By now it's an unmentioned general consensus that our RP could very well use a Zack. More than that, we want a Zack as much as we need him. Let's face it, our RP has the penchant to be a lot darker than most, and the moments of happiness, joy, or silliness are few and far in between. Thinking on that, really the next best player we can put out into the field to balance things out is definitely a Zack.
The problem begins, however, with the fact that Suji and I both have searched countless times through the RP sections of Gaia, went profile/interest diving, and even made a thread! ...but nothing's turned up. And what Zack Fair RPers we do find...well let's just say they're not exactly what we're looking for. :<
So this thread was an idea that I brought up with Rufus, and since she's approved it--this is going to be our double plan to find a Zack at last. But we're going to need everyone's help for this. And yes, I do mean everyone.'
Below I'm going to post something of a questionnaire for you all to fill out. Then, I'm going to ask you all to go even further--at your own leisure of course--and to post RP samples of yourself in Zack's role, based on the scenarios presented. I know it's a lot of work, and half the time we have trouble posting as our own characters often enough. But let me explain to you what our plan of action is.
To put it simply, where on the internet is the thickest concentration of literate writers for FFVII located? Yeah, you don't wanna say it, but you've got to admit it: it's FanFiction.net. The idea is to take all the information that you guys give us, mainly through the questionnaire but including the RP samples as well, and to post up an advertisement there, with all the criteria that we've compiled from our cumulative views on Zack, and therefore hopefully being able to make sure we don't pick up Gaya knows what from the masses. It goes without saying--Zack is such an important, incredible character that finding someone to RP him true to his colors is by far the most important thing. Next to literacy of course~
Now we have one more thing to tell you. Should we not find someone from FanFiction.net to play the role of Zack...the RP samples you have all submitted, along with your willingness of course, will be what we're going to fall back on. If one of us is willing to take the role, and the rest of us agree that they're the well suited for the job if not the best, then we'll have our Zack.
This is not the perfect plan, and I don't want to throw any guilt or feelings of additional responsibility on you guys, but Rufus and I believe that this is the best plan so far made. With that said, it means everything that you help us out with this. Even if your view of Zack is a little different than everyone else's, that's not something we want you to worry about. Your opinion matters the most here. So please, share it with us. We're going to need everything we can get.
