Story

As normal life in Gensokyo continues on, A story of a certain "person" unfolds.
In a Small house on the border of a cave called "The Mare", A lonely Priestess lived there. When she was twenty-five, she witnessed a creature attack a mass amount of humans for trespassing in the cave, even after it told them not to come close. After most were killed by it's sheer power, or ran away, it turned to the girl struck with fear. It looked at her and said "Look into my eyes.". She did as the creature said and looked at it. The creature then told her, "Your eyes tell me you fear my image, Your heart is racing, your mind is flowing with words, and you never wanted to harm me.". The creature then formed itself into a human but was unable to change it's black body.
The girl crawled backwards towards the exit but it said "What you are feeling now is true fear. Some humans think that by getting rid of fear, they would be happy forever. Yet with no fear, a Human is no longer a human. Without me, humans would be unbalanced.". She stopped to ask "Why did they want to kill you?" it then said "They are afraid of my existence and think i would one day use there fear against them."
It shook it's head before covering the girl in a shadow dome, only to be back outside. The last words she heard was "From now on, you will be the Priestess of my cave. I have given you a portion of my power to use. Please, Prevent more humans from death...".
from then on, that same Priestess lives there, warning travelers and visitors to not approach the cave with the millions of Paper Wards that read "Fear Fear".

But now, The priestess is Dead, The wards are destroyed, and Fear is now out for revenge.

Name: Nahumar (formerly Fear)

Abilities: Able to Store up fear.

Age: ???

Occupation: To Manage and Distribute fear equally among Humans, Absorbing excess fear.

Location: The Mare.

Description: A man with a short white shirt, a black cloak where the left side had a sleeve for his arm to go through, and some very baggy pants that looked like a dark shade of orange and black. He also has long black hair that reached down to the middle of his back with small strands of orange and Orange eyes. His real form is a cross between a Wolf and a Lion.

Relations (Part of this story): Hina Kagiyama (Acquaintance)
Malrama (Friend's child/Priestess.)

Spell cards: (his Danmaku he uses are black orbs but the first cardd is more of his nature to make his opponents defense get let down.)
1) Enveloping Darkness, Great Fear. (If it succeeds, The user will be faced with some of the most horrific images. It affects only one character at a time but the person affected would be Petrified with fear on the outside and unable to hear other people but him/herself, the image, and of course Fear.)

2) Nightmare Sign, Fear The Reaper. (Spawns two scythe blades at his side while throwing smaller ones which are faster than his normal Danmaku. After throwing the small ones the two big ones are thrown like a boomerang at the target and on the return hope to hit behind the target.)

3) Nightmare Sign, Chain Reaction. (Danmaku type card. Tosses a long chain of shadow around a person and makes a sort of barrier. It will then break and shoot through the middle of the barrier and continue going through till it hits something in a straight line. When it hits a living person/creature, they reflect the bolt like a mirror but turns the one bolt into three more and in turn, on weak living things, incapacitates the target [or knocks them out])

4) Nightmare Sign, Kreddy Frueger (Creates a hand with long tips resembling knifes. swipes up to three times before it is gone.[yes it's a play off Freddy Krueger's hand.)

Species: Human

Abilities: Can calm Fear

Age: twenty three.

Occupation: To calm Fear.

Location: The border of "The Mare".

Description: A female who wears the colors of her Mother's outfit, Black and gold with one pair of red eyes on the left chest. Blond short hair and Green eyes make up her face.

Relationships: Fear (Mother's friend)

Bio: She never knew her true mother or the fate she would have to take. After visiting her Mother's old home, she finds a clue as to who killed her and wishes to make the raging beast calm once more. She may not have any spells but indeed she can use a short sword well.

At a hillside overlooking a river, A Human shrouded in all black looked out. Two humans with armor and swords approached him.
"You two humans. Do you know anything about fear?"
One of the humans said "We do know fear, But you must be slain for the sake of Gensokyo!".
The Black entity just laughed evilly.
"Why kill me? The very controller of the human emotion 'Fear'? Without it, you would not be human. Without any fear, you would not be standing here right now."
He turned to face them but only his mouth was visible. He pointed to the guard on the left. "Your major fear is the safety of your wife and two children...You wish nothing to happen to them? no?"
The guard nodded, shocked. "I am merely looking for five guards that were at my shrine and killed my priestess. If you two wish to live, then step aside."
The left guard moved but the right one drew his sword.
"You can't play Mind games with me MONSTER!"
The entity looked at him and asked "Please sheath that sword, i wish to not fight you. You are not who i-" But the human trusted the sword in his chest. The entity just devoured the blade and looked towards the attacker. "Family man. If i were you, i would close your eyes and plug your ears.".
The entity then shot out five extensions from his back, piercing the attacker's body. "Your major fear was not achieving officer rank to gain respect? You disgust me..." and he shot one blast of Dark energy down the middle, blowing his body in half and piercing his neck to end the pain. The other human removed his hands from his ears to ask "Who are you?". As the entity was leaving he said "Call me, Fear.".

"They killed her because of her 'friendship' with me. I just wish to show the humans about true fear. Starting with the Five that visited her shrine and killed her right there."
His face could barely show emotion. But from how he sounded, he was truly angry.
"Humans need a lesson. And the best way is example through the five that started this mess. I will show humans that you should never mess with fear."
He could remember that image. He saw the event from with in the cave. the sword trusted into her chest.

Fear looked at the Succubus.
"No. This is a path i must go alone."
Again he looked at her before back to Yukari.
"I must move. Going to find more information on the five."
He said calmly before melting in the ground as a shadow then running off.

As Fear traveled on, he went passed the old shrine. He knew there was nothing left but instead went to visit the grave he made.
He knelt down at the grave of his former priestess.
"Don't worry, I will find them for you."
He walked inside the shrine to see if there are any leads. He checked the broken furniture and the back room. He even tried to see if anything from the broken side was left.
He was about to go on when he noticed a picture. He looked at it and remembered the man that visited his priestess every day.
"I wonder if he is still around?"
After setting the photo down he looked outside the broken part of the shrine. He walked to her grave once more.
"I will come back, after my revenge."
He then faded into the shadows once more to search.

Somewhere deep in the Forest of Magic, Fear appeared from the ground. He was holding his only link to the first victim. He passed through the trees as a Squirrel, yet still black.
"I can feel him somewhere."

The Squirrel looked at Yukari.
"Vision? I saw it with my eyes. Don't act like you were there."
Fear said with much hatred in his voice. He wants to bring redemption to the Four lesser humans, while getting revenge on the human with the Shield.
"Now retreat back into your Rift. I can smell the human close by..."
Fear then jumped from tree to tree, following the trail.
