  • Godmodding - Whether roleplaying in this journal or elsewhere, godmodding actions/reactions/thoughts/stats/history for any of my characters will not be tolerated. I reserve the right to not interact with anyone who displays godmodding behavior. All attempts at godmodding will be retconned*.

  • IC/OOC Line - I respect the IC/OOC line. Just because a character acts/thinks in a certain way does not mean it is a reflection of the player's actual OOC thoughts/actions. I reserve the right to not interact with anyone who blurs the IC/OOC line in a destructive way.

  • Spelling/Grammar - I highly value good spelling and grammar.. No one is perfect, but I reserve the right to not interact with anyone whose spelling/grammar is so poor it renders their posts nearly unreadable.

  • IC Posts - Only those with written permission to do so may post IC in this journal. The exception to this rule is gift delivery- gift delivery posts are always allowed.

  • OOC Posts - OOC posts are always allowed, as long as they do not disrupt the flow of an ongoing journal roleplay session. OOC posts must always be in ((double parenthesis)).

  • Comfort Zone - If you are not comfortable with themes, concepts, scenes, and situations used by my my character(s)- please feel free to avoid interacting with them. I understand that everyone has different hot buttons/squicks, and will not take such a decision personally. Do not ask that my character(s) avoid whatever theme, concept, scene, or situation happens to bother you- such requests will be refused.

  • Imitation - Similarity between my character(s) and any previously existing real or fictional character(s) is usually not intentional, or only meant to pay homage. Also, I don't mind interacting with characters who may have powers or personalities similar to my character(s). As long as the core concept is not being copied completely, it doesn't bother me at all to interact with characters similar to mine.

  • Socializing - Some of my character(s) are not social, nice, or remotely sexual. Please do not ask me to have them react in a way that goes against their nature- all such requests will be denied.

  • Playdates - Playdates may be requested as OOC posts in this journal, or by PMing Moorgahaine.

  • Sale - This character is not for sale. Any request to purchase one of Moorgahaine's characters will automatically be refused.

  • Rules -These rules will be added to and/or adjusted as needed.

*Retcon- The action/scene/reaction is removed from the storyline, as if it never took place.

