It's a good thing I follow martial traditions that don't rely on firearms. Blades don't run out of ammo. Guerrilla tactics never go out of style.

Guns require as much skill as blades, in my opinion. The difference is that guns are louder, have more moving parts, and run out of ammo. If I have to pick one, it's the blade.

Half of the problem is not just the government's actions but also the human mind. As long as people are still unstable and without good foundation, they will always be feeble in mind and spirit. You must educate the public on the importance of self control and self thought. You can't just force something down their throats.

Guns became their new devices of defense and attack, so now they are one of their main tools of survival.

As a stalker, I shall say this, sir; if the guns were removed from the hands of everyone, criminals could easily obtain them by stealing them, thus increasing their ability to kick everyone without weaponry around.
And if you want someone dead with a weapon, why give them a chance to attack? They'll most likely jam the weapon into the back of your skull via stealth methods, or tackle you to the ground and shove it into your neck. Sure, you'll fight back, but you're dead already due to that severed artery.
The only truly glorious weapon is your fists. Those are the only weapons that never run out of ammunition, never dull, and never break...even if they're utterly reliant on how hard you can actually punch.

Guns may be for cowards, but they get the job done a great deal cleaner.

I honestly didn't expect this to turn into a "swords vs. guns" debate. As I said, both are equally useful and require equal skill. If you don't believe this then do some target practice with a modern firearm. It's not like an FPS. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. The same can be said of using the body as a weapon.

If you outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns. I fully support the right to keep and bear arms, be they guns, knives, swords, crossbows, trebuchets... Whatever. Homemade bombs probably aren't a good idea though, as storing them would be hazardous to everyone.

@jin-soo kwon: I had the feeling that the militia arrests recently were a play to turn people against legitimate militias. Militias already get a bad name because everyone thinks they're just racists with guns; now if you add in that they're terrorists then no one will want to join.
