Joseph D'Aria

An alarm clock broke the silence in the large room that eighteen year old Joseph D'Aria called his own. A hand appeared from under the covers a few minutes later and smacked around on the table until it found that lovely snooze button. Once the room was back to its original quiet state, a head covered in crazy dark hair poked out from under the burgundy colored blankets. Joseph glared at the clock, trying to read the time through sleepy eyes. He was by no means a morning person so getting up for school five days a week was a hassle for him. Thank god there were only two weeks left... When he figured out what the numbers said, his head flopped back onto the pillow with a groan.

Joey climbed out of bed and stretched his tanned arms over his head before standing up and heading to the bathroom. He slid open the door to his decent size bathroom and turned on the water to the shower, letting it warm up slightly as he stripped off what little clothes he was wearing. He liked simplicity and often slept in nothing but boxers. Or sometimes when he felt daring he slept naked and always enjoyed the feel of the sheets against his bare skin. Joey liked simple things but this teen was anything but simple. He climbed in, shut the frosted glass door and proceeded to start his daily routine. Shampoo, soap, scrub, brush teeth, done. Repeat daily.

Once he was done in there, he wrapped a giant towel around his waist and went back to his room to pick his attire for the day. Joey didn't really have a set style. He just wore whatever was comfortable and affordable. He got some money from playing in bars and things like that and was able to afford a nice apartment. He didn't want to be a burden to his mom who he believed to be slowly losing her mind, since she couldn't remember her on son and he had to reintroduce himself every morning. It was becoming a touchy topic for the boy and he changed it whenever it came up.

The weather outside was nice and warm so he decided on a gray shirt with black jeans and his black and white checkered belt. He pulled the clothes on and slipped into his black Converse and the boy was basically ready to go. He ruffled his hair with his hand as he leaned down to scoop up his bag and headed down the short hallway. No breakfast was waiting on the table and no one was waiting to bid him a good day as he left. He shrugged and grabbed his car keys from the hook on the wall and went out to see his "baby", a dodger blue '67 Mustang parked just outside. It was the first car he'd ever had, given to him or bought and it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He climbed inside the car and started it, the engine barely making a sound. He backed out the spot and was off in a matter of seconds.

The school came into view quickly. Unfortunately, he lived fairly close to the school and it was upsetting that he couldn't drive his car a bit longer. He pulled into a spot across the parking form the school and sat there in the leather seats for a minute. He pulled out his cell, deciding to see if anyone was here before he bothered going out into the happy sunshine.

To: Arianna, (Mister Party Boy), (Mister Jokester), Katelyn, Madeline, (Miss Musicals), (Mister Smart a**), (Miss Gamer Geek), (Miss Punk), Erik, Sophia
From: Joey
Hey, anyone here?
Just pulled in to the parking lot.
Don't wanna get out yet, haha

He closed his phone and climbed out of the car, making sure
to lock it. He would die if anyone found the balls to steal it. He could see students already milling around inside the building so he knew he wasn't that early. He opened the large, heavy door to the school and stepped in, instantly deafened by the roar of chatter. He made his way through the crowd to his locker, stopping every now and then to talk with some people who stopped to chat. Now that his business at his locker was done, he just had to wait for some of his friends to text him back.

сhαɾløττε ☀ ƒølќïεṉ
Charlotte, or Charlie as she usually preferred to be called, sat at her vanity idly running her blush brush over her cheeks. Today was her third real day at Franklin High and she hadn't quite gotten the hang of everything. She still didn't know where everything was and she hadn't gotten her books. She knew she wouldn't because she had transferred in so late so she was stuck looking over guys shoulders while they looked down her shirt. Ugh. Thankfully, she had one ray of sunshine to brighten her day. She had met a boy with the hottest accent on Saturday while ordering a coffee and through some chitchat found that he went to the same school she was going to. She had met some other friendly people the two days she attended but since she hadn't had her cell with her, she had collected all their numbers on tiny pieces of papers. Maybe she'd be able to add them in during class.

