The Mist Administration Building, here new shinobi come to meet their village leader, and get their headband, to officially become a member of the village. The Mizukage's Office is within this large building. All village matters should be addressed here with the Mizukage.

Zaine opened the door to the office of the Mizukage, a soft squeak opening up to the soundless darkness and desolation within, never again would the laughter of Rei Shigure dance off it's walls, nor would her famous temper grace the windows with a powerful kick.
"What did you want Elder?" Zaine mumbled, already knowing the nature of his visit.

The sliding feet of the elder could be heard as he walked the sloped walkway to the office. He was the first to arrive, with Zaine following and Karin after him. The small old man, had once been a great shinobi, but now he had retired and simply aided those in decision making.
Looking sternly at Zaine he grumbled, "You two best get the village ready for a funeral. As you have guessed, your mentor died. Killed in the peace meeting along with the other kages, I heard..." The old man let out a grumble as he looked at Karin, he never liked her, she was too quiet, didn't seem like much of a shinobi to him.
"With the passing of the Mizukage, a new one must step up and take the place of the deceased. Rei had planned on making Hibari the Mizukage, but that was cancelled. He died during that mission instead. After that, Rei was debating whether or not to have you or her, take her place." The Elder went on as he coughed into his shaky, wrinkly hand.
"But, she didn't narrow it down to just one of you. Which is why I'm taking authority to choose. I'm thinking of the wellbeing of the village, with Zaine as the Mizukage, I see a prosperous Kirigakure. The village would be what it used to be before the Wars,"
"On the other hand, if another were to become the Mizukage... I wouldn't see much good..." The Elder looked at Karin with critical eyes, those eyes that Karin had always disliked, ever since she first saw them in the academy.
Those eyes that bore into her, always trying to find a small fault. Everytime she made a mistake, he'd point it out, making it seem worse than it was.
As Karin looked back at him, she finally given in, her mentor was gone. This wasn't a time for tears, they were discussing important matters. Important matters that dealt with the future of the village. No time for crying, not yet. Regardless of what she told herself, Karin dropped to her knees, crouching over herself and covering her face. Those tears she held back, were flowing, finally freed. "Rei-sensei..."

"NO!" Zaine shouted at the old man, lunging at the man and grabbing onto the robes of his office, lifting the elder off the ground. A rage borne of despair was blazing in his eyes, bordering on madness...
"No...." he whispered, realizing what he was doing and placing the man down, "My apologies Elder..." he said softly, his vision quickly clouding over with bitter tears, listening closely to what the man had to say. His tears stopped as soon as he heard mention of Hibari, a spark of anger coming into being as the Elder continued, the spark growing slowly, fanned by the glare of the Elder to Karin and the subtle, hidden insults to her within each word. "Karin....Karin would be a better Kage than I could ever be, and if you can't see that then you are blind old man, look at me, I lost Hibari! I'm unstable and you want me to lead the village?" He snarled, loosing on this man all the pain he held inside, behind that smile and the laughter he showed to Karin.
"Hibari Died because of MY poor leadership! MY pride, I was the one who insisted that Rei stayed here! Karin said we should have waited for the morning mist to clear but I, in my foolish self pride said no, 'We are right there, no big deal' he mocked himself with a spiteful laugh, his hurt plain on his face as tears began to run once more down his face unchecked, his shoulders heaving with a pitiful mix of derisive, uncontrolled laughter and soul tearing sobs, "No, K-karin i-i-is the new Kage, and if y-y-you have a prob-b-blem with that." he turned on the Elder, delivering a fierce glare through his tears, "I will end your doddering idiotic voice permanantly." he said softly, too softly for any bluff.

