Just curious, whether from the days of old or this newfangled generation, who is or was your favorite roleplayer of all time, how did you encounter him/her, and what is/was special to you about that person's posts? Provide links to memorable posts if you care to take the time to dig them up.

I hate role-playing.
For the sake of fairness, War Diaz, maybe this threat should be more about favourite moments in roleplaying, stories, posts or encounters that were enjoyable, more than role-players themselves.
[edit]: No one does it like Wulf does. please don't ban me.

Alright, it can be about that, too. My favorite roleplayer was Fukai-Akira. If you're feeling nostalgic, bored, or have some time to kill on a rainy night, search his posts and you might find them enjoyable. His posts are simple but I really liked his vocabulary, his outlaw character, and his feel. I can't put it to words but there was something innocent but skilled about his style at the same time...for instance, he made a little post in a fantasy forest RP where he flickered through the grass and then bound into a tree, waiting to adjust to his environment. gonk Another guy I liked was Draka Alpha. He eventually got a bad reputation with some, I think just because people liked to talk s**t about him while he was gone, but I'm a sucker for history and the "good old days," and he RP'd at large on Gaia during the beginning. He had a gritty DBZ-type style, fountains of blood spouting from his mouth, ribs cracking, the breath wrenching from his lungs, flashbacks, and all around manliness. Then there are the Levi people, I like mostly all their posts, but my favorite's got to be Vahn Fah. I got to read back on them a while ago, the early Levi days were classic. Memorable stories and encounters? Everything at The Warmakers, my first guild since starting starting out in late '04. Oh, the good old days, when I was actually inspired and had the fervor and passion of writing.

Actually...
FOX is my favorite roleplayer.
After that is SS. Because I think that was the first time I did something other than fight with someone and not get impatient and pissed off.

@Crawley: It'll be nice for Dana to see that once she's back. :3
As for me, my favorite RPer is Maximos. If I tried to explain why I'd end up rambling. ._.

My favorite roleplayer? Obviously War Diaz! ... ah-ha-ha, okay I'm done with that.
Since I'm clearly not allowed to vote for myself, that also means that I can't vote for Maximos or JB either because, as everyone knows, we are one. Or at least that we're so goddamn similar in how we approach things that it would be impossible for me to say "I love how this person operates" without also saying that "and I love how we're always on the same page".
No... for this honor, I'm going to reach a little further.
My favorite roleplayer is a toss-up betweeen Ryugi Kazamaru and Vintrict.
You want to know why? I'll tell you why. Because like the lyrics of that song they get knocked down but they get up again, ain't never gonna keep them down... The point being that despite that every one of us has likely ragged on them pretty hard at one point (or constantly over the course of years) they're still burning the candle at both ends with all of that enthusiasm for playing their character regardless of the consequences of doing so and that's something that I have to respect as a roleplayer regardless of how much of a headache they give me.
I'd nominate Crawley as well, but as he's so clearly stated several dozen times he is not a roleplayer and frankly he seems to have lost some of that enthusiasm as of late while somehow Kazamaru still manages to keep the fires stoked.
To those that don't try to fit in and doesn't afraid of anything... cheers.

I'm glad, that if anything, in the end of it all, at least someone remembers me. I wasn't exactly the best, let alone perfect...but everything I ever did, I did with trying to entertain the whoever would read what I wrote. I wish I was as motivated as I was back then...but nothing lasts. I'm too old for this all. I hope you find the inspiration you're looking for Clash. I lost mine two years ago.

I blame Kasuga for my lack of inspiration.
Ever since this "peace" stuff. And him never fighting me again...
It's like.. there's no point to anything.
So I have to make RP-movies starring people other than myself.

Josh and Vahn. Their posts are what got me seriously interested in Levistad to begin with instead of just something to kill a few afternoons before quitting.
Ryugi gets mentioned as a rival/friend and the only real reason my character was active for any amount of time.
Honorable mention goes to Maximos, X, and Kraun. Their posts are always interesting.

Tough to say, I'd like to say Kraun is up there. It's hard to play a bad guy, and it's hard to play them well, and I think Kraun does do that well, it's nice to see.
At the same time, I like Jello and Maximos, it's clear they put a lot of work into their posts (I think?). At the same time though, reading their long posts isn't a lengthy drawn-out process, it's a nice clear cut package, rather than a drawn out affair.
Like to mention Vahn too, I enjoy his Victor posts thoroughly, and Vahn while I've never followed too much as a character, the odd post I read it always great.
Mentions go out to Desi too, because he roleplays very well, but keeps it casual. Once again, fun to read.
Lots of great roleplayers in this guild though, always plenty of people to inspire me to try harder.
