Not a simple question at all, unless you're musically speaking, in which case, What Is Love? by Night At The Roxbury.

I take it we share a broken heart in common, though, if you'd ask that question otherwise.

Amen to that. Women are the superior species.

[[I'll admit it, I hate my gender. Most of us are blubbering idiots. However, women can be just as bad as men at times.]]

Love is...complicated. It's most likely one of the strongest sources of negativity in our world. Hate. Jealousy. Envy. Depression.

It also causes other emotions. Happiness among them.

But, there is one thing love creates that spawns an endless cycle of discord: security.

To feel secure and have that security torn away is the most devastating of all feelings, and Love is among the most common of times where this occurs.


To those who have never been loved, life feels as hellish as it does for those who have been loved and cast aside.

However, it is not. To be cast aside in such a manner is the single most painful experience one can feel, whether they know it or not, whether they show it or not.


Love...cannot truly be defined. Some argue it is just chemical reactions in the brain. Others argue it's pure and not that simple. Some say it's not that complex.


The trick behind love...is that no one will ever feel the same about it. No one can ever match another's love to the truest extent. No one can ever understand love, and no one should ever be expected to describe it.


Still, this is among life's most curious mysteries: we continue to question love, and that action itself it both counter-intuitive and meaningless...and yet...we continue to amaze with our poetic attempts at describing the emotion that truly makes us feel alive and safe.


To define love as something only some people will feel is false...one can not look for love, but must stumble upon it. Looking for love is tantamount to searching for power. Those who lust after something will only lead to their own destruction, and cause more harm than good.

all around the world the are male and female genius some have done really brave things others invented great scitific objects.

but thats not what i mean.....look for me i had boy crashes. and when i tell them i have feelings for them the turn me down. im not the prettyist person I DO realise that. and i personally hate the way i look....

---anyhow these males that reject me stright away turn to beautiful sexy females WITH LOOKS but in the end its all the same -- the males dumped by sexy female when really if they went out with the ugly, shy, female in the end would treat that male much better and for a longer time....

and none of thoses males ever made that choice......do you see what i mean now?

My girlfriend is decently cute, in my opinion. But, because my body is frail and I've learned I care more for personality...

Well, that's the point. If I fell in love with a person's personality, their image would mean next to nothing to me. I'll admit, my alter ego (as I have Split Personality Disorder), would make my life hell, but I would endure it for whom I love.

I have Borderline Personality Disorder, which means I always feel emotions at a more amplified level. When I get my heart broken, I REALLY get my heart broken. I'd like to think that having felt that level of emotional trauma has made me a better individual as far as love goes; appearance is definitely not important, although it's a definite plus. I know what pain feels like, and I know I wouldn't want to inflict that upon others. So when it comes to relationships, I try my best, fix mistakes if I make them, or help the partner to heal and move on if it must end.

Also, might I say we have several geniuses in this guild. You know who you are; give yourselves a round of applause.
