i think its alright, and the legs are ok too. :3 but the face doesn´t show a little but more like a kid. have you tried drawing chibi instead?

I thought this already looked pretty chibi. Just how young is this kid supposed to be? And what proportions are you using for your adults? Some styles will have 6 heads fit into an adult's body, but that's a kid's size in other styles.
The feet don't seem to be in perspective properly, or they're too small or something... And the arms look like they'd reach down too low. Those could be parts of this being's race, though.

For a more child-like appearance, you should make the forehead bigger/have the eyes lower. I dunno, Google "baby" and "male mugshot" to see the differences.
If they haven't hit puberty yet, maybe make them a bit chubby and generally more round/less defined.

In any case, your drawing of a child heavily depends on what your drawing of an adult looks like.

Hmm... Well, it currently looks like a 3 year old or something to me.
I have some old recordings of my height... The oldest is from when I was 12 years old and I was 4'11", and my younger sister was 4'8" and 10 years old. Judging by the recordings, I grew around 2-3 inches per year. Today I'm 20 years old and around 5'11". It seems like I stopped growing when I was 17 or 18.
Among other people, I've always been sorta average height or even considered a bit short sometimes, same with my sister. 7 or 8 would be a bit shorter than these recordings, of course, and my height certainly doesn't apply to all people.
Anyhow, I'd say a 10 year old might be around 1.5 heads shorter than an adult. That's just my estimate, so you might want to research it more. Hopefully that helps a little...

You might be going for a different sort of style, though. Like, in The Simpsons, the children are half the size of the adults... and Bart is supposed to be 10.
You might want to try having a picture with a child and adult next to each other. Keep in mind a child's head wouldn't be larger than an adult's head, though some styles might have a bigger head to make the kids look cuter or something.

lol, well, I think most average height guys are at least 6 feet. Or maybe people just think I'm shorter than I am since I wear baggy clothes. I think I'd only consider a guy short if they were more like 5'5", which seems to be more like a woman's average height.

what if the chick is 5'7? like meh. :3
