second one, and the other one...well, Zane hoped he would get explosive results.

Kaizen raised an eyebrow as the clone rushed him, flashing quickly through some more hand-seals, Kai cried out, "Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu!" Several spheres of water began to coagulate in front of Kai, seven to be exact, all of them spinning at an incredible rate as they took the form of five-pronged shuriken. Within the span of a few seconds the shuriken had been formed, and with a thought Kai sent them flying forward, three of them barreling into the clone, while the other four sailed past the clone and toward its creator. Kai then began running to his left, opposite the side that his remaining clone had been moving, his hands quickly flashing through yet another set of hand-seals.
Meanwhile the remaining clone had completed its hand-seals just as the first clone was being destroyed, "Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu!" The clone cried out, its own set of seven water shurikens forming in front of it. With a thought the clone then sent the shuriken sailing forward, three of them towards the rushing clone and the other four moving towards the creator. The clone then disperesed into a puddle of water, having used the chakra reserves that had been used to create it. Kai's opponent now had eight shuriken sailing towards him, four from the front and four from his left, the question was would he move the way that Kai was hoping or would he be forced to adjust his plans?"I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" (starting chakra points: 37 Mizu Shuriken no jutsu (Water Shuriken jutsu) X 2= -2 chakra points (1/2 chakra cost for elemental jutsus[gobi], -1 chakra point cost for genin level jutsu[chakra control]) current chakra points: 35)

Zane Hajime-Nara ||Genin||Swordsman||Nara||Manipulator of Flames|| xxxxxxZane, being a tactical ninja and having a great strategic mind, already formed a series of seals and dissapeared in a poof of smoke. As the smoke dispersed, Zane was still standing at the same spot. The clone that was rushing towards the other clone quickly took its stance and placed his right hand on the hilt of his sword. Taking a single step forward, Zane unsheathed his sword with such speeds that even Kai would have trouble seeing, his sword breaking through the Mizu Shurikens.
Meanwhile, the Zane that was standing where the smoke exploded did nothing. He mearly let himself get hit by the shurikens. As the shurikens struck him, Zane exploded in a flurry of fire as smoke shrouded the area. That Zane was his explosion clone, he had substituted himself with his clone in order to avoid the two pronged attack. Taking down an attack from one side is simple, but two, those were a challenge. With both clones exploded from the attack, Zane took a defensive stance against Kai, the sun was almost in position.

Kai had to stop short as Zane seemingly exploded, but looking past the cloud of dust Kai found his true opponent once more. Kai ceased his hand-seals before completing the jutsu as he turned to face his opponent once more. Kai saw his opponents blade at his side, small beads of water dripping off the tip of the blade. Did he destroy the shuriken with his blade? How fast can he draw that damn thing?, Kai thought to himself as his eyes narrowed, the deep sapphire blue color seeping back to the center of his eyes until it had all disappeared, leaving Kai with stark white eyes once more. Kai wasted no time as he pulled a couple smoke bombs from his holster on his left thigh. Throwing the smoke bombs forward Kai then rushed forward his hands moving quickly through hand-seals as his eyes turned that same sapphire blue as before. "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu!" Kai cried out as he entered the smoke, forming two water clones that immediately fell in behind Kai. The real Kai then stopped as his clones continued forward, drawing their blades from their sheaths. Looking to his right, Kai saw the puddle that had been the clone that Zane had destroyed with his shuriken. Walking over to the puddle, Kai flashed through several hand-seals before whispering, "Mizutamari no Jutsu."Kai sunk into the puddle just as his two clones were rushing out of the smoke, their blades held at the ready as they moved to either side of Zane. The clone moving to the right would attempt to jump over Zane's head and slash him from above, while the clone moving to the left would slash with both blades at Zane's chest."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me"

Zane Hajime-Nara ||Genin||Swordsman||Nara||Manipulator of Flames|| xxxxxxZane sheathed his blade as Kai threw the smoke bombs down. Suddenly, two Kai's rushed over at him at full speed. He had no idea where the real Kai had gone to, but he needed to focus on the two water clones. "Hiten Mitsurugi Style..." Zane muttered as he unsheathed his sword in the same manner he did before, performing the attack in order for his sword to clash with the first clone. As their swords clang rang through the field, Zane brought his left hand forward, the hand that was on his sheath. Zane brought his sheath outwards as the sheath slammed itself against both of Kai's blades that were coming at his chest. "Double Battoujutsu..." he muttered as he spun his body and slashed his sword behind him, hopefully to stab one of the clones in the chest. Afterwards, Zane took the blade out and spun his body in a 360 degrees manner to slash at the other clone just as it landed on the ground.

((...Zane, how do you know they're both clones? For all you know, one of them is Zane. Just saying this based on the sentence where you basically said you needed to focus on the clones and didn't know where the real one was.))
