Il'raz Name: Il'raz; Iloraz before impression Age: 14 Gender: male Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Craft: none Rank: Jr. Weyrling Appearance: Iloraz is still rather little, as he hasn't begun to grow much at all, despite his fourteen turns. He stands only a inch or two above five feet, and has a rather average build. It is likely that once he hits a growth spurt, he'll shoot up at least half a foot, if not more. His hair is a muddy brown, and shaggy, falling into his eyes. It is just long enough to look like he needs a haircut, but not long enough that he will actually go and get one.His eyes are a plain brown, and they delight in mischievous twinkles of laughter and dares. This is a boy that looks like he's either up to something, been up to something, and is about to be up to something all at the same time. Personality: Iloraz is the type of person that's always in the middle of things, whether he's wanted or not, and will happily take charge if no one else is. He's loud, energetic, and way too friendly for his own good. He's not one to hide his intentions, and if he's up to something, you'll probably know about it. He does have trouble taking things seriously though, and tends to treat everything as a game. He does have a protective streak, but only towards a few people. The rest of the world is on their own. He does what he wants, when he wants to, and if he doesn't find it interesting, well, then it's boring and needs spicing up. Iloraz has been labeled as a trouble maker, though he really isn't. He just doesn't understand moderation. He's the type of person that will try everything once, no matter what the consequences. History: Iloraz is the product of a mating flight pairing. He never really got to know either his bluerider father, I'laz or his mother, and has grown up living a typical weyrbrat's life. He was fostered to his father's sister, Lorana, one of the workers in the creche. He is the youngest of the children that she has fostered, and she is rather protective of him. She has encouraged him to follow his dream of becoming a dragonrider, and will be proud of him no matter if he impresses or not. Now, he has impressed the Green Betteth, and is eagerly looking forward to weyrling training.

Personality
Today Betteth wants. . . well, she isn’t sure, really! In fact, this green is never much sure of anything for very long. The fact the world is always changing fascinates her, and she’s worried she just can’t keep up! With all of these variables, it’s only natural that Betteth has a personality to match.
One day, she’s the outgoing girl who wants to save the Weyr. The next, she has decided she’s going to be the quiet, observant watcher. And each time she does the personality switch, she learns something new, isn’t that great? Of course, she’s also very worried that you don’t like this new face of hers. Did you like her better yesterday or today? Betteth wants to know so she can figure out what she wants to act like all the time.
And that is the kind of dragon Betteth is under the surface. She wants to make everyone happy, especially Hers and she always thinks there’s one, perfect way to do something and will go to great lengths to find it. If she’s not on one of her “personality experimentation” days, expect her to ask a lot of questions about how you are feeling and why and if she has anything to do with it.
If you like her, she is flattered, and if you don’t, then she has to follow you around the whole Weyr trying to find out why. If someone says she talks too much, Betteth will make sure she is quiet, she promises! All this interaction makes her, you guessed it, a natural social butterfly who moves from group to group with enthusiastic ease whether they like her or not.
It’s common of her to forget Hers is there, but rest assured, she always remembers. She forgets about Hers during Flights more often than anytime else, because Betteth just loves the idea of flights. All of those male dragons flying just to try and catch her makes her ego soar and her secret, slight insecurity dissolve for just a moment. Hers may find themselves waking up in strange places often when Betteth becomes of age, but she will always apologize profusely if it happens to be that one person Betteth promised never to fly. And she is very sorry, but Betteth simply can’t wait up for the world to catch up to her excitement and ever-changing self. Hopefully Hers will not hate her, but she wouldn’t be mad at Hers if they were a little bit upset.Views on Clutchmates
Betteth would very much like to meet every single one and have a friendship with all of them as well. Although she normally shouldn't pick favourites, she very much enjoys Cavumuth's company, and thinks that they are best friends.
It sounds like an appropriate term to her. Don't you think so, too? More than anything else, she wants acceptance from her brother's and sister's. She'll try extra-hard in their presence to fit to their ideals and make them happy. She really hopes Hers can make friends with all Theirs as well. They are like extended family, after all.Why Me? Betteth always wants to be in the middle of things and Iloraz always is in the middle of things! The excitement of potential social gatherings immediately caught Betteth's interest when it came to Iloraz. They can be more than friendly together, and by the a sevenday's end, you can bet that more than half the Weyr will know their name one way or another.
Although Betteth may not realize it, she needs a rider to help make up for the insecurities that lie underneath her outward persona. Iloraz will keep Betteth safe. With her ever adapting personality, she's easily taken advantage of by other dragons. Iloraz will be there to put his foot down and keep her in the right crowd of people even if she can't distinguish who's good and bad herself.