Appalled by the boy's sudden outrage the Elder was. Yet, his countenance showed no change at all. Even when the old man was lifted off the ground, no change. Except, a light chuckle, Zaine was strong like he expected, another reason why he should've been the next Kage.
Once the old man was released from Zaine's grasp, and was apologized to, he nodded, rubbing his throat softly with his rough, sand paper-like hands. Clearing his throat he looked at Zaine, dissappointed in his out burst of anger. "True... Learn to keep your anger at bay. It'd keep you out of trouble," The Elder agreed, yet still wanting for him to be the Kage.
After listening to Zaine's sobs he stared off, out of the window looking at the snow. "...Hm," He though out loud, still wishing it wasn't such a troublesome task to make Zaine the Mizukage. Then again, he wasn't going to change his mind. Karin, she was taking this more maturely than the Jounin boy, a surprise to the Elder. The quiet that filled the room as the Elder contemplated, it was a saddening silence.
Karin looked up at Zaine, wiping her tears. "...You think I should--" Her question was cut off by the Elder.
"Very well then, if you insist so much as to make her the Mizukage, that is fine. On one condition, Zaine. For I'm still wary of this girl to lead us, you'll be promoted, and will help her on her decisions, if need be..." The Elder said, as he looked at the Jounin female sitting on the ground looking up at the man The Elder was adressing. "Do you understand?" The Old man asked, returning his gaze to Zaine.
As the Elder awaited Zaine's answer, Karin stood up and looked at The Elder, whose gaze seemed to relax now. He was tense as well, he was greiving inside for Rei too, but his pride would not let him show it, not in their presence.
Then, Karin's eyes trailed to the window, the snow outside was still falling. So many memories were made with Rei-sensei during the years that they knew eachother. She was like a mother figure to Karin, to lose her, it was like her chest was being pressed on by tons of boulders. The pressure that was pushing on her chest, it hurt. Karin pursed her lips, unhappy with the days' events. But, as much as she wished to, the New Mizukage couldn't lock herself up for hours on end, she had duties to attend to. This was a vulnerable period for the village, and Karin, with the help of Zaine, has to guide the village out of this greiving period.
"Zaine Tsukioma, The new Sannin of Mist will aide me as the New Mizukage," Karin stated, answering for Zaine.

Zaine looked to Karin, tears still wet on his face and smiled, "I'm always here Karin, you know this." he said, casting a look to the Elder, he understood the man, but he wasn't going to forgive him at all. "Hibari and Rei will be smiling on you, you are the right choice for the village, and I am honored to serve under you." he said softly, grasping the new Mizukage into a tight embrace, "I'm proud of you Karin." he whispered.

Primavera-Ludovico Einaudi
The Elder grumbled under his breath as he walked out. "Remember... A Memorial service," he noted to the newly appointed Mizukage as he shut the door. Karin looked up and saw Zaine, to the familiar face she smiled, "That's right! We need to make a memorial service for Rei-sensei..." Already, Karin was growing nervous with this responsibility. But, Zaine's arms that embraced her, they comforted her, brought her to ease, with their warmth. She could tell that he was telling her the truth, that he would always be there, not that she doubted him. Slipping out of Zaine's arms Karin walked over to the desk that her sensei had once occupied. Her eyes analyzed every crack and indentation on the empty desktop, sometimes being present for the birth of the damages on the desk.
Realizing that she was spacing out, Karin shook her head and looked at Zaine, "The genin, we should gather them right?"
"It's sad, I've always dreamed of getting this high up the ranks of a shinobi... But I never thought it'd be like this," Karin smiled weakly as she glided over to Zaine's side, and grabbed his hand, to lead him. They'd tell the shinobi together.
Walking slowly out the door and to the Kaguya Cave. The eerie feel it brought, it always attracted the younger shinobi, so she assumed they'd be there too.

Karin arrived at the office, and it seemed Zaine, who she had accidentally left, had made it back to the office. Letting out a smile, she walked to the front of the desk. Not just yet, the Mizukage didn't want to sit at the desk yet, it still felt wrong for her to do so. As if Rei could walk in any minute and sit back in her designated spot at the desk. But that wouldn't happen, she passed away along with the other Kages.
While she waited for people to arrive in the office, Karin stood straight, serious, ready to give the news out to the shinobi. She put her hands in front of her body, when a few handfull of Jounin and Chuunin filed into the room. Seeing Karin in front of the desk instead of Rei they were confused. Now, all that was left was for the Genin to arrive. Then she would speak.

"Yo." Takeshi said. Somehow, he had managed to arrive almost right behind the woman. He walked into the office, and leaned back on one of the walls. He made sure that he was positioned so that there were chuunin and jounin in front of him, so that he couldn't be seen. Wait...chuunin and jounin? He quickly analyzed everyone's faces to see what they were feeling. "Hm...Most, confused. Boy, emotionally unstable. Girl, most likely unstable, but hiding her emotions. Hm..." He thought aloud.
"Did somebody die?"
Of course, he was just asking himself. He wasn't expecting an answer until all of the other gennin got here.
((Spacing it out to add dramaticness! xD))

Shimo entered the office with his hand behind his back pondering why would one call all the genin to this office. Shimo suspected that something serious has happened otherwise such a large group would have not been called upon. As he entered he noticed a woman and two males, one was Takeshi who he recently met and the woman he assumed was the one that called them. Resting his arms he sighed and asked, "Your the one that called us I assume. I take it your going to wait for the rest of us to join in before you state the matter." Looking behind him Shimo tilted his head then stated, "I'm afraid that might take awhile, but I am patient so I will wait." Shimo then began to rock back and forth causing the contents of his gourd to do the same. Since he was closest to it he could hear it splash and this entertained him slightly while he waited.

