arrow Okay, I've read around, and as funny as it is, the Anti-Twilight guild is actually entertaining and it's a time consumer (I have to much time).

Well, I was thinking about this.

Who is more obsessive?

Us, or Them?

We, the Antis, who we think are the immune to the Twilight Craze (now becoming the Angel/Demon Craze {Legion. Blah, blah, blah...Supernatural, blah, blah, blah...you get the point}, are talking about the hatred or distaste we have against the article that should not be named...er...more than, two times. I mean, I said to my cousin today that I had such a large distaste in that book that should not be named more than twice that it could sit on her while she's swimming. (Back to the point, Forbidden). Anyway, as much as she laughed at the awkwardness of that, I got to thinking. Maybe...we're too set on hating the book. Maybe we're just trashing a piece of crap for good reason in our eyes, but it's completely irrlivant in the others. Then I thought about the Lovers of That Book.

We think that they are illiterate, immature, sunuvbishes that should grow up and snap the hell out of it before this sort of craze destroys the future. And, as well sounded that is, I admit, it's a little far-fetched, don't you think? I mean, after the Eclipse movie and the cast of that book is kicked back into invisible fame, the craze dwindles and thins until it's completely nonexistent. So, does it make it right for us to burn something that cost us roughly about twenty dollars when we could just refund it? I mean, it's not Hagrid's book for Christ's Sake. It can't jump up and rip our faces off or n** away at our ankles.

And, the people in the a In-Between.

They're probably laughing at our dumbasses for arguing over a book.

Well, that's kinda my opinion.

Well, everyone is different. Some antis are very obsessed with the series, and will bash it and think about it constantly. (That would be me.) Others are just mild antis who simply don't like the series and aren't very... outward about it. Same way with twitards. There are degrees of obsession. The most obsessed are the completely anti and the completely twitarded.

I would be the person who is silently laughing at the arguing sides. c':

I believe bouth sides are equaly obsessed.

And I guess I understand why the Twilight lovers are obsessed.
They like the books and/or movies and if you like something
you of course want too talk about it and such, god know I get obsessed over things I like occasionaly (currently Guillermo Del Toro movies)
of course I think some take it just a tad too far.
It's one thing too like it, it's a whole other thing too start hoping for your very own creepy stalker vampire too watch you while you sleep.
but then again I also think some Star Trek fans take it too far.

I also think Anti-Twilighters take it too far.
Disliking something is one thing,
but I honestly don't get how one can be bothered too spend so much time on it.
But then again, if people are just downright enjoying themselfs flaming the books, I do not see any reason why they shouldnt.
I watch bad movies since I like making fun of them, so too some extend I understand the reason for it.
I do however think that flaming and just being downright mean too someone simply for liking a book series is a bit too much.
But hey, that's just me.

I personaly don't like what I've read of the books,
and I dislike the fact that they have gotten so much attention when much better books and movies go unnoticed.

But do I hate them?
Not really, I can't really be bothered too feel anything stronger then dislike and a mild annyoance over them.

I also don't have anything against twilight fans,
and I rather dislike the thought of bouth assuming everyone who reads the books is an illiterate moron, and flaming people for liking them.

Since really, it's just a matter of personal taste which people have every right of having.

So yes.
I tend to find bouth extremes a bit silly.
One for obsessing over something that is at best mediocre writing
and the latter obsessing over other people liking something they don't.

But hey, as long as bouth sides are having decently harmless fun while obsessing, why not just continue being obsessed since it's obviously working for them.

For every Twitard there's an Anti-Twitard (Antard?).

There are different levels. I really dislike Twilight but it doesn't rule over my brain. I'll only bring it up if someone else starts a conversation about it. Other than that my life is free of it. Even on here I don't think about it that much, I just like talking to you guys.

I know a girl at my school whose every sentence is about Twilight or relating Twilight to whatever it is that's going on at class, and I know people who take every chance they can to bash it. It's just human behavior in my opinion, and just the level at which the person's opinion is.

I bash it when the ripest opurtunity appears, but most of the time I'm too preoccupied doing impressions of people to notice.

I agree with the two above statements. As for me, I dislike the book series very much but I don't sit aroud thinking of new ways to bash it. If anything, if I end up in a debate over it, I will argue very passionately, with as much facts as I can dig up about my disdain for it and why feel that way.

I only bash it when given the opportunity.
Unless I'm trolling in Towns.

Excuse me as I go off on a rant.

Luckily for me, I'm at University right now and hardly ever hear about the thing, so I've mellowed out a whole bunch in the past year or so. I now see the books/movies/atrocities as something to simply avoid, and I should inform people about it if they do not quite know what they're dealing with if they are thinking of getting into it.

When people of my gender, however, try to pick up girls by saying, "So, you like Twilight, huh?" THAT is when I get pissed off. And I get even more pissed off when the girl agrees, since she's probably only in on it because Twilight's popular right now and the actors in the movies are hot.

I overheard my roommate's friend list off Valentines Day ideas for a girl the friend likes, and he said that getting her to watch Twilight with him was at the top of his list. If I weren't playing a game on my laptop, and if my laptop did not hold many precious things inside it, I would have thrown it at him.

tl;dr version: I still think that Twilight sucks, I'm just not as vocal or as passionate about it as most people here.

I only mention it when I see something about it; ie when it's brought up.

I hate Twilight about as much as I love Warcraft.

For me the guild is a refuge/place to hang with like-minded people; most of my friends/ family members/ coworkers like the damn series. I don't hate and stew about it 24/7; only when the topic comes up in conversation.

I tried explaining the faults to my dad and he just got frustrated and said that antis are worse than the rabid fans because all we need to do is just stop bitching about it, the fans and get over it. "If it's as terrible as you say it is, then don't read it. That simple." is what he snarked at me.

Same here.

However, I think it's time to put the impression of me as some rabid antard to the grave already, because I'm not a simple antard, nor an antard for that matter.

I defend the disdain for Twilight with reason in a debate. However, I do that to the Twihards and their ilk, because it's a lot better. Besides, why would I attack the decent ones in the fanbase?

I don't think anyone was speaking directly to you about being an antard but it's true, you really come off strongly as a rabid anti.
