Alright, l don't mean to instigate but l was making an alt. mode for my friend's Dodge Nitro when the question hits me like a ton of bricks...
Where does their upholstery go?
ls this like Optimus's trailer? Do we just say it's magic and move on with our lives? l'm concerned and confused.

Well, look at the way Movie Optimus's wheels are animated to transform at the hip, for example. The outer wheel actually deflates, while the inner wheel splits into sections to let the outer wheel nest inside it.
When you look at that, upholstery would be really simple. It could just fold/roll up and store anywhere, really.
And then there's Alternators Grimlock, who wears his upholstery on his feet and doesn't care what he steps in. It's not like he'll ever let anybody sit in him anyway. pirate

You know, I was thinking the EXACT same thing the other day! eek Kind of like you don't see a convertible Transformer because of the hood. lol
But maybe it just gets folded up? Or the upholstery is actually a hologram and everything is made out of metal. Who knows? It's like Soundwave truning into a tiny boom box. It just doesn't make sense! blaugh
