 Prestidigitaton[A modicum of Magic]• • • • • • • • • • • • • • •  As you make your way closer to the desk, you find a small, leather bound journal sitting on it, next to several small trinkets and a rather shiny looking pen.
Taking a closer look at the journal, you find it delicately decorated, carved, or burned with the image of a tree. A large silver button with ribbon keeps the journal shut though as you open it to turn to the first page, you see a small venetian mask scribble next to an awkwardly written name;

Calander[Time]• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • February 2010 21st ::Met my momma, Aderyn, who gave me an AWESOME mask before taking me home!
23rd::Went to the park and met Anox! He's my friend now. Also having a sleep over at greenhairs place. Lookieh! I kin write! March 2010 1st::S'a new month! Momma said something about time changes soon...I's also been gettin better at readin an writin!
5th::Went to a tea party, met lotsa people!
19th::Went on an adventuuuree!
23rd::Went shoppins, got new clothes. Momma said I grew. [Giovanni became a child.] April-July 2010 Stuff happened!
Anox came back!

Though due to his current lack of motor control and inability to be rather stealthy, he can be easily seen and thwarted a good majority [82.2%] of the time.Level 2|With a sleight of hand, Giovanni can steal Two small items from a person, small being no larger than a DVD case OR no heavier than 3/4ths of a pound [and it can be no bigger than 12x12 inches]. Though due to his current lack of motor control and inability to be rather stealthy, he can be easily seen and thwarted a good majority [72.6%] of the time.Level 3|With a sleight of hand, Giovanni can steal three small items from a person, small being no larger than a wii OR no heavier than two pounds [and it can be no bigger than 15x15 inches]. He can also only mimic them for no more than Thirty seconds and he can only mimic three times a day. If he tries to mimic more than three times a day, there is a 90% chance he will pull a muscle, loose his voice, or have a sore throat depending on who he mimicked and if he mimicked their voice, movements, or both.Level 2|With this skill, Giovanni can mimic the voice of and movements of someone he's been around for awhile. Minimum length of time he needs to be around someone to be able to mimic them: Two and a quarter days days, or a total of 58 hours. When its night or it's dark and there is no source of light [if theres a full moon or close to it, he can see better than if there wasn't] it takes him at least twice as long to adapt to the dark environment. Compared to human beings, where it takes us five to ten minutes to adapt to a dark area, it takes Giovanni ten to twenty minutes to adapt.

My Room:: Momma gave me this room, so I consider it a gift but everything inside is a possession.
Bracelet:: A simple gold bangle given to him by Adeline, there was a tiny 'A' engraved on the side of it - obviously for her name.

Other Information: A repost of my Response to the 'Flatsale' Prompt. Giovanni is the new Meta in place of my old one, Zypher. Aderyn sighed softly as she stood there, leaning against the desk, idling in the lobby of the Academy that she had been said to go to if she wanted a child that was... 'different'. 'Of course I want a child that was different, but aren't they all?' she thought to herself as she waited for the paperwork to be finished, having just signed her proper name and not her pen name, which she occasionally did out of habit, and then handed it back off to the nice lady behind the desk. Rubbing her tired blue eyes, Aderyn looked around the lobby, her mind still a little fuddled from just getting back from a trip from Venice to see their yearly festival.
"Miss... Pseudonymous, correct?" The lady behind the desk asked as she walked back over, a calming smile on her lips as she asked.
Aderyn nodded, "That's correct. It's a hard name to say, I know." she chuckled before stretching and standing up properly, "I hope I signed everything correctly. Dotted every i and crossed every t." She mused, getting a quiet laugh from the other lady who just nodded before handing a fresh copy of the paperwork over. "So... I get to take care of a kid..." Aderyn murmured to herself, jumping a little when she felt a tug at her pant leg, not expecting someone to do such, not to mention she was a tad jumpy after her flight. Turning around, her blue eyes met those of a small boy who was barely tall enough to see higher than Aderyns knees.
"Is..this him..?" She asked the woman behind the counter, who just nodded in response. Smiling, Aderyn turned around before kneeling down, wanting to get on an eye level with the boy. "Hey there sweety, whats your name?" she asked, though she was only greeted with a cute pout and a soft whimper from the boy, who tugged at his 'mothers' backpack, wanting to get a closer look at the thing that was latched onto it. Blinking, Aderyn soon smacked her forehead, having forgotten she had placed the last mask she bought in Venice on the front of her backpack. Taking the bag off her shoulders and sliding it to the ground, she unhooked the elastic of the mask and held it in her hands, so the boy could see. "I see you're a fan of the venetian masks as well, kiddo!" she smiled, watching the boys eyes widen as he saw the detal work of the raven like venetian mask.
Slowly, he looked up at Aderyn, his eyes still wide as he looks at her with those big, puppydog eyes which were hard to say 'no' to. Shaking her head and laughing softly, she handed the mask over to the boy before ruffling his hair and standing back up to talk to the woman behind the desk, wanting to find out of the kid had any food allergies or anything like that. "So ---" Aderyn began, though she stopped when she noticed an odd amount of light behind her, making her turn around, though as she did she had to squint. After a few seconds, the light died down and the boy stood there, the mask was gone from view though his eyes seemed to be an unnatural bright gold color.
"Holy s-- cow.." Aderyn shouted, pressing herself against the desk, her own eyes wide in shock, "What the heck happened?!" she asked, looking from the boy to the woman behind the desk, both of them just smiling.
"This is what people mean by 'different', Miss Pseudonymous. You should give the boy a name, he doesn't have one yet." The woman chuckled softly, finally opening her own eyes, which seemed to be glowing softly as well. Gulping slightly, Aderyn nodded quickly before trying to calm herself down, wanting to give this strange little 'glowing boy' a proper name.
"A name a name..whats in a name.." She whispered to herself, mulling over several names but before she could say one, the boy spoke up;
"Gee oh vah nee" He said softly, in a very childlike name.
"Gee-..." Aderyn started to repeat it before it dawned on her, "Giovanni! Oh that was the name of the mask maker, he signed his name on that mask, did you read it?" She asked quickly, everything she was saying seemed to be sped up quite a bit faster than normal, making it hard for the boy to even faintly grasp what she was saying, though he just shook his head.
"Me Geeohvahnee!" He said again, smiling brightly.
Aderyn just chuckled a little before looking at the strange lady behind the desk, who had mysteriously vanished while she had been talking to the boy. "A-ahuh.. Giovanni.. uhm.. lets..lets get you home.. Momma needs some sleep.." She said softly, picking her backpack back up and stuffing the paperwork into it before grabbing Giovannis hand and walking off.
