Steffy looks out from in front of Professor Elm's lab, smiling. She had just received her first Pokemon, a Cyndaquil, who was trotting up to her side happily. "Well, Lan! Ready to start our adventure?" she asks, grinning. "Quil quil!" Cyndaquil cried happily.

Steffy smiles at Lan, then starts to walk to the Route beside Professor Elm's lab. "Oh! Before I forget! I was supposed to give Elm something from the Kimono Girls!" she says.

Boris walks towards the door, having received his first Pokemon, a Chikorita. The small grass Pokemon rode on his shoulders, looking rather happy.Just before he was going to step out of the lab, a girl runs into him, and he blinks.

Steffy rams into a person as she entered the lab, and falls back, rubbing her head. "Ow... Oh! I-I'm sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!" she says, standing up quickly.

Javon sat in Elm's lab, looking at the pokeball in his hand before glancing around at the other people in the lab. 'I wonder what they got...' he thought to himself.

Steffy bows a little to the guy she had run into, then rushes around him, looking for Elm. "Professor Elm! Professor Elm!!" she calls.

Professor Elm looked up from the microscope he was looking in and looked around adjusting his glasses before spotting a girl approaching him. "Yes?" he said.

Steffy runs up to Elm, and reaches around in her bag, then pulls out an envelope. "I-I have a letter for you from the Kimono Girls."

Steffy stands there, then looks at her Cyndaquil, who was tugging on her socks. "Oh! Right! We should get moving!" she says, before bowing respectfully to Elm. "Thank you very much for my Pokemon. I'll take good care of him." she says, before rushing out of the lab.

Steffy looks at the guy who had approached her, and smiles. "That's right! I just got my first Pokemon." she says, tilting her head a little. "What's your name? Mine is Steffy!"

Steffy looks around, then looks back at Javon, waiting for an answer. The Cyndaquil tugs at her socks, and points to Boris. Steffy looks down at him, and pats his head. "Yes, I noticed he's a new trainer too, but pointing is rude."
