All of those who watched "The Eleventh Hour" will have heard the RTD style prophesy, that "The walls of time are breaking" or something along those lines. What are our theories about this?

I know that a lot of people have been downloading leaked episodes ahead of schedule. Please do not reveal anything from those episodes if they have not been released in the UK yet. Thank you.

Back to the story, now. The most obvious explanation is that the Daleks have something to do with this. We all know now that there will definitely be daleks in this series. It has been revealed in DWM that they will feature in a WWII setting with Winston Churchill, and Cybermen have also been seen in the previews. So, I guess all of those daleks and cybermen from the void have escaped to different times on maybe different planets. Or maybe even a parallel universe. The void is between universes, so it's very possible that they could have escaped somewhere else.

So what ideas do you have?

Maybe because of Rose's actions (of jumping dimensions, creating so many holes; hence "look at you, jumping parallel to parallel trying to find him"-davros), there has been cracks in time.
And I think the enemies will use it as an advantage.
But I don't think Rose'll come back or anything like that.

Angel makes a good point. Whatever Rose did/used to come back to Earth during Stolen Earth had to have had some sort of effect. True, the reason she could get through was because a rip in time made it easier, but there still must be ramifications.

I sure hope Rose doesn't come back again. I never really warmed up to her, I guess. When she left during Doomsday it was sad and emotional, but I felt there was closure. But then the whole next season was "Whine, Whine, I miss Rose" and the next was "Rose is coming back!"...It was always about Rose. It got way too annoying, so I'm really hoping we're done with her story. There have been dozens of companions before her, and there will be dozens more after. [/rant]

Also, there was something about a "Pandorica", or something. So something will be breaking or opening...and considering the Pandora myth, it sure won't be something pleasant.

I like the idea of a season long arc in that sense, amuses me more than standalones do at times.

Definitely looking foward to how this Pandora stuff works out...just hoping Karen Gillam sticks around for 2nd season.

There was a crack in the ship at the end of The Beast Below...
I don't think the Daleks are responsible. This kind of thing will be resolved in the finale, not in episode 3.

I think the Daleks slip through the crack as well. Easy loop hole to bring them back.

I remember in the first episode of series 5 prisoner 0 was taunting the doctor about how rifts and stuff came.

I thought it was made pretty clear in the End of Time that the Doctor was cutting ties with all previous companions; it was like a symbolic goodbye from the writers as well as the Doctor. It'd be so lame to pull out yet another storyline with Rose in it. BURY HER. mad

Its not that any one is saying they are bringing Rose or anyone back...I think that the end of End of Time was a close on all those relationships, or at least most of them.

Personally I liked Rose...just a question but why are so many ppl against Rose sad , I mean I think its time for her story to be done but the tenth Doctor did love Rose, and she was the one who 'made him better'. I don't understand the hate towards her. A lot have people said its because she seems like a fanfic character, being in love with the Doctor, and I see that but that was the idea of Rose! She was created so people could relate to her and say that that could be them! And yes, she fell in love heart with the Doctor, and that does seem a but cliche, but what is wrong with that? If you were a 19 year old girl traveling with a man who could take you almost anywhere to any time, and he was intelligent, brave, funny, caring, and just wonderful, plus cute in his own little stick way then wouldn't you fall in love too? mrgreen I know I would and that is why Rose was created...to be relatable, to be real to people. (/rant)

Anyways, I do think that Rose jumping around from dimensions has caused a few issues. But also the Time Lords just created a huge hole in the universe by shoving themselves and a whole war through the time lock. gonk I am sure that it will all be revealed at the end of this season, and I am sure that everything will be fine in the end, as it always is. I just hope the Doctor doesn't get his heart broken...again. crying

I'm not against Rose, I'm against dead horses being beaten.

I'm pretty damn sure all the previous RTD storylines will have no affect on the new Doctor. sweatdrop
And he's going to get his heart broken again, remember Forest of the Dead?

Thats true. No, I think all of tens story plot (besides River Song) are now more or less voided. We are staring with a clean slate, to say the least. I was just making a point that it is physically possible to include past stories into the new ones. Of course, ithink there is a clight chance that Captain Jack might show up, and maybe Sarah Jane, 'cause technically she is from the third Doctor, and she has made it this far, right? lol. Regardless i will always love Doctor Who, as long as they stay true to what the show is about and keep the good stories coming!!

If Sarah Jane did return, she'd now have four faces/personalities to place the Doctor with. rofl
I can see Jack coming back, considering he first appeared in a Moffat story. 3nodding
