Credits go to Clash Kiddick.

Let's try this again buddies! No slick comments this time! Inciting riot is a bannable offense, I should know!

Clash Kiddick in paraphrasing
Who is your favorite roleplayer of all time and why?

Dear Clash,

My favorite RP-ers are FOX. Because Fox is like me and reading his posts don't piss me off.

And Shackled Servant, because she made me enjoy doing something other than rp fighting.

My favorite roleplayers? Well...

I can't quite say that I have an absolutely favorite - or I should say, there are too many to count. I've played into some sort of story, battle, tournament or whatever else one could happen upon in this nutso kooky gaiaverse. I can't even list the most notable of them, if only because of the length as well.

Most people in Leviathan such as Vahn, Jello, Shoe, Kraun, JB, Fen, Silver, Opaj... etc. etc. etc...

These were the many names I remember back when I started in 2006 and into '07. These guys were the legends among legends, the badasses that defined badassery, the guys who could shoot lasers from their peckers and win at everything they did! These guys were what I aspired to achieve and become in time; and also learn from as time went on.

Then there are people like Darth, Damon, Jak, Dark Conspiracy, Cog, Rage, Tenkai, Desi etc.

These are the guys that I liked to learn from right from the start. Not only had I roleplayed with them prior to me even being a part of Leviathan, but they helped me go from a short line, not-so-entertaining roleplayer to a person that could get on the ball with some effort and write something entertaining now and again. As time went on with them, I found myself becoming a lot better than I once was - it was a great feeling.

We now come upon the people who drove me to both rage and understand why I was raging. Crawley, Fox, Jak, Cog (again), Riddle, Griff, etc.

These people had a tendency to get me on edge whenever things went on in an rp. It went from a simple rp fight in the Battle Arena, to something that interfered with my entire way of doing things (And in Riddle's case, kept me at a certain level for a long time). Back then I fought against it, like the rest of bandwagoneers at the time. Fight for what I thought was right, treat it like it affected everything I had come to know. This, in fact, only limited my knowledge of the roleplaying world and thus kept me at the level I had been taught - like a good dog you could say. It wasn't until Griff decided enough was enough at that place and exploited every possible problem with it - only then did I finally come to realize that it truly was a mess of cultist rp'ers for the better half of its existence. My knowledge then thrived after the BA's downfall.

Since then I have come to know a great many people who, like me, were and still are learning the ropes of fun and decent roleplaying. Many - even myself at one point - called Leviathan elitist and biased on many levels. These are the people who still have learning to do (though a few exclusive and unnamed people do get that title, regardless). When somebody lets go of all boundaries and truly immerses themselves into character rp and story-driven roleplaying, they will understand that they themselves are not the character they play, but instead a person writing a story about this character. And once a person realizes they are not the character, they learn to adapt and actually fit in with the people they write with.

With the final step complete, the roleplayer has learned all they can about how this place works, and can now understand that we are nothing more than a bunch of friends having some fun. And they too are now apart of the fun as well...

That was my realization at least, because suddenly I was making friends rather than making enemies. All of the listed and many who are not taught me everything I know about roleplaying and story writing - they all deserve credit as a favorite and noted member in my book.

------------------------------------------

Yeah yeah, I know, tl;dr sorta...

To sum it up for the people who don't like miniature wall texts - we are all great roleplayers. It's just some are still in the process of learning how to better themselves, that's all. And because of that, most are in my book of favorites.

We all just have a different, sometimes darker variant of roleplaying.

Anyways, that's my two cents.

Let it be known that Foxcross' post is the only reason this thread wasn't thrown in the trash. Treat it well children, because you will not get another one if you ruin this thread.

Old thread is here. Do not bring up drama.
