Started it a week ago and Im already half way done with the anime.
And I have to say, Im pretty much in love.
I don't think there's a character I dislike.
It's got a nice mix of filler and Storyline,
instead of having nothing but filler for like 15 eps and then 6 eps of story ( poor naruto)
So it's always got me amused and laughing.
I can't say much about the manga.
Im a bit of a stickler when It comes to the artists style.
I wasn't able to read it thanks to that ( I also can't read OHSHC or One Piece because of this emo )
So, Anyone who has read the manga and watched the anime..
Feel free to discuss the differences or the similarities.
I'd be psyched to find out if the anime follows the manga closely. So that Im gettin the original story.
P.s. I hope Chrona is a boy haha

But the Manga is fantastic, can't say much about the anime, I didn't watch all of it (I moved to the manga) but the anime dosen't follow the manga excatly, but it still is pretty close, at least in the first few EP.
I absolutly love Death the Kidd, he is so crazy, I wish they would hurry up and save him already.

why does it say all over the internet that it's pretty much a "you'll never know" kinda gender D; this makes me saddd
I really need to get over this art style thing. It's preventing me from so much goodness. >.< Damn you and your pickiness cray.

Ever get the feeling, that when Looking at Black Star.
It's Tsuna's hair. But blue.
But acts like Naruto.
Tsuna/Naruto = Black Star.
I always knew he reminded me of Naruto. But
my friend officially Killed Tsuna when she added him into that mix.

Probly because they never actully say, its sorta implyed with how she is drawn in some rather girlish poses
I ... I had never thought of Blackstar like that, but now all I can think is that he's their baby from some weird accident or something ... lol

XD and in the anime there's a line where ...it.. .says that ..it..
doesn't know how to handle girls or talk to them to that extent.
lol that line alone would make me a little iffy on it.
I don't think Tsuna could ever handle Naruto energy.
That is a disaster waiting to happen

Another reason that I really enjoy this series is becuase the girls aren't the type to just sit there and get saved, they all kick-butt massivly.

I loved the anime...at least until the end.
I mean it has anything I love.
It has some of the best animation especially for this type of series, a really neat dark halloween style, and interesting characters.
And it's first opening might just be my favorite ever.
I hope if they decide on a second season they'll pretend like the last arc didn't happen and give it a good ending.
It really felt cheesy and like there was something missing.
I would of put this series on my top 5 easily but then ending bumped it down to somewhere on the tail end of a top 10, maybe lower.
As for Chrona, I think it's like a running gag never to give him/her a clear gender.
For example, Chrona uses the masculine pronoun "boku" to refer to him/herself but it's not unheard of for girls to use this term so again, not clear.

i haven't had the time to watch the anime yet but i'll get there damnit!!! crying *shakes fist in air* but i have read a few chapters of the manga and i think in the if i'm remembering currectly they did mention chrona's gender in the battle with madusa but hell if i know i might have to go back and read it again.... or at least somthing like that... ja? mrgreen

I started watching Anime Last month after a high schooler showed me some of an episode before I got off the bus.
And that show was Soul Eater.
I thought Chrona was a she in the first few episodes it was in, but after awhile I started to this it was a dude. Then I just got to confused and started calling Chrona "it".
And Medusa and Blair are my favorite characters.
The only thing wrong with Blair is that she is naked too much.

I can't think of a thing I don't love about it D: The characters, the style, the theme, the plot.. it's all super amazing!

Am I the only one who thought Black Star sounded A LOT like an eight-year-old girl with bronchitis?
But if Chrona was in fact a dude, why would Medusa refer to her as her daughter, and not her son?
I wouldn't put it past her to simply call Chrona her daughter if she really was a dude just to confuse her further or tease her.. but still. I think Chrona's a chick despite her lack of femmeninity :]

... And I had a Death the Kid cosplay in RL... which I could never keep a straight face after going onto the "non-symmetrical' rants... Well after finishing them at least. I managed to stay in character for most of the day...
Ah... Fun time at that convention...
As for the Corona thing... The voice actor in Japan is Maaya Sakamoto... A girl.
So over all if you look at it that way. Corona is a she...
(Still looking up the U.S. voice actor)
But I have friends who think that Corona is a boy. So it's really either way you feel like going with it...
... Dang it... I wish I still had that outfit...
