Powered quest for Darwin Okun.

Senshi: Sailor Jabberwock, Senshi of the Bizarre

Concept: Jester/Shakespeare + Tim Burton's Mad Hatter = Jabberwock

Appearance:

  • Colors: Green should be one of the colors (main or accent, doesn't matter), and either purple or orange should be the other color (yes, they're meant to clash). Exact shade/tone - jewel-tone, dusty, etc. - up to artist.
  • Bodice: Old-fashioned coat or doublet or something.
  • Skirt: POOFY SHORTS. Must have ridiculous poofy shorts! Maybe some tights too?
  • Collar: CC
  • Gloves: CC if any
  • Shoes: Some sort of funny little shoe, old-fashioned and/or jester-y.
  • Tiara: CC
  • Bows: CC
  • Brooch: CC
  • Choker: CC
  • Other: Maybe a hat? >o> Otherwise CC.

Challenge: Ni!

Attacks: Jabberwock is a superior distraction maker, because while his attacks don't cause serious harm, they are quite adept at messing with people's minds because they are not illusions. The effects are temporary, but quite real while they last!

Note: The final effects/hallucinations of these attacks are up to the victim's player, so long as they fit the established parameters. This is your chance to mess with your character!

Regular Attack: Jabberwock Bizarre Affliction <- Bizarre in a "... you're joking." sort of way
  • Description: Jabberwock throws a handful of confetti in his colors at his target. After a 2-3 second delay, the effects finally appear.
  • Effects: Although the exact effect is up to the victim’s player, it must be a painless, physical manifestation that would at worst be a minor inconvenience. Typically it will be something childish, comical, or prank-like. Examples would be someone’s skin becoming sparkly, or sprouting a large handlebar mustache.
  • Range: Confetti-throwing distance, so 6 foot maximum range.
  • Target: Single target, but can affect anyone.
  • Uses: Twice per battle
  • Duration: 15 seconds. After that, everything goes back to how it was, like a "Reset" button was pushed.

Super Attack: Jabberwock Superbious Ailment <- Bizarre in a " WTF!? Not cool!" sort of way
  • Description: Jabberwock throws a handful of confetti in his colors at his target. After a 2-3 second delay, the effects finally appear.
  • Effects: Exact effect are still up to the victim’s player, and they still must painless, physical manifestations. Now however they’re not so funny though, and might actually be a hindrance. Appropriate example effects would be a person’s thumbs falling off – no pain or blood, just… yeah – putting on 50 pounds of fat, etc.
  • Range: Confetti-throwing distance, so 6 foot maximum range.
  • Target: Single target, but can effect anyone.
  • Uses: Twice per battle
  • Duration: 30 seconds. After that, everything goes back to how it was, like a "Reset" button was pushed.

Eternal Attack: Jabberwock Bizarreness Amplification <- Bizarre in a "AAAAAH!" sort of way.
  • Description: Jabberwock spews a swarm of buzzing, black, glittery hearts that fly at the target. If they hit, they vanish in a puff of dark glitter and the effects appear after a 2-3 second delay.
  • Effects: Exact effect up to victim’s player, but it must be a physical manifestation. The effects of his previous two attack could be ignored or worked around, but that's much harder now, and unlike his other two attacks, this attack can cause pain. In addition, even after the main effects “reset” the player has the option for damage to remain. For example, the victim’s hand might grow a fanged mouth that bites/attacks them. The bites would hurt, and even after the effects “reset” and the mouth vanishes, the victim’s player can choose to have the bite wounds remain.
  • Range: 7 foot maximum range.
  • Target: Single target, but can affect anyone.
  • Uses: Once per battle
  • Duration: 30 seconds. After that, the major effects are "reset," but some damage may linger, i.e. the hand-fangs would vanish but the bite wounds might remain.

Going to try to get him as a Corrupt so he can be one of Lyssa's little monsters, but might switch to DMC depending on gold/patience/etc. xD

Holy Blasphemy

Hi Holy! Looks like your civ is all approved and in play, so let’s take a quick look at this Senshi side!

First off, I love the combination of sphere and name! The Jabberwock is definitely a pretty bizarre critter.

For his fuku, since you’ve left it mostly CC, I’d just like to point out a few things he’d definitely have to have – DMC senshi must have bracers of some sort and also the overlay.

Ordinarily I’d be a little concerned about the effects being real; since you’ve included a reset, so it’s not some permanent weirdness, though, it should be alright – there’d really be no qualitative difference in it being an illusion here, I don’t think. However, I’d prefer if you specified exactly how long the delay is between his attack hitting and the effect taking place! You say “a couple seconds” – is that two seconds? Five? Usage limits would be great too – how many times can he do this per battle? Also, in his Eternal attack, you don’t mention that the effects “reset”; the really weird stuff does, though, yes? I.e. person’s skin doesn’t stay melted, hand-mouth re-vanishes, etc.

Other than that, you seem to have everything covered!

Songstress Kitsune

I think I've addressed everything now:
- Uses are 2-2-1.
- 2-3 second delay.
- For Eternal, reset on major effect, but side effects can stay at victim's discretion.

I've put him as a Corrupt now as I'd like to try to get him for Lyssa's team. I assume that other then a couple of outfit requirements - most of which I've left CC - and the rarity of Corrupts, there's no differences between the two that I'd need to address.

While I like the theme, and the name, and the attack concepts, as well as player freedom - you do need to be a bit more specific as to the parameters of the attack itself for it to be stampable.

That is to say, rather than just an example, tell us specifically what kind of change they're going to see happen to them.

So, give us a broad explanation of what the attack does - that for the duration it changes their body within these parameters [different degrees of change and time limits for each level of attack], and then provide your specific example.

We get the impression that something has to happen to their body physically, from the examples, but it's not actually required in the language of the attack. Does that make sense?

Okie-dokie, I've made some changes. Is that better, or more needed?
