For me, it's very hard to tell, I know it's supposed to be Alucard, but look at how the story also focuses more on Seras Victoria and how she . . .how do I put this in words? Starts out as a meek, reluctant vampire whose afraid to drink blood and then sort of, "grows up", so to speak. The story seems to focus a bit more on her, in my opinion. That's just what I think, though.
What do you think?

I'm completely split on this. I'd say Hellsing, in general, is about Integra and Seras and their maturation through the series. Once Seras matures to her final level, the story focuses in on Integra, who is still maturing. Alucard just plays apart in their development.
As for Hellsing along with Hellsing: The Dawn, I'd say Walter. He's kind of like the Anakin Skywalker of the series. He starts out good, betrays those he loves, and then reverts to the way he was right before his death. Yet, like in Star Wars, without the prequel, he's just a major character.

EVERYBODY wants him dead, it seems. It's like they're a bunch of big game hunters that want his head on the wall above they're fireplace! Okay. . .maybe I went a little too far by saying that! lol

Ok get this Alucard may seem to be "THE main charecter" but he is only one of the main charechters there are 2 Saris (police girl) and then of course there is Alucard but there is no one main charecter.

To me, I never really thought there was a strong focus on anyone in particular...it just played out as it went. Kind of reminds me of Death Note in that aspect. They both don't really try to push morals on you. You're simply observing what was going on, and never really saw the world of Hellsing (and Death Note) through just one character's eyes.

Count Integra I'm completely split on this. I'd say Hellsing, in general, is about Integra and Seras and their maturation through the series. Once Seras matures to her final level, the story focuses in on Integra, who is still maturing. Alucard just plays apart in their development. Hellsing has three main characters. Alucard is the most important main character. The story revolves around him. Integra is the second most important main character. Hellsing's central theme is the Nietzschean concept that one should be careful when fighting monsters, lest one become a monster one's self, and she demonstrates this theme perfectly. Seras is the last and least important main characters. She grows and develops more than any other character, but her growth and development is not central to the story or to the theme. Count Integra As for Hellsing along with Hellsing: The Dawn, I'd say Walter. He's kind of like the Anakin Skywalker of the series. He starts out good, betrays those he loves, and then reverts to the way he was right before his death. Yet, like in Star Wars, without the prequel, he's just a major character. Walter was never very good. He was simply fighting for the good guys. He was always a selfish, psychotic, bloodthirsty brat. The only people he ever felt genuine affection for were Integra and Seras, and he still betrayed them. Der Bauer To me, I never really thought there was a strong focus on anyone in particular...it just played out as it went. Kind of reminds me of Death Note in that aspect. They both don't really try to push morals on you. You're simply observing what was going on, and never really saw the world of Hellsing (and Death Note) through just one character's eyes. As I said above, Hellsing's central theme is the Nietzschean concept that one should be careful when fighting monsters, lest one become a monster one's self. Although it's true that each of the characters seems to have his or her own idea of what that entails, the primary conflict of Hellsing is between Integra, the leader of Hellsing, and the Major, the leader of Millennium. In the end, it's a battle of ideologies. Integra's victory over the Major is symbolic. Her ideology is the one Hirano agrees with. Humans are always the ones that defeat monsters because humans make defeating monsters their duty and do not take pleasure in battle itself.
