I personally have nothing wrong with video games. I kind of suck at them so I don't play them. I also find them a waste of time although I guess its a matter of opinion.
Do you play video games? Have a favorite one? Anyone like me and don't play them because they suck at them and think there a waste of their time?

I play videogames, don't really have a favorite because it always changes with my mood. Right this second probably Kingdom Hearts 2 or FF genre... I have to disagree with them being a waste of time because they can teach you many things depending on the genre, they help your reflexes and improve your abilities to solve problems. Of course as earlier mentioned this all depends on the genre. I used to suck at them long ago. But i am one of those weirdos that likes to do stuff I can't do to try to get better (though I am still average for the most part at videogames)...

On-topic, I love them. <3 The reasons why are probably some that someone who wasn't raised on them wouldn't understand. But I love it. I love mastering a game. I love escaping into a new world through a new character. And I love the geeky, sometimes elitist counter-culture that revolves around them. My only complaint is that it seems that my old N64 games are more fun than any new game I've played. And granted, a lot of that is probably because of nostalgia. But I also think that back in the day games had to have something to them other than looking pretty and they really had to be creative to create a compelling world that would draw gamers in. I feel that new games seem to look pretty and everything else feels flat, with a few exceptions. Also, it's become a very expensive hobby.

If you haven't yet, get The World Ends With You. It's pretty cheap used and it's also a Square Enix game. Even though it's on the DS, it's honestly one of my favorite games ever. Possibly second only to the Zelda series.

But you just can't be too sure How long this will last Happy almost birthday! Here's some info on the game: TWEWY's Official Site GameSpot Written Review IGN Video Review I absolutely love this game, and I look forward to sequels, even though Square Enix has a tendency to ruin its series with sequels. It's a really unique experience that completely draws you in.
Also, you're only a year younger than me and N64 dominates my memories of my elementary school years. I was all about Donkey Kong 64, Paper Mario, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I was a little too young for Ocarina of Time... A lot of Zelda fans can't stand Majora's Mask, but I love it...

I like so many of the N64 games. LoZ: OoT and MM, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mario 64, and Donkey Kong 64 were epic. Though Mario Galaxy did re-create that feeling again. The Kingdom Heart series was a great series too. I love the story line. I also like Monster Rancher and the first Digimon game (I loath the future Digimon games since it incorporates Bandai's pokemon-ish knock-off relaunch of the series).

Was that the M-rated one with the sexy squirrel on the cover? XD I remember seeing it at blockbuster but not being able to get it because I was too young. On top of the ones I mentioned, we had Kirby 64, Pokemon Stadium, Pokemon Snap, Hey You Pikachu (complete garbage), and Super Mario 64. I wasn't a fan of Mario Galaxy, but I didn't get that far into it. I was too young to get very far into either Zelda game when I was a kid, but I got most of the way through OoT (never actually beat it) and beat MM as a teenager. It's ridiculous how much easier TP is than either of the N64 games. I still loved it though and am waiting for the one that is supposed to come out at the end of the year. I never got into Wind Waker, but I'm told it's good. I hated Phantom Hourglass.
I never had a PS2 so I missed out on a lot of great games. I have played Kingdom Hearts, but I didn't get far enough to get into it. Because I didn't have a PS2 I missed out on a lot of the Final Fantasy games. I did genuinely like Crystal Cronicles for GC though, I was a preteen when that came out, but I hate what they've done to the series... And like I said, I LOVE TWEWY. Square Enix stuff is hit or miss with me. I'm not sure what my opinion is on the new Final Fantasy that comes out soon.

But you just can't be too sure How long this will last Crystal was a combination of Gold and Silver, right? They're remaking those! It comes out in March, I think. I just pre-ordered Soul Silver... *is a geek* The Pokemon games are still legitimately fun, regardless of age.
Which Zelda games were you thinking about getting? You might like Final Fantasy III for DS. It's cute. XD Warioware is fun. It's a bunch of unique micro mini games. People say Rhythm Heaven is really cool, but I haven't played it myself.
@rmcdra: I just looked up Monster Rancher. I remember watching the show as a kid. I used to have little plastic figurines! But I don't remember anything other than that. XD

Ooh! Some other good DS games: If you want a bit of a challenge and you like strategy, you might want to try Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I didn't like it very much but it has a following of people who really like it. Everybody says Scribblenauts is amazing, but I'm not entirely sure what it's about... XD Then there's always the other Kingdom Hearts if you don't already have it.

Rare re-made Conker's bad furday for the XBox but they censored some things in it like the "Great Mighty Poo" song. My only complaint about Mario Galaxy is that it was too short and a little on the easy side though adding Luigi with his quirks in the "second quest" made it a nice twist. Yes oddly enough TP was easier that OoT and MM. I liked Wind Waker. Phantom Hourglass was alright. Storyline seemed a too little "forced" for my liking. Yeah Square-Enix is pretty hit and miss. Though Enix before it's merger really had some unique games to say the least. Illusion of Gaia (might be before your time) was a great game.
