Zombies are taking over. What is your weapon of choice to defend yourself?
Me, I like a blunt staff-like weapon. I'm a terrible shot with a gun. Problem is, so close to zombie blood means I could become infected. D: Better than being eaten though.

For practicality purposes, a blunt object like a baseball bat or something.
For fun purposes, a pump-action shotgun. Shotguns are just fun. The whole cocking and then shooting a loud, powerful spray blast. It's like blowing your load.

A machete and a katana. I won't have to worry about ammo, well made katanas slice a persons head off rather well, and it is much lighter and longer than an axe or other swords (rapiers are useless). A machete is a must have survival tool and can be used to start fires as well as hacking off zombie parts. :3

Probably a gun of sorts. Preferably a more distanced one, than a shotgun. So either a sniper rifle or an assault rifle. Or both. And ammo. D<
Other than that, I'd go for a light-weight sword-like weapon in case I ran out of ammo. As well as a smaller hunting knife for "too" close distances. Oh. And my trusty baseball bat. : D
