(If this needs to be moved, go ahead and move it ^^ Wasn't really sure where to put this.) Do any of you actively strive for cuteness? I do! It's been a goal of mine ever since seeing my kawaii idol, Reni Mimura. Every since then, I've been trying to gain more confidence in order to be more cheerful and cute. I've been doing this by wearing cuter clothes (less black- I still wear black but I try not to as often. You can wear black and be cute, but it's my personal choice to move away from my past!) and taking better care of myself. In particular, skin, hair and diet- general appearance.
How about any of you? Do you aim to be cute, or is it just how you are? Or is it a part of another lifestyle, like lolita? ^^

I think this thread is fine where it is <3
I like to be cute and young. Even though I'm going to be 20 everyone thinks I'm much younger, which I don't mind. I always feel like a cute little girl, so I embrace it. I like being kawaii by just saying how I feel and enjoying the little things in life that make me happy heart
Also like to dress in frilly cute clothes like I'm a doll. Living kawaii is just more or less being happy with who you are, inside and out >w<

The way that I dress and the things that I like are extensions of who I am on the inside. heart
The whole reason I'm attracted to supercute, sweet things is because being surrounded with such things make me happy.
On the inside, I believe myself to be a princess. It doesn't matter that I work crappy part-time retail work or pay bills and grocery shop just like every other human on Earth. I curl my hair and paint my nails and wear bows and pretty skirts while I do it, and that transforms my naive dream world into reality, and I'm happy there.
Thank you for sharing that Reni site! I will absolutely give it a looking-over!
A blog that I love to read is The Princess Portal. There are so many gorgeous articles about incorporating princesslike ideals into your life (in simple, realistic ways), that I could never possibly pick just one to name here as a perfect example. Read over the list of articles and you are bound to find several that will catch your interest.

轻言细语 孔明 The land is united at last....No, the land was always as one.... Well, all I can say is have fun delving into the lifestyle! I'm a 20 year old girly boy and lots of people think I'm way younger than that just in general, I have a habit of Queening out a bit when I want to look cute, which doesn't help my case much. razz
It was man who has been divided....

Well, my life doesn't always revolve around cute things, you see. I'm heavily influenced by Dir en grey and visual kei fashion, but it doesn't stop me from eating some cute cnady or buying pocky while in a skirt and eating it while i make "japanese" faces. See, i am a Dir en grey street team leader, as well as an An Cafe admin on facebook. I stay in touch with these styles, as well as lolita, decora, and cyber gothic. I like gothic and punk as well. Colors aren't usually in my typical style of dress, but they sometimes appear if i am willing. There are alot of things i like, some of them just seem to be cute. ^0^ I like to make people feel happy about themselves. That is also a part of my cuteness. I smoke, and people sometimes think of that as "un-cute". It's a part of my lifestyle, just like all the other things. I like to be cute in my own way, i'm sure you can understand that.

Does anyone else act kawaii as well? There's times in my life (usually when I'm with my fiance`) that I feel all bubbly and I blush and make sounds....
Like... when I'm not really sure what to say, instead of 'uh' I usually say my favorite word 'eppu' (eep-ooh) I think I got the idea to replace the word from reading so much manga, but it is my own made up word.
Sometimes I say 'nyaa' too, only cause I've been said to act like a cat. Which is weird, but, I don't mind. I suppose deep down I'm a cat-girl ^w^

Lolz. Indeed. Kitties united <3
I think also with enjoying being cute and little, you also have to ignore the people who don't quite get the styles or the culture. Unfortunately.
I wish other people could feel how I feel... you know? Just be happy. But bah, I love the way I am. X3

I love cute stuff, but I'm kindof a clutz and I'm afraid if I ever went "Loli-life" I would just end up wasting money on all the pretty expensive clothes cause I'd have to replace all the ones i'd accidently stain or tear.. crying

I'm usually outgoing and I would hate to ruin one of my pretty dresses... probably a good reason to be a closet Loli, lol.

I try to be cheerful and happy when I can. I am disabled and have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, so life can be very depressing for me. In an attempt to combat my depression, I strive to find the happiness in myself and my surroundings.
I will be 25 in August, but most people assume I am a teenager because of cheerfulness and playful clothes (my being short and having a round face helps, too!).
I think we need to have fun where we can in life, and clothes should help us celebrate our happiness instead of frustrate us. I love my kawaii clothes and my fun way of dressing, and I try to bring the cheerfulness they give me and turn that in to confidence and a happiness I can share with others.
Now if only I could do something about my frumpy hair... :/

I am EXTREMELY clumsy and the worst that's ever happened was an unfortunate encounter between a poof-petticoat-infused skirt and a precariously placed water cup, lol. Oh, and I shut my skirt in car doors a lot. -____-;
