As Zane entered the fighting arena, he cracked his knuckles and his neck. It seemed to ease the tension that he had built up there over time. Stepping in the middle of the ring, he sighed as he saw that there was absolutely no one there. "Is there no one that will dare challenge me? This is kinda boring..." he stated as he merely looked up at the sky. The clouds overhead were nice and fluffy, he wished that he could be laying atop of one of them right now. But instead he was stuck here on teaching duty...he should have never stolen that New Naruto Mange from the Kage...

Tosatsu slowly walked into the fighting area, his steps kicking up small clouds of dust as he went. Apparently this place had not seen much use. Stepping into the ring he brushed off his clothing, a simple outfit made up of a plain long sleeved shirt with wide cuffs, and a pair of comfortable pants. Just baggy enough to be comfortable, but not enough to be a hindrance. They also boasted a large number of pockets with who knows what stashed inside. On his back he had a long metal pole, possibly an axle from someone's wagon, but it was probably unwise to ask about that. Holding it on was a simple strap and harness that went over his shoulder, though the winching catch that actually held it in place was a bit more complicated.
Facing the other man in the arena Tosatsu held up his hand in greeting. "Hey there, you here for a fight? If so, got any particular rules?" He asked. He was itching for a good spar, and this seemed as good a place as any to get it.
(( And that is probably the longest character description I have ever made. Well, in a single chunk anyways. ))

"Yup, I have the unfortunate task to teach you how to fight. We'll be breaking the fights to particular areas, dealing with taijutsu, ninjutsu and genjutsu. I want to make sure that you can effectively use each one of them," Zane explained to him as he took up his fighting stance. His right leg was out front while his left was back. His shoulders were rather relaxed with both his fists up and by the sides of his cheeks. "Now...I want you to attack me using taijutsu! Lets go!" Zane commanded.
(That's great, I can really visualize you and what you look like, which is what I want to read)

"Not sure on the other two, but taijutsu I can handle." Tosatsu said with a smile. Reaching behind his back he released the catch on his staff, letting it fall to the ground. "It'd only be a hindrance, I'm not using a weapon on an unarmed man." He explained. Instead of taking any particular stance, he stepped a little closer to the apparent teacher. As soon as he got within a good distance he suddenly accelerated. Throwing himself into a slight spin and lowering his body, he drove his right hand towards the other man's chest.
(( I am far better at counter based melee than anything else. As you can probably tell by how bad that opener was. ))

Zane opened his palm out as he took a single step to the left. He placed the palm of his hand on the wrist of Tosatsu's punch, redirecting it to go past him as he made him miss the punch. Zane perfored several back flips as he put a reasonable distance between the two. "That wasn't too bad...now lets see how you can defend..." Zane stated as he tapped the ground with the tip of his right foot.
Pushing off with his right, Zane lunged at Tosatsu at amazing speeds. But this wasn't a head on dash, Zane planted his left foot down on the ground as he lunged diagnally left, then did the same with his right. He was charging Tosatsu in a zig zag pattern to confuse him as to where he was going to attack, from the left...or from the right...the right, Zane thought as he launched a punch aimed at the side of Tosatsu's head from the right side.

Tosatsu was just realizing how stupid his attack had been, when he was forcibly thrown of course. It was no surprise really, and he recovered quickly. Facing Zane as the man spoke, he brought his own hands up ready to counter.
When the man began to rush him in a zig zag, Tosatsu couldn't help but smirk. It was an age old tactic, confuse the opponent as to where you were coming from, and strike when they change their guard. Thus, instead of altering his position, he waited until the man was ready to make his move, and dropped to the ground. One hand on the ground he threw himself into a spin, legs sweeping around to catch the other man's from wherever he came from.

((I'm taking over for Zane because of how busy he's been...this seriously hasn't been looked at in over a month.))  As Zane dashed at the young boy, Tosatsu would feel a strong right foot connect with the side of his face coupled with the sigh of a young man. It was none other than Luo Ushio. It seemed however, that he was dressed rather casually, and by the looks of his sunken eyes he was a bit hung over and not all too thrilled to be there. As his foot meshed with the flesh on the side of the young man's cheek, there was a sigh which escaped Luo's lips, perpetuating how much the job seemed to inconvenience his throbbing head. In a rather dull and listless mutter he seemed to speak to Tosatsu saying, "Be aware of your surroundings. What is directly in front of you may not be the threat you wish to avert." As Zane's dash seemed to halt, Luo lowered his foot casually. Jutting his head to the right as if telling Zane to leave he spoke once more echoing through mumbled words, "I'm taking over, you're taking too long." With a look of confusion on Zane's face, it was clear that Luo was not in the mood for his friend to argue with him. As Zane nodded and hefting off, Luo jumped back as if standing in mid-air, his hands resting in his pockets. "I am Luo Ushio, combat specialist, and field strategist. I've been called in to take over because....well because Hajime is lazy. He forgot some other kids in a classroom and they've been sitting there for the past two days. Name. Now." Luo's look was ironic; although his tone was very much serious and commanded respect and resounded with authority, the sunken in glaze from his eyes along with his casual leather jacket, t-shirt, and jeans seemed to be an ill fit for him. It was only further made ironic that the lazier of the pair of instructors was dressed in a more formal fashion than the one who seemed to not be here nor there about his current job. But it was true what they said: Luo was the best of the best when it came to in field strategics. If he was called in, it was usually a privelage to study under him....or rather, be stuck under him. Some called it training, others called his methods torture. Luo however, didn't really care which term the kids and faculty used for it. The point was that he was paid aptly for this job, and didn't need to abide by the dress code.
