Lavender Town is small town in the eastern part of Kanto. It is home to the Pokemon Tower, where people go to mourn for their deceased pokemon, as well as Kanto's Radio Tower. This town is known to be haunted and the Pokemon Tower is known for the Ghost Pokemon that live there.

(I'm posting!!)
Akane stood on Route 8, just before you walked into Lavender Town. She smiles as she looks over her hometown, then proceeds into the town. She looks up at the Pokemon Tower, thinking that she'll have to visit it to pay debts to the deceased Pokemon. Her Umbreon, Myst, suddenly ran up beside her, soon followed by Serena, her Espeon. They both happily jump, remembering the town they were raised in, and rub on Akane's legs.

Akane sighs after getting off the Pokegear with Ikuto. "Of course he has to ask me to hang out... Oh well.." she says, returning Myst and Serena into their Pokeballs. She pulls out another Pokeball, and tosses it in the air. "Come on out, Akira!" she says, before a large Salamence pops out of it's ball. "Hate to do this to you, but we've got traveling to do." she says, smiling a little. Akira stretches his wings, and crouches down, smiling at his trainer. "I knew you'd understand." she says, rubbing his head a little, before jumping onto his back. "Let's go!"
