*FIVE WEEKS AGO*

Seth wandered around the street, looking for the next interesting looking house. She paused at a house. Someone was yelling inside. It sounded like a child
"NONONONO!! I WANT IT!!! GIVE IT TO ME!" the loud voice shrieked.
Seth winced at the high pitched voice.
"What a brat" she muttered, and suddenly a sly grin grew over her face. "I think I have found my new need."
Seth slid into some bushes

*NIGHTFALL*

Seth glanced out of the bushes she had hidden in. She looked out carefully to see the last candle extinguished from the window. With a grin she climbed out and slide over to the house. She crouched by the door and pulled out her bone lock pick. She inserted it into the lock, and after hearing a click, she pushed open the door. The hallway was dark. Seth pulled out a matchbox and struck out the first one. The hall was sudden lighted up. She gasped. There were paintings all over the hallway and the sword that hung on a stand had a golden handle. She opened a case and found it to be filled with jewels. Sliding out 3 of the 8 jewels she started up the stairs. A door was open. She crept in seeing a sleeping form of a woman on the bed. There was a safe in the corner. Suddenly Seth knew where she was. She was in the Coulards mansion. The black safe, so the tales said, held 10,000 gold, as well as valuable traveling papers. The only ones in the city. Seth examined the lock and cursed. "There's no way I can pick that" she muttered.
Suddenly there was a noise down stairs "H-Hello" a timid voice called
"Crud" Seth hissed. She grabbed one of the many boxes on the table and ran over to the stairs. She stopped before she went down as she saw the candle flame. Looking franticly around for an escape route, Seth noted a large window. The only way left to escape.
Twelve feet from the ground, glass. Break through on back and make a 60 degree turn, momentum will carry the rest. Land on feet, physical injury minimal. Taking a breath Seth closed her eyes and made a running jump, doing just as she had planned, she broke right through the glass and landed right by the bushes in the back. There was a shriek behind her and Seth grinned "Night-night" she whispered running off into the night.

Meria gave a silent laugh at Seth, adrenaline already powering up her confidence, "Always."
She slipped her hand into her holed pocket, soon pulled out a small twig.
Meria wasn't sure how long she had kept the makeshift lock in the threadbare fabric she called a dress or how much effort went into cutting and pefecting it but she liked the result, Meria had never encountered a time when it didn't work.
"Are you ?" She asked her partner.

Meria flashed a grin and turned towards the door, soon picking it open.
She sneaked inside and was relieved to see no one in the house.
I forgot to check if anyone was in, amature mistake Meria- come on, think ! She turned round to Seth, where's the vault ? she mouthed.

Meria hopped up the stairs, keeping her ears out for the Coulard's Family while her eyes flicked around the large upstairs hall she was standing in.
Her blue orbs were soon attracted to a large, square box in an adjoining room and Meria turned round to Seth with a raised eyebrow.

Meria nodded and crept swifty to the safe, she bent down and edged her lock picker in the crack, the small stick taking longer than she had wanted to crack open the safe and her breathing began to fasten.
When the thick box swung open, Meria wasted no time in grabbing a nearby sack and scooping the treasure inside.
She stood up and went over to Seth, a proud swagger evident in her walk, Meria was just about to speak when she heard a loud noise from downstairs, her eyes grew wide as she stared at Seth. They aren't back, please say they aren't back.

"God in rags ?" Meria hissed back, feeling hyperventilation creep its arms around her throat, "How could that work ?"

Meria just sighed and jumped up beside Seth, "YES," She started in what she hoped to be an impressive voice, "BUT BEFORE WE REVEAL OUR MEANING, YOU MUST ... PROVE YOUR WORTHINESS ?"
