Hobbies: Target Practice: Guns, guns, guns. They’re the perfect weapon. The epitome of accuracy, control, and power. Nothing better. At least not for Nicholas. She spends as much of her free time as she can at shooting ranges, trying different guns and bullets out. You know, between homework, school, sports, and clubs… However, she doesn’t own any guns, as her parents would disapprove greatly, but the art of it keeps her busy and focused. It’s one thing to shoot guns for fun. It’s another to actually own one. She was raised alongside that principle as well as others that her parents taught her.
Busy Bee: Nicholas doesn’t like sitting around doing nothing. It’s pointless and annoying. She enjoys keeping busy and doing anything productive. She throws herself into projects, homework, community sevrice, and clubs or sports she feels the desire to join. She has an actual
need to be kept busy, even if it’s for someone else's benefit in reality. It’ll still give her something to do, and she’ll do it as long as she likes you. She’s very easily submersed in her work and anything else she’s been given, but she has complete control of each task, and though she may be absorbed to the point the outside world is forgotten sometimes, the focus soothes her. It's been found that the driving idea behind this idiosyncrasy is for the sense of accomplishment it brings. That resulting feeling makes Nicholas feel good, and it is one emotion that was hard to find living under the pressure of being an only child in a family with high standards, especially one that lived by the idea of earning your own success.
Maps: Nicholas finds security and precision in maps. Maps are right. Maps are good. Maps can win. Maps don’t lose. Almost everything maps embody are what she believes in. She makes marks on them, sticks tacks on them, and even carries them around sometimes. Nicholas has grown to collect maps whenever she goes somewhere if one is offered. Not only can she use it to mark her own personal "achievements" but it also lets her preserve memories. Like a picture, maps just last longer.
Virtues: Confident: Nicholas is naturally proud, confident, and smart. As a child, her parents were often curious as to how she knew certain things. A lot of times, they would ask her. Her reply was always, “I just know.” Nicholas is that kid in the class who is constantly asking questions that no one else had even thought of. She’s the same kid who steps up and takes charge in group projects, if not a little anally so. You know the type. She’s perfectly fine with you as long as she can lead the group and do most of the work. She has noticed that people want to be grouped with her, but it’s only because they know she’s going to commandeer the project. And that’s fine with her as long as they do their part and let her do the rest. Though Nicholas gets quite controlling, she doesn't mean harm in it, necessarily. It's simply how she stays level-headed.
Nicholas is an ace when it comes to presentations due to her poise, confidence, knowledge, and determination. She will gladly give a two hour speech on a literary analysis if need be. Though her confidence and other traits that accompany it are seemingly friendship-makers, she doesn’t put herself out there because she doesn't tend to give people credit until they'vre proven themselves, which is something
they should initiate, not her.
Reliable: Nicholas doesn’t break her word once she’s given it. It goes without saying that she expects the same from you.
Loyal: If Nicholas takes a liking to you (whether it be for a common goal or opinions she agrees with), you will find that you have her complete devotion. She will do most anything you ask of her, and she would willingly defend you if the need arises.
Flaws: Opinionated: Nicholas has opinions and will not adjust them to be what you think they should be. She voices them when she feels it’s appropriate, such as a person bringing up a topic in which she feels the complete opposite of how they do on the matter. She’s insistent in her opinion being the right one, and she’s likely to blatantly ignore you should you try to assert YOUR opinion over hers.
The Truth Hurts: “Life sucks and then we all die.” Nicholas is going to tell you what she thinks straight up, regardless of how it makes you feel. Sometimes the truth hurts. Other times the truth ends in nothing but backtalk and arguments. Either way, Nicholas is going to tell you how things are (to her).
"Control Freak": If it hasn't become clear by this point, Nicholas is a controlling person. She functions best with that sense of security and the ability to be in charge of an entire situation. However, she can't handle not being in control or losing that leadership to someone else. For her it is not so much about the competition as it is that she needs to feel safe, and letting her protection slip away does not sit well with her. She will do anything to gain that back, but she is known to beat herself up over it before becoming overly emotional with blind rage. She believes she is the one who has the right to wield that power over others, not you. It
has to be done her way. That sort of superiority can be insulting, but Nicholas sees nothing wrong with it because she is right. She is willing to go pretty far in order to secure her position of control, bringing herself back into a calm state of mind.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: More angular than round, but not overly so. They are a mossy green color and framed by long lashes.
Hair: Dark brown. Her hair is straight and pulled into one ponytail in the back. Put up, the tips of the ponytail reach her mid-back. There’s not a hair out of place and her hair is naturally straight. It’s not as high as what is known as a “high ponytail” but is still higher than most people wear ponytails. A single, black band is used to tie up her hair. Each time it’s wrapped around her hair, it is done precisely so, so to ensure that there are no crease, folds, or irregularities in the band.
Face: Pale for the most part with a slight olive complexion. Her face is oval-shaped with very angular and defined features and a long, kind of pointy nose. She bares no kind of freckles or blemishes on her face. Her forehead, exposed because of her hair being in a ponytail, is broader than normal, or broader than she’d like it to be, anyway. Her ears are showing as well, but they are average size with no piercings in them. There are no piercing holes either.
