Hey guys! I thought it would be cool to see and give critiques on peoples dream avis, so... Post your dream avi, or if you have more than one then post your current dream avi! 3nodding
Here is mine:
Total Value: 2,621,387 Gold
ETA: I think my avi is okay, but the area around my little Lucky Cat seems a bit bare.
Any suggestions?

I don't have one. I think I made one dream avi way back in maybe 2005, but I never had the motivation to actually save up gold the buy the items. I like buying different items better, and then seeing what I can make with them. With dream avis, I just make the avatar, and once I've raised enough money, it's like.. that's it.
But yours is really cute! (:

I'm like chicksineggz. I don't make dream avatars. I buy items without a specific planned tektek outfit. No specific plan, but I know what items I already own. So I buy new items that work with my old items. :3 (Or, I buy something I like, then buy items to use with it if I don't have any.)
I can't stick to wearing one outfit for a long time. So it's not worth it for me to quest dream avatars. I'd be making a new dream two days later.
I also make gold slowly and can't handle large quests. I go crazy when I do any sort of large questing. Like, constantly think about Gaia when I'm offline, crazy. So I've banned myself from doing any sort of large quest.
I sort of made a dream avatar a few months ago. O: I did a bad thing- I played on tektek for myself. I'll never quest this exact tektek, but I have quested and bought some items just because of it. > <
(I said I tekteked for me, but this avatar would be too serious to use 24/7. :B )

Interesting, so perhaps having a dream avi isn't as popular anymore?
Well, I never made a "proper" dream avi (as in all items included, no matter how expensive) before for the very same reasons. I just didn't think I could ever make that kind of money.
Now I'm not so hooked on Gaia, like I was when I first joined, I don't mind chasing these items, even though I know it'll take me a very long time. 3nodding

I used to have a dream avatar that was a cluttering of items I'd like to get. xD
Not matching, not good looking, just items I liked. I got some of them and moved on. Didn't make a dream avatar since.

Ooop. I have to say I've never really had one, either. I change every couple of weeks and I like to labor over a tek-tek for a long time before I make a new one. I usually incorporate items that I already own but I usually end up buying new ones as well. I don't really think you could call them dream avatars, though because I usually buy the items I need straight away. >.<

I think dream avatars never go out of style. :} They've always remained popular... with most people.
I think it just depends on where you are. You'll find a good mix of people in this guild. Some use tektek to pre-plan outfits and some don't. It just depends on how people prefer to think up their new outfits. ^^ For some styles, it's easier to plan it out with Gaia's real layering than to try to guess on tektek.
I think that's a good way to go about it. If you can focus on questing some items that you really want, you might as well. ^^
As to your edit, you want to fill in the bottom more? Um, how about a yellow picnic blanket?
@Trischalli; That first one's a cute outfit. ^^ And the second is sure to be a good zOMG-playing outfit. XD

As for me, I guess some people just never made dream avi's. I'm one of them. I use what I have and make it work. I quest things I like or things I think will be wearable and useful. Though I do have an avi stored in my closet thinger that screams for the addition of a Paradise Lost (which I don't own). I just keep saving it for the day I eventually do. smile
