Intellegence & insanity are two sides of the same coin. Do you agree with this statement?

No. Not at all. I myself, an quite intelligent, yet at the same time, I am completely insane. Some of you might have witnessed this phenomenon. Have you not? Lol.

insanity is in the eye of the beholder, many scientists have been ridiculed by their theories over the centuries and even labelled crazy because people didnt understand the depths of the intellect of their findings. though i guess one could go insane if you could not find anoher person on the same intellectual level you are on to converse or interact with si i guess it really comes down to the person.

They found scientific proof that schizophrenia is caused by the same mutation that causes people to understand higher abstract math (like einstein scale).
The mutation on the gene is the same coding for both, thus resulting in both in most cases. They found this out for sure when they released a medicine that suppresses the effects of schizophrenia by more or less deactivating that part of the gene. The problem is that it also blocks the ability to do higher level math.
That's common sense. When drugged up for any reason, thinking is hard.

The saying "great minds think alike" is both wrong and right.
We all agree on one thing, at least...whether we know it or not...
We love to argue.

n7aphasia Intellegence & insanity are two sides of the same coin. Do you agree with this statement? I do not and WILL not agree with that statement. Its not two sides of the same coin. Intellgence only couse pain. for the person and people who are around them. often people who ARE intellgence are arrogent. They see as they are ABOVE everyone - and in a way they are, since they think diffterently then everyone else. you could ALMOST call it a god complex. the guy or female then once he/she figures out they ARE god or godress will do something really stupied and in the end they end up i lot of S**T. And for insanity -- well thats for THE DAMNED. some have normal live then something will turn they lives upside down. shocked and upset they inventurally become angry (or insan) and to GET RID of that angry they will ethier do one of 2 things. the first track after that person that made them angry in the first place --REVANGE-- and when they found that person well...lets just say a big show down. or secound dump their feelings on the people around them. and thats a nightmare. so i would say that Yes one could run into the other. you could even have both at the same time. but intellegence and insanity will never be two sides of the same coin, penny, doller, cent or dime.

Those were both incredibly dull generalizations, and went against the rules of the guild. I'll let it off with a warning. Please don't insult anyone of any creed, religion, race, or level of intelligence/sanity again. You've been warned.
While I appreciate your attempt to contribute to the conversation, you went about it in a very asinine way, and failed to realize that you have insulted people in the process. Don't let it happen again.

I wasnt offended by your post though, I just dont understand since it makes no sense. and you did indeed generalize, like if intelligent people were bound to be bad person...wich is not true, and vice versa for the insanity.

I agree with that statement entirely. For all our intelligence, human beings have got to be the most technically insane species on the planet.

I at once had 12. One was female. It was confusing. Now there's me, and 3 others.