The tiny clock on the glass table read 7:30 and Charlie sighed as she looked herself over in the mirror. She looked decent enough with her long, pale blonde hair falling in loose waves and her gray eyes. She had a nice body that wasn't too tall or too short and she was just about the right weight. Charlie grabbed her messenger bag from the floor next to her and her brand new cell phone that her parents had sent her. They were still dealing with things back home so for now she was living by herself in an apartment her parents were paying the rent and bills for it. They wouldn't even know what it looked like until the end of the summer. Until then, she just had to suck it up and start a new life. Yup, that's what she kept telling herself. She pushed away from the vanity and left the sparsely decorated room.

There were boxes everywhere that she still had to unpack and she was lucky to have found her clothes and the dishes. She had no idea where anything else was in the sea of cardboard. Maybe she would invite that cutie Loring over to help. What could be better then two new students finding love? But that was just her hopeless romantic side talking. It would probably never work out that way. She didn't even know if he had someone already. He probably had girls crawling all over him with that accent. She just had to hope that he would pick her out of the crowd and sweep her off her feet. Oops, overactive imagination running away with itself again.

The apartment was relatively close to the school so she planned on waiting and in less than five minutes was staring up at the large mahogany doors. This was going to be the longest day of her life. She pulled open the doors and was quickly swallowed up by a crowd of students. They were going one way and she had to go in another. Like a herd of buffalo, really! she thought as she freed herself from them. That was how it always worked out, wasn't it? "Now where did I put that schedule?" she asked herself once she was free of the crowd. She searched through her bag for the small piece of paper that had her classes on it. She recently had to talk to her counselor to get in the right classes; choir, honors English and Chemistry. It was a bit pointless going to school at all seeing as how there were only two weeks left but she was determined to fit in and make a new life for herself. Hopefully, she could leave her...demons in the past.

It was Thursday, a beautifully warm yet cloudy night. Gentle breezes carried the scent of blood to the girl's sensitive nose but she ignored them as she continued her pacing. She had wasted ten minutes in doing this and she was just procrastinating meeting her lover. Any other time, she would fly into her arms, ready for a night of passion with the animalistic woman not wanting the night to be ruined by the rising of the sun. But tonight, tonight was different. She was tensed by the decision of her coven. They had heard of her traitorous love affair with 'a dirty disgusting beast were the guise of humanity'. But Isobella had found comfort in her where she had none in her coven. But her own coven had decided to send her to live with another coven, one that had sworn to keep her under closer supervision. Tonight might be very well be the last time she could ever see Wilisa.

By any normal person's standards, Isobella was a normal, beautiful girl. She was petite in stature with long flowing locks of rich, auburn hair and the most piercing blue eyes you had ever seen all coupled with creamy, pale skin. She looked just like anyone else but she was different from any normal person she had ever met in her long life. She was a creature of the night, cursed long ago to feed upon the blood of unsuspecting mortals or perhaps the blood of a mortal willing to devote his life to her. She had come across only but a handful of those in her lifetime. Tonight was a somber one and Isobella had dressed as such in a dark red corset top with a long black tiered skirt that she had switched out for a shorter one and knee high suede boots. She was particular to Victorian style and every outfit she wore was reminiscent of the era. Perhaps because that was the last time she was truly alive. Enough of this! she thought harshly to herself. Isobella threw her hands to her side and turned to face the boardwalk once more. She held her head high and made her way to find Wilisa to tell her the news. When she saw her though with her long, ebony hair she lost some of her resolve and only wanted to be in her arms. "Wilisa!" she called out as she sped to her arms.

Isobella hugged the girl tightly, not wanting to look into her golden eyes and tell her. No, she just wanted to pretend that none of this was happening. Hesitantly, she pulled away from the girl and gave her a sad smile. "Wilisa, they're sending me away. Some place where the head of the coven will be watching my every move and I'll be their prisoner..." She closed her eyes as they stung with the familiar sign of approaching tears, but Isobella didn't cry anymore. She was not human enough to. "I won't know where I'm going. Should I abandon my coven?" She looked back up at the girl for answers. Both knew to leave Isobella's coven would mean endless nights of fighting off its members and never having a night of peace. but for Wilisa, Isobella would destroy everyone in her coven if only it meant to be with her.