Canadian Leopard Frog
The Northern Leopard Frog is Native to parts of Canada and the United States. In fact, it is the state Amphibian for both Minnesota and Vermont. They aren’t a very picky species of frog, living in several types of areas with lots of aquatic vegetation.
In the 1970s, the frog was threatened with various types of pollution and acid rain which caused several populations to dwindle to a point where they have not yet recovered. Their diet normally consists of insects, although their large mouth allows them to eat some types of snakes and birds as well.
Interesting factoid: Some of the enymes that female frogs produce in their egg cells may be potentially used as treatments for types of cancer.

Impression Dragonriders of Pern Shop While the blue was busy finding himself a lifetime companion, another egg twitched. It was a slight movement made so quickly that had anyone not been looking, they would not have noticed the Grey Speckled Egg.
It quickly ceased after this, and for a moment, there was nothing but stillness in the clutch. Then, without warning, the egg gave a heavy lurch. It flipped over from one side to the other, now facing the clutch instead of pointing away from it. In a shatter of shells, a hole was punched through and a dark, back foot with white tipped claws poked out of the shell.
The color was yet hard to tell. Another blue? A very small, dark brown? Maybe it was a green.
As if in response to this, the Pink Charcoal Egg began to sway too and fro. It rocked heavily for quite some time, before cracks began to appear and a green head poked itself out of the shell tentatively. She rolled away from the blue-colored egg near her and then pulled herself out quickly, stumbling over herself only once before heading with a trotting gate to the girls.
From the Grey Speckled Egg there was no further response. It simply stayed still, the foot still partially out of the shell. moonlit-raven Now that it was official time, Iloraz was nervous. He bounced in place for a moment, watching as first the bronze hatched, though it was yet to find his partner, and then as the blue impressed Folen. He was pleased about that, Folen deserved a dragon if anyone did, though he had thought that the other boy might have gotten something more than just a blue, but the dragons knew who was best for them. That was just how it was. He briefly glanced at the green, but when she moved over towards the girls, his eyes flickered to the Grey Speckled Egg, with the foot poking out. It wasn't moving, not really. That certainly didn't look good. Hopefully it wasn't dead, but he knew that it was a possibility. "Please be okay," he whispered. Dragonriders of Pern Shop Despite how the little green tried to be graceful, she stumbled now and then. Quite a few young girls would get bruises on their legs from where the green stumbled and bumped into their bodies.
As young dragonets went, however, she was as gently as could be, and as she passed by the girls, she nudged her nose into their arms and hands.
It was when she got halfway through this group that she left out a long, high-pitched croon of delight and bounded her way through the remaining female candidates. She paused for a moment as she barelled through one, giving them a squeak of surprise and being more careful in the remaining sprint.
Straight to the boys that little green dragon went, and when she found Hers, she did a quick circle in front of him before sitting down as polite as could be.
Why are you looking all the way over there, Ilorazmine? I am here! She cocked her head to the side, as if waiting for his approval and added. Your Betteth wants to ask Skananth how the meat is. Let's hurry! moonlit-raven All thoughts of the grey speckled egg flew out of his mind as the little green bounded away from the girls and sat down in front of him. The little green bounded off, towards her sibling and the feeding table, looking back to make sure that Iloraz was following her. Come on mine!
