Ziya wandered around the village, wondering what kind of trouble his sister could have gotten into. "Zahra," he called, sticking his nose into a few shops. He was starting to worry, but then it didn't take much for him to worry about his twin. He'd been the one taking care of her for as long as he could remember, since their parents had left them. He still couldn't believe they had just up and gone, leaving two small children like them.
Frowning, he shook his head to get rid of the bad memories and resumed looking for his sister. "Zahra, where are you?"

Zahra tried to stay as quiet as she could while hopping from shadow to shadow behind the tall buildings in the village. She had never been one for sneaking around, but she had wanted to scare or at least surprise her elder brother by pouncing him when he wasn't looking. The way he kept moving his head this way and that though didn't give her an opportunity to attack him ninja-style. Giggling quietly, she jumped from her current shadow to a darker spot a little further away. This one however just happened to reside behind one of the buildings surrounded by a dirt, which allowed a huge cloud of dust poof up around her.
Coughing a bit, her eyes widened and she covered her mouth with her paws, turning to peek around the side of the building. She really hoped that his hearing was as bad as his finding skills.

Ziya was too busy sticking his head in various baskets to notice her jump or the cloud of dust she kicked up when she landed. When he brought his head up from the last basket, he caught her scent and knew she was near. Keeping his smile to himself, he continued his search, pretending to look for her. "Zaaaahraaaa," he called again in a sing songy voice.

As her brother turned around, Zahra pulled her head back behind the building and forced her body up against the wall. From a distance, it made her look as though she was stuck to some kind of sticky sandpaper and for a moment, it kind of felt like it too. As her brother called out again, she assumed that he hadn't the slightest idea where she was and allowed herself relax, slumping into the dirt with a sigh. Now, how to scared him, she thought silently, tapping the ground lightly with her paw as the gears turned in her head.
It wasn't long before Zahra got tired of thinking, she hated things that took too much effort. Besides, sitting around wondering about stuff got sooooo boring; it was much more fun to just act on instinct! Peeking around the corner again, she saw her brother's back facing towards her and grinned toothily. Before he had time to turn around and spot his little sister, Zahra was already running towards him. When she got close enough, she could just use her hind legs to propel her off the ground and pounce-! She, however, was way too klutzy for things to work so easily and before meeting her brother's fur, she ran into the basket next to him.
