Does anybody know who plays Amber in the stage play? One of my friends hates Paris Hilton, and I'm trying to get her to dig what an awesome role that is anyway.

Well, the casts changed over time. The only name I can find right now is Penney Wei. In the short film that was made to get Lionsgate to agree to fund a full movie, Amber/Heather was played by Shawnee Smith.
This is the old version of Come Up And Try My New Parts if you want to let her hear some non-Hilton versions of Amber/Heather's songs. It's very different. Darren Smith also has a version more like the one that would have been in the movie on his Myspace; it was sung by his wife Nancy Long, who voiced Marni in the movie. I highly recommend his Myspace! There's some awesome music on it.

Yeah, I heard it was Shawnee Smith so yeah......
I heard Nancy Long's version of Come Up And Try My New Parts and it made me blush and I was very glad my mom wasn't near.....or dad for that matter 0.0 The thing is...it's catchy! xd

My parents don't care what I listen to, they saw me watch The Tudors with a whole lot of sex scenes. Plus I'm old enough to watch/listen to that kind of stuff.

I liked Nancy Long's version as well. I'm not sure about Shawnee Smith, though. I like her. But.. She can't sing. Then again, Paris can't really sing either. Or Heidi Montag... -Cough.- This is probably my own personal opinion however. In the short film's clip, 'Zydrate Anatomy', she shrieked the lyrics. I think that Paris Hilton played Amber's role quite well. Considering the fact that she's a wealthy, spoiled heiress. What can I say? Paris amuses me. But you're absolutely right. Perhaps more of the Saw fans would have seen Repo had she been in the film. (She coulda been a GenTern. >~>)

Well, what I meant was that I can look/watch/read that kind of stuff, it's just the fact that it would be kind of awkward if my Dad walked in and heard some breathy chick's voice saying things like "Slower!....Don't stop! Rawer!" I wouldn't get in trouble but still It would be awkward.

I liked the way she played Amber a lot and it would of been cool to at least see how she would of played in the other parts. Paris is entertaining, but still I like to stick with the way characters were made to act (by the creators). Though Paris did do a good job, but as Shovel said she is a rich spoiled person so who better to play it?!
