I don't know if deleting this would be a good idea..I mean, maybe new people that don't know so much about japanese fashion, etc will go here....I dunno,but...I think you should not delete it X_X

Another new emerging style is Dolly Style (kinda like Classic loli and mori girl smushed together.) Go check out the post either at at Caro-Chan's blog, F*** Yeah Lolita or my most recent post on my blog, Fairy Cakes and Candy Floss. Not even that much of a shameless plug. I truly love this style!

Ooh that's really pretty. Looks more like... a royal kind of style. When I think of dolly I think like pale skin, loli dresses, stiff outfits... but that's completely different lol

As far as subcultures are concerned the Gyaru subculture is very prevalent, especially in Shibuya, but the popularity of the different styles within the "Gyaru" style (hime, kogal, ganguro, yamanba, banba, ect.) change from year to year... ^_^ But, like lolita, "Gyaru" is a lot more than just they clothes they're wearing, it's the attitude/mannerisms, the activities, social structure ect... (sorry for the weird explanation... I'm an Anthropology major -_-;)

When I think of dolly I think like pale skin, loli dresses, stiff outfits... but that's completely different lol I think it's more referencing antique dolls with slightly darker skin (as oposed to stark white) and classic faded dresses. It's why I say the fashion seems like it would smell like an antique store. I'll have my mom send some pics to me since she collects antique dolls *shivers* (their a tad creepy). @ Otaku Libra: YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!! ANTHROPOLOGY FOR THE WIN!!!!! (is a double history anthropology major) Woot.

If you search on wikipedia, "Harajuku" it will have the history behind it all! From Fashion Styles to Location. ^^ Here is the link so you don't need to look it up yourself. It will also help out new people that are curious, I shall post it in links. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HarajukuCan't click, copy and paste! Thank you. ^^
