So, I was introduced to these the other day, and since it didn't have a filter, paper stuck off the end, which made it slightly resemble a joint. So I smoked it like one, and to my surprise it slightly tasted, smelt, and felt like pot. What's up with this? I didn't get high off of it, but the resemblance was uncanny. Has anyone else had these either?

Placebo effects are great. I've never had them, but I'm assuming your inhaling huge drags off a filterless cigerette dicked with your senses.

I wouldn't say it was a placebo, but you could be right.

It could be the upfront effects of the new fire-retardant in cigarettes now. With out a filter, you're getting more chemicals. Before they put the FR in cigarettes, I smoked a Camel Filter-less, and it didn't do much...though I was already high. The fact that my friends ****** lipped it (excuse my language, it's just how we describe people getting the cigarette and joint/bowl all covered in saliva. I'm not that racist.) could have added to it not giving me a high. But smoking a cigarette after weed boost our high usually. Menthol, not full flavor. Newports.

I think everyone refers to it as '****** lipping', it's okay.

Placebo effect? Eh... *shrug*
Oxygen deprivation, however. That smoke's a lot thicker without the filter, remember. ^_~
*sigh* And I do remember that one pack of Djarums years ago... pure clove, unfiltered, came in a little tin... halfway through the first one, I realized I was feeling slightly stoned, just from that! xd

I miss djarum blacks. crying I never had the pleasure of smoking the unfiltered ones, though, only the ones in the black fold packs with the silver print. I tried to get a few packs before the ban, but I guess the gas stations got the heads up, went to 8$ a pack. mad

There was a ban on Djarums? We still have them around here.

Where you live? Flavored and clove smokes are banned here in the US.

I can walk down the road to the gas station and get a pack. They still sell them there. I don't know why, I don't know how, but they sell them.

It's still illegal, but I mean really, how do you enforce that bullshit ban? You can still buy off the net, and no cops are raiding gas stations to take away all their remaining pre-ban stock of smokes.
The only thing the ban has done was made me swap back to turkish golds and royals.

I knew flavored Camels were banned, due to it was more alluring to children to smoke them. I've never really smoked a clove, what's it like? Like Menthol, but better?

I guess you'd describe them like a strong normal cig, with more flavor, and a different throat chill. For every djarum black I'd smoke I'd need three full flavors. I only smoke when I drink, thank god.
