I haven't been surfing that much, but the craftster prank is pretty lulzy.
My icon on it is some deranged tacky craft. xd Other people have like, baby doll parts painting metallic colours. There's also "tips" at the top (they do this normally with regular things).
Ex:
Random Tip: Use cold tin foil to make a luxurious body scrub. Chill. Crumple. Scrub. Repeat!
Random Tip: Dryer lint makes a delicious chilled soup. Boil until tender, add veggies and seasonings to taste.
Random Tip: Did you know you can use peanut butter to mend seams? Apply with a 5-prong plastic fork.
Random Tip: Ketchup makes great hair dye! Just lather it in and wait for the magic to happen.
Find any good ones?
The Gaia one is just kinda annoying XD

Let's see:
Neopets: Introduced 3-D Battledome! Which was just a short video of someone fighting with the plushies. Lulz were had.
Alteil: They 'lost the rights to the game music', so they swapped in versions of the mods humming everything. Hi-larious.
WoW: Poked fun at gear score. (Which, from what I gather, is just another elitist meter.) Kind of meh, but not too bad.
Digimon adoptables site: Didn't work all day. Technically a bug more than a prank,b ut it's something at least.

.... I'm not sure what the 4th one was.
I've got two accounts though - one was Team Jacob, the other was Team Edward.

The only I've found was when Google changed it's name to Topeka, to honor a mayor that changed his towns name from Topeka to Google. Google had announced that it was a permanent change. I almost believed it too gonk .

Newgrounds.com became KevinBacongrounds, and changed their slogan from Everything by Everyone to Kevin Bacon by Kevin Bacon. All the site images were changed to a bacon theme, and there was was massive wordfiltering turning every post into a Kevin Bacon obsessive rant. Everybody made Kevin Bacon themed art, music, animations and games for the day.
...their one last year was better. They went despotic communist China themed, in honour of being "uncensored in china finally" and wanting to open up the site more to their "massive new market in China." Funnier, and better executed. Kevin Bacon was still fun, though.