  • Likes - Eating, biting, snapping, chomping, and darkness.
  • Dislikes - Bright lights, rough textures, having food taken away, and the shields Moorgahaine puts on all household appliances to prevent her from trying to eat them.
  • Drawbacks - Angellica's eyes are extremely sensitive to the light- so much so that anything short of near or total darkness renders her blind. Her skin is very sensitive, and prone to drying out unless oils and lotions are applied daily.
  • Advantages - Angellica has very strong, sharp teeth that can chew through nearly anything, given enough time. She can open her jaw wide enough to swallow something twice her size ( O.O! ).
  • Abilities - In total darkness, her own glowing markings provide just enough light for her eyes to comfortably function. She has very keen senses and instincts when it comes to hunting for food.
  • Personality - Angellica finds nothing quite as satisfying as devouring anything that can fit in her enormous jaws. She is a glutton, but more than willing to go through any physical/mental challenges to capture a tantalizing new treat.
  • History - She emerged from the dimensional rift and made quite a gruesome splash with those present. Moorgahaine happily accepted her into his household, having always had a soft spot for freakish lifeforms. She was believed to have been killed during the tragic events in MEF several months ago, but was recently found wandering the shop's corridors, apparently having gotten lost while chasing down a particularly tasty-looking moth.
  • Favorite Foods - Anything that can fit in her mouth.
  • Favorite Colors - Black.
  • Favorite Elements - Water, shadow, and gravity.
  • Favorite Movies - Jaws, Open Water, and Finding Nemo (Mmm... clown fish. *chatters teeth*)
  • Favorite Books - One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • Moorgahaine - Adopted father of Angellica, and the owner of MEF.
DoB: Unknown- assumed to be at least tens of thousands of years ago. Celebrated on October 31.
Age: Unknown- assumed to be at least tens of thousands of years old.
    Species: Gealdritchean.
City of birth: Bahtgeal, Reaght'lor - Gealdritch.
Occupation: Owner of Moorgahaine Emporium & Forge (MEF), technomancer, troubleshooter (and maker).
Marital Status: Married to Sweven Austerulous.
Hobbies: Chess, painting, debate, hiking, and experimentation.
Likes: Tea, good humor, inspirational landscapes, research, and intellectual stimulation.
Dislikes: Poor manners from those who should know better, being out of control of a situation, any loss of personal freedom(s), and unwarranted arrogance.
Personality: Moorgahaine has a rock-solid confidence that often crosses over to outright arrogance. He believes Gealdritcheans are the peak of all multiversal lifeforms, but is not rude enough to often express these sentiments to non-Gealdritcheans. He views most sentient alien lifeforms as having a child-like level of development, until proven otherwise. While usually polite, his politeness is almost always utter condescension. Sentient aliens that prove above a child-like development level are almost always seen as 'exceptions to the rule' by him. Aside from being staggeringly prejudiced, he's usually rather easy to get along with and always willing to offer assistance when asked. Generous to a fault, this willingness to help any who request it has gotten him into trouble more often than not.
History: Moorgahaine comes from a loving and rather unremarkable family. The most noteworthy events in his earlier days was starting a small shop called Moorgahaine Emporium & Forge, and winning the Gealdritchean Immortality Lottery. He has been married a few times over the millenia, and sired a few children. All of his previous spouses and children died long ago (excluding Austerulous, obviously).
After establishing a shop on Gaia, Moorgahaine bonded with a powerful jewel called an Edelsteine. He went through many changes while bonded to the jewel, but it was ultimately forcibly removed by an enemy called 'Morningstar'. The jewel is now carried within his pocketwatch as a reminder of what once was.
Having left Gaia for a time after several deaths said to have happened within his own shop, he has now returned. His mood tends to be much more volatile these days, and his patience very thin.
  • Austerulous - Moorgahaine's lifemate, and co-owner of MEF.
    DoB: January 9th, 1976
    Age: 30.
    Species: Human Wizard/Gealdritchean hybrid.
City of birth: Spinner's End, England.
Occupation: Co-owner of Moorgahaine Emporium & Forge (MEF), Potions Master.
Marital Status: Married to Lehn Moorgahaine.
Hobbies: Wizard's chess, debate, experimentation, and writing.
Likes: Potionry, alchemy, power, challenging research, cold dungeons, and disection.
Dislikes: Children, pranks, Grimm, sports, and most of humanity.
Personality: Austerulous is a man with little time for niceties, an explosive temper, and a skill for grudge-holding. He is also intellectually gifted, has limitless reserves of patience when it comes to studies, and an unbreakable sense of loyalty (when he gives it honestly, that is). His attraction to power gets him in trouble more often than not- but he has always considered it worth the prices paid.
History: Austerulous' early childhood was quite troubled, and his stay in wizarding school not much better. When offered a chance to leave it all for the promise of unimaginable power, he chose to follow Moorgahaine without hesitation. Eventually, his bond with the Gealdritchean became much deeper, and he agreed to be lifebonded. While their relationship is rarely carnal, he finds it a very satisfying arrangement.
Due to a prank pulled by one of his enemies (Grimm), Austerulous ended up pregnant. The resulting child (Austeruelaine) has proven to be slightly more tolerable than he finds most children, and quite an attentive student. Rather than stress the relationship, the child has helped deepen his bond with Moorgahaine. Austeruelaine was one of the many MEF lodgers that came up missing several months ago. He is currently presumed dead.
After leaving Gaia for several months due to the tragic events at MEF< he has recently returned and taken up shop duties once more. His mood is fouler than ever, but he treads very lightly while in Moorgahaine's presence.
  • Gahainen - Adopted daughter of Moorgahaine. Reported to be dead, recently reborn via the mirror memoria.
    Age: Newly-born.
    Species: Mirror Memoria
City of birth: MEF - Aekea, Gaia.
    Marital Status: Single.
Hobbies: Psychology, hunting/tracking, mythology, horror genre books/movies/art/games, and urban legends.
Likes: Scaring people, bitter food/drink, water, blood, shadows, things that go bump in the night, sushi, and killing.
Dislikes: Being ignored, fairytales with happy endings, overly cheerful people, sweet food/drink, and innocence.
Personality: She has a very dark personality, delusions of grandeur, is narcissistic, is something of a control freak, has extreme arrogance, and quite the temper. She has a taste for violence and gore, but equally appreciates a more subtle ******** approach.
History: Gahainen is the memory of an experiment gone seriously wrong. It's not always smart to fool around with mother nature, or forces you don't fully understand. She was artificially created by Moorgahaine, with samples freely (and not so freely) given by various Fa'e. She emerged from the biovat as a child with limitless rage and a fascination with fear. Shortly after her creation, a creature known only as Jabberwock found her and became her constant companion. Jabberwock taught her to hunt, provided sacrifices for her, and planted the suggestion of building a temple to herself. She worked on the temple, inspired by unknown forces, until the day she died.
This memory Gahainen was brought into being by the mirror memoria, an antient relic that lies deep with the MEF shop.