Genji quickly left Kaguya cave and headed to the Mizukage's office. During the trek, Genji thought about the Mizukage, Rei Shigure. There had not been any good scenerios of interaction with her, so he did not know her personally. However, her reputation was highly exalted. She was the sensei of Zaine and Karin. Her students reflected her excellence as a shinobi and a person. Maybe today would be the first time Genji would get to talk to her.
The snow was following, woefully caressing the village, which was silent. Genji couldn't help but feel a grip on his chest as he entered the Mizukage's office. That grip tightened to see so many of his fellow shinobi there too. It made him quite curious, but his nerves stifled the curiousity, muffling him. He did see Zaine there amoung the shinobi. Genji wasn't sure if he had seen him or not, yet Genji still smiled at him. There were no other smiles in the room, just tears. Genji felt so foolish for that smile and put it away immediately and entered a state of stillness and silence, waiting for whatever was to come.

The door opened, and in came a genin, he looked around the room to all the Chuunin, Jounin, and to Zaine and herself. Relieved that someone had heard her in the cave, she sighed with content and shut her eyes as she waited for the others.
"Did somebody die?" The genin who had just entered asked. Karin grew tense at the mention of death, yes. Someone had passed away. That's what she was going to address. Then, before Karin could ask for everyone to wait for the others, another genin entered. This one asked if she had called them here, to this, Karin simply nodded and let out a smile, small and forced, but a smile nonetheless.
"Yes, it will..." Karin nodded once more as she agreed to Shimo it would take awhile for all the genin to come to the office. Taking in a deep breath, Karin prepared herself, so that she could speak in front of these shinobi. Sure, she knew some of them, but, Karin couldn't help it, she barely ever spoke in front of people. Bringing her hand up she rubbed her forehead for she was slightly nervous. 'I do hope they arrive soon...' The newly appointed Mizukage thought.
As she dropped her hand from her forehead, she crossed them over and held her arms, as if to hold herself. It was a way to calm herself down. Another genin arrived, good. Only two or three more to wait for, then she could speak. Karin had time.
((Just to clear this up, Zaine and I are not your teachers yet. : ) But will soon be appointed as such. Also, the NPC Mizukage that died in the conference, is named Rei Shigure(just to give her an identity) ))

(Enter, Ronmaru, from Kaguya Cave.)
Ronmaru stepped in quietly, and stood next to the other Genin, waiting for a briefing on the reason that Karin had summoned them to this office. Then again....since when did Karin have the authority to summon them to the Mizukage's office......? And Ronmaru knew that Zaine and Karin were friends, but why the expressions on their faces?
Slowly, without Karin being able to tell them, the pieces slowly began to form together in his mind. He didn't say anything, but it explained why Karin and Zaine looked so depressed, and why Karin had the ability to summon them to the Mizukage's office.
"The previous Mizukage died...." Ronmaru thought to himself. "And the only reason Karin is able to summon us here without the Mizukage's permission is because she's the new Mizukage....." He shifted uncomfortably, as if it were an obvious giveaway that he knew what had happened.
(Ronmaru is abnormally intuitive, so just tell me if he can't learn through pure observation.)

Axel Tsukioma walked down the hallway to the Kage office. he simply stopped in front of the door and knocked three times before opening it. Axel walked into the room and noticed that there were more people here then he expected. 'damn... too many people... ill have to watch the perimeter more carefully in case of any attacks...' Axel thought to himself as he simply shut the door behind himself then went over and leaned against a wall. "Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu (Crow Clone Technique)" Axel mumbled quietly as he made the hand signs then summoned four Crow clones which took up positions in each corner of the room. "clone one, ready." the first clone spoke into its earpiece quietly. "clone two, all set." the second clone said into its earpiece as it blended in with the shadows in its corner. "clone three, ready to rock." the third clone said into its earpiece as it also blended in with the shadows. "clone four, ready." the final clone said as it blended in with the shadows in its corner. Axel grinned seeing as his clones were doing well to keep hidden. "all clones standby in case of an emergency." Axel whispered into his earpiece why he waited for the Mizukage to tell them all what the heck was going on.