  • Jabberwock
    Species: Unknown
Likes: Hunting, serving Gahainen, and scheming.
Dislikes: Gahainen being disappointed in his service, situations being pulled from his control, and failed hunts.
Personality: Jabberwock is zealously loyal to Gahainen, and will use any means needed to serve his mistress. He is bloodthirsty, cruel, and quite ambitious.

  • Weaver
    Species: Alri'sikai
Likes: Books, all kinds of woven art, sewing, and debate.
Dislikes: Clumsiness, stupidity, destruction of woven art, and overly loud people.
Personality: Weaver is a very intelligent, artistic perfectionist with a flair for... well, weaving.

  • Gehenna
    Species: Tamashii Summons
Likes: Violence, arguements, horror, and revenge.
Dislikes: Vibrantly alive/happy people, people invading its space, and lack of respect for the dead.
Personality: Gehenna is a destructive, chaotic spirit that is used like a hunting hound by Jabberwock. Gehenna revels in the most extreme cruelty, gore, and hatred.

  • PomPom
    Species: Gahainen Manifest
Likes: Bright/shiny objects, sugar/caffeine, and acrobatics.
Dislikes: Being confined, being yelled at, and boredom.
Personality: PomPom is a hyperactive little spider whose cheerful personality is a sharp contrast to Gahainen's more dark demeanor. Unfortunately, it is drawn to people suffering from arachnophobia, and will try to help them overcome their fears by giving lots of hugs (or affectionately nesting in their hair).

  • Oshima - A Juusanshi lodger at MEF.
  • Skylark - A Feien bonded to Moorgahaine.

MEF is home to shops, forges, laboratories, hotel rooms, dance halls, amusement parks, restaurants, and more. The problem is, most of this amazing playground sits empty, frequented only by MEF ServoBots and the occassional customer. Its once-active owners (Moorgahaine and Austerulous) rarely make an appearance, seemingly haunted by the shop's past... incidents.

With or without its owners, MEF exists as a multiversal nexus point, and is forever expanding. This structure seems to live, breathe, and change according to its own whims. While some areas of this space seem stable, others evolve so quickly it would be impossible to make an accurate mundane map of MEF (or at least not one that would be accurate a few moments after it was made). So far, all attempts to properly map MEF have failed- even when aided by powerful magic. It's secrets remain guarded by forces unknown.

MEF was established as a Gealdritchean home-based business when Moorgahaine was 61 years of age and had a few years of immortality under his belt. Wanting to create something that would make good use of his extended lifespan (and stave off boredom), Moorgahaine decided to combine his knowledge of magic and technology with his love of meeting new people. On the shop's 61st anniversary, it was transferred to a new multiversal shop in Gealdritch's bustling downtown Realgritch district, where it remains to this day. MEF holds the record for most dimensional gateways of any Gealdritchean multiversal shop, a record that is sure to last considering Moorgahaine continues to apply for many new dimensional doorways every year.

The support structure of MEF actually comes from Gealdritch's first multiversal shop, Shoppe Xeargoor. Moorgahaine purchased the first shop's skeletal structure frame in an auction, and decided to update it and put it to good use. Due to Shoppe Xeargoor's infamous past and explosive end, rumors of MEF being haunted circulated quickly. Moorgahaine avoided the subject, and occassionally encouraged the rumors to flourish by decorating the shop with many items said to be cursed or haunted.

On its 961st anniversary, MEF was declared a Gealdritchean historical landmark. Moorgahaine was invited to be a member of the Realgritch Rotary Club that same year, a position he continues to hold to this day. MEF is the only non-corporate business represented on the Realgritch Rotary Club board. It was also this year that Moorgahaine sold his personal home, and moved into the MEF shop- thus creating Casa Encanto. The Casa sat abandoned along with MEF for a time, and has only recently seen signs of activity.

The map above is the closest Moorgahaine ever came to making an accurate map of MEF. It usually shows somewhat accurate general areas of the shop, but any details (like... doorways, windows, room size, hallway placement, etc.) are almost always incorrect. But for those wanting a bit of adventure, copies of this foldout map are still freely available at all shop counters.

With or without a map, it is incredibly easy to get lost inside MEF- so much so, that even the ServoBots get lost at least once a week. Because of this, directions from ServoBots are not always accurate. To further complicate things, compasses and watches do not function properly within MEF.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

  • ME&F is a mutliversal shop that exists on a nexus planet called Gealdritch. Doorways to this shop exist throughout the multiverse, and all lead to the same core shop. Customers may only exit through the door they entered, but may stay as long as they wish. (Do not use ME&F as a way to visit other dimensions or timelines, without Moorgahaine's written approval IC and OOC.)
  • Some visitors walk directly into the main shop area, and others end up wandering through the mazes, lost for hours/days on end.
